Hi everyone, this is JD, your gadget review friend!
Samsung S10e was released February of 2019 so its 3.5 years old now. So technically the performance should dip down a bit but thats not the case. Mind you I own a Samsung Galaxy S22 which is obviously faster than S10e but this phone offered more and sometimes bwtter than the new S22.
So today we will talk about my own experience with this phone, the features that arent present on the new s22 and reasons that made this phone a better choice than S22!

Just bought it again to use as my work phone. Needed the small form factor to comfortably fit in my pocket while I'm moving around. Fingerprint reader never misses either. Just a great phone plus it's beautiful.
Using my s10e to watch this video, one of the best phone I've ever use. I'm considering switching to Google pixel soon anyway but I'm still keeping this one

I still have my S10e.....if I had one small gripe about my phone, it's not green (I have the Prism White version) I saw one back in the Philippines, and it look great. Fantastic phone to have...
Still using this phone since launch. I just replaced the battery and it's working good just like before. tbh the snapdragon 855 is more than enough for most average consumers. Cheers mate nice cover on this phone!

@@GadgetRevNow Oh I see! Thanks to the micro sd slot for more storage and heaphone jack for an ease to connect the rode. If it's okay. Can I ask what channel was it that was used for the vlog? I would really love to check the phone's video quality.
@@saifulehsan5839 Hmmm. If you're an average user it does not heat up based on my experiences. But it really depends in your place if it's hot or cold. Most old flagship phones does generate more heat because of the chipset's build and size and It's completey normal. But if you like gaming (Heavy games) on this device it gets really warm fast but not to the extent of overheating. The reason I still use it is because of the essentials on this phone is still very viable for me. Hope this helps!

I've been using S10e Exynos for 3 years now and it's still a good one-of-a-kind phone. I mean it's fast, the camera is fine, software support is also good and it has audio jack and memory card slot which is important to me. That's why I'm not gonna upgrade anytime soon cuz there are no other similar compact android phones on the market. My biggest and probably the only complain is the poor battery life. It wasn't perfect back when I bought it and now it's just bad. Some days when i use it more I have to charge it multiple times a day. I got used to carrying charger everywhere so it's nothing that would make me buy a new phone though. I wish they would make an upgraded version of this phone...something similar like Apple has done with Iphone SE for example.
sadly my s10e which i bought back in 2019 died today. Such a great phone and I may buy another one because no phones can replace it though

I recently bought a new and sealed Galaxy S10E for the compact form factor, power and the headphone jack. I use usb audio player pro to access the phone's internal high res dac directly in bit perfect signal bypassing androids upsampling and processing resulting in a clean detailed and dynamic sound with a very low noise floor. I compared this playback mode with my astell & Kern AK-HC3 dongle dac (which uses dual ESS Sabre dacs one dedicated to left and right) and they sounded pretty much indistinguishable which says a lot about a well implemented and accessed 3.5mm jack of the Samsung phones. No surprise my phone is a snapdragon variant too.

Still the best Samsung phone. S22 came close, but not quite, though it has higher refresh rate screen. If you compare prices though, S10e is insanely good value right now. Every year we lose some functionality, bring back 3.5mm jack to flagships, that's what I miss the most.
bought an brand new sealed 100 procent original Samsung s10e Snapdragon version last month for 200 euro. Everything is good accept de battery. I get 5 hours max screen in time with medium use. Samsung did a horrible job of optimizing this phone and you can't get any custom rom on the Snapdragon version to improve battery. With power save mode on battery is a little better. It seriously sucked. I returned it today.
I bought this phone 1 week ago and i love it. It costed me around 230 us dls and it's like a new phone, snapdragon, i use it as my second phone for work. I love the camera and for my regular use the battery lasts more than a day. 👍☺️
Nice one Laura! I had for like 3 years now and it is surprisingly good. I cant part ways with this LOL. I mean, the front cam is as good as rear for vlogging... and yeah, like what you mentioned and super affordable now 😊😉

I think the only noticable update between this and the s21/22 series will be the higher refresh rate display and the highly upgraded cameras, especially for videos

@@GadgetRevNow yes i actually was thinking of buying S10+ to save some money and saw a lot of camera comparisons and asked for opinions from people who owned the S10 series. According to them the camera update between S10 and s20 was quite big

I wish Samsung continues to make phones in the form factor of the S10e. Imagine Samsung discontinuing the FE line up, and replace their budget A series with a flagship processor with the design of the Galaxy S10e. Clearly, that would be Samsung competing against Apple's iPhone SE line up.

