Welcome back flat display. For what this phone offers I think Samsung did an excellent job. Compact, reverse charging, headphone jack, ip68, 6to8gb's of ram, 128gb's of base storage. Let's face it this phone is a homerun!

But there is no qhd resolution, a mediocre battery and missing one of the back cameras. It's alright, but why can there not be an s10f as in flat or something?
@@Diamoondust The resolution makes almost no difference whatsoever, and let me tell you, the battery is is no way mediocre. I get 6-8 hours screen time on my S10e (Snapdragon), with no power saving stuff enabled. If the regular S10 devices had two cameras instead of three, you wouldn't be complaining about the ones on the S10e.

Just ordered one, as an upgrade for my old S8. Having damaged the curved screen on the S8, the flat screen on the S10e is a definite selling point.
I chose s10e because it's smaller and a flat screen. So far, I'm satisfied with the performance

Very happy i chose this over the s10 and s10+.
I also am regretting getting the S10 as it’s just slightly too big. Yet don’t like the bigger bezel on the S10E either. Thinking of staying on my iPhone X until the S11 or S12 whenever the bezels get smaller. I do like the flat display more hence my issues with the S10. I like the metal frame being substantial enough to grip comfortably too. Never was an apple person but may force it for a year or so.

The phone itself is small
I have a Huawei P10 from 2017 with a 5.1" screen. The S10e is smaller in height (145.3mm vs 142.2mm), but 0.6mm wider (69.3mm vs 69.9mm) and 0.9mm thicker. I'd say it's still a very small phone. The screen just isn't.

Watching this on my s10e, great review and everything is pretty much on point, although I have the exynos version and it's really poorly optimized, so battery life is considerably lower than on the snapdragon variant
@Nine Hills I get 4-5hrs with conservative brightness, kept it though because I really like the form factor and everything else, there's nothing exactly like it. Iphone Xs is too expensive and iPhone Xr too chunky and looks like a toy. I just hope they release an update as the android system alone eats up about 20% of the battery per day whereas with snapdragon it's like 3%
@@rayana4046 Had a huawei phone for a few years, the UI quickly got sickening, felt too much like a chinese copy of iOS, and launchers didn't fix that. But if you like the ui then yeah
@Nine Hills Yea that's terrible I would return it too. On the SD version I'm getting 6-7 hours.
Had to return my pre-order because the battery was horrible and it's the snapdragon version but the replacement gets me close to 8 hrs on screen time where as the dud barely got 4! Other people have complained about similar issues

I saw the Galaxy S10e at Verizon today and it grew on me a lot like damnn
Owning the phone myself, you can hardly call that a chin, it's just a bit more pronounced on the black model because the bottom bezel blends in to the black frame, making it look thicker. In reality that bottom bezel is only marginally thicker than the iPhone Xr all around bezel.

Please stop picking at the chin. I tested this phone at a store and it was barely noticeable. That's like very very very nitpicking. Unfortunately, psychologically, mentioning about the chin will turn heads and make some folks feel the need to want even less. Stop it! lol this is pretty damn good. Be...happy! lol
Overall, this was a great video! Thanks for diving in deeper into the storage and battery life settings. I didn't get to test that at the store.

When you are watching a video on the phone, turn it so that the punch hole is at the bottom right and it wont be that much of a distraction if you're one of those people.
I do the same thing if it starts to bother me but most times it doesn't lol 😂

The S10e has a lower screen resolution. Not quite as sharp as the S10 and S10+. We all know that a higher pixel rate is the nemesis of battery life. That being said, the S10e (with it's lower screen resolution) will not be as taxing on battery usage.
I just copped this phone 4 days ago. Get it. You won't be disappointed, perfect size, screen is beautiful. Battery life is great.
I love my s10e. Night mode reduces power use by a lot so I use it exclusively.
I bought this phone yesterday and it's going to come in the mail next week
It's funny you mention call quality. The S7E I had a few years ago had THE BEST phone quality I've ever heard on any phone. Samsung kills it on phone call quality.

My Pixel 3 XL has better call quality than the S8, S9+ and Note 9 I had. Never getting back on the Samsheep bandwagon (nor iSheep for that matter) again. ;}

@@pranaym3859 Bear in mind a lot of variables factor into it, depending on variant, region and carrier. So I can believe his experiences even if mine are different.
I have almost the exact opposite situation: Love my OG Pixel XL in many ways over my former DD, Samsung Note 5 (lack of bloat, timely OS updates, better cameras and battery life).
But the Note *unquestionably* had better call signal strength. The Pixel is adequate most of the time, but overall I've had more dropped calls.
Worst of all, the Pixel cannot take or make a 4G/LTE call anywhere in my GF's home or even neighborhood. I have to switch it to 3G and then switch it back to text or do anything that relies on data. Drives me nuts! 😫😩

I've been wanting a flat screen phone so so much. But I have been very hesitant about leavibg samsung because of how much I love the phones and the only thing that I seem to be displeased with is the curved screen. I'm so glad they brought the flat screen back

How is the battery compared with the pixel 2 xl?
@Nick Ackerman, what is your opinion on the battery life after using it some time? Compared to P30 for example? On sites like GSMarena the battery rating is almost the same, but is it though? Because if it is, i would directly buy S10e, as its so easy to use, im just scared the battery will not be much better than my old HTC 10. P.S. if anybody has experience in either of this phones, pls let me know.
Samsung should just use SD 855 instead of exynos version
jad mine two weeks as well. You can make the phone bezless with a trip to the setting. Does not have power share like its big brothers. And found out it was very hard to text I do have large hands. Took a bit of getting used it. Ive owned every S phone and this is the best phone ive eber owned. I bought it just for the size. Battery life is great yes a smaller battery but a smaller phone. Better life then all my previous S phones. Fastest phone awesome clearity. Great colors. Three cameras is perfect...now waiting for the S11e

Perhaps you could show us how you fooled the face unlock because I haven't been able to do it yet with my 10e and I used a wide format printer to print a high res photo of my face along with using a picture from my Note 8 and nothing.

Should I upgrade from my S9 to this? I love the size of the phone since I like compact phones if u can even call it that lol I feel like it's more of a downgrade because of the lower resolution. Also the fingerprint scanner seems to be somewhat unconfortable to reach.

Looks like a mini Note 9 if you ask me. I do wish the Note 9 would've foregone the telephoto lens and went with the super wide angle. That would've sort of "future-proofed" it
