This series is better than your pronunciation. ;p ya-ma-no-te There's only five vowel sounds and we (basically) have them all in English. a - as in "father" i - as in "see" u - as in "do" e - as in "egg" o - as in the letter "O" There's no rounding on u and o like we have in English (so don't purse your lips), but once you remember them Japanese pronunciation becomes much easier because they're always pronounced the same.