Good review. I bought this around four days ago. The SD version. For below 200 dollars. and it's like completely brand new . even the frame stickers are intact. Everything works as good as new . 👌
Yea you just gotta worry about the battery and Samsung stopping the service of these phone by January 2023. Not gonna last long. Would’ve spent the 200 on an iPhone 12 mini. All the carriers have em for less than 200 in-store.

Also didn't notice any difference between battery performance after replacing it. The phone last on new battery maybe 10% time more instead of the old one :(
You earned this score after swapping battery? Did you make any custom setup for it?
Yea same... the battery life really blows, sadly. I have mine for 3 years now and its terrible. I use it for work/private and when I get home it's nearly empty, without any heavy use (just calls, some swiping on lunch break).
I am getting an s10e I hear its excellent all around but battery not that good
The Galaxy S10e was a good phone when I had it back in 2019. I am on the Z Fold4 now and this device is incredible. One feature I do miss from older Galaxy phones is the microSD card slot. Just like you, I do quite a bit of video editing on my phone so having the ability to expand the memory would have been nice. Many people say that the microSD card slot is not needed, but they are wrong especially if someone wants to do photo and video editing on their phone. I am thinking about picking up a Galaxy XCover6 Pro as a secondary Samsung device due to it having a lot of the old features.

Just bought a brand new sealed factory unlocked. 5.8" diagonal display screen and must have SD-card slot, not available on newer flagship models.
Favorite phone of all time! And just changed my micro SD card today! Oh And Samsung gave us a software update just like 2 weeks ago!

I didn't even know that "e" stood for economy lol i just bought a second handed one yesterday i am truly surprised the battery would last longer than expected ..the darkmode helps i guess... also wow the speaker is extravagant.... i have the s21 ultra and i think i probably use this for calls and text due to it's size.... i couldn't even keep myself away from this phone.... it's a shame that i only took interest in this phone... this could have my main phone all the way... just wow

Mine did not age well. I bought it when it first came out, and it used to be fast and the battery used to last very long. Now it lasts 3 hours and is literally getting slower and slower😶

@@asbani07 well it entirely depends on usage, it's a great phone and it's at a crazy low price right now. But battery isn't great after a while, I don't use mine that much because I'm usually on my Tab S6 drawing or gaming. If you're using it none stop 100% to 0% on moderate usage, I would expect like 4 hours depending on the battery life and what you're doing on it. Light gaming lasts like 3 hours and heavy gaming like 1 1/2 to 2 hours depending on the game. I personally use mine on and off throughout the day during short breaks and good thing is that it actually lasts me like 6-7 hours. But I were you i would instead get an S10 Plus or Note 10 it has somewhat better battery life.
@@shrekadina That's kinda bad, but yeah it depends on battery health and usage, i work 8 hours a day and most of it is just waiting for customers, I picked S10e because of it's lovely size and that fingerprint scanner. and honestly the looks and feel of the phone is immaculate. I'd say i'm a lightweight user that uses his phone from 100 to 0 nonstop if at work. Like i said i browse the internet/social media more rather than playing. either way every battery health is different than the other. and i'm also getting the snapdragon variant which is reportedly better than exynos

512 GB limit on the SD card not bad at all and the photo quality is better than the over saturated 200MP lie that Samsung now states on their S23 ultra which is totally wrong, my 20MP point and shoot runs circles around the S23 ultra. It's so bad I refuse to take anymore pictures with the ultra which btw is for sale.

2023 and in to 2024. Mine works great!
Mine stopped working in 2021, and I had to fix it, and it broke down again in 2023 and doesn't work anymore.
I use iPhone 12 Mini now, and this phone have only 64 GB, but at least it's working compared to S10e.
S10e or Pixel 4a ???? Choose any one
Maybe I'm replying too late, the Galaxy S10e is way much better imo. Pixel 4a is a mid-range phone with Snapdragon 730G while the Samsung has the Snapdragon 855 in NA variant, which still offers good and smooth performance (even better than various actual mid-range processors). Probably the Pixel 4a has better cameras for being a Pixel, but overall the Galaxy S10e is better.
