For those bitching over voice acting and lack of customization let me shed some light. The cheesy dialogue is from the vanilla version back in 2006. And hasn't changed since 2012 when they added one new intro and win dialogue. The customization is lacking because its a different than the other 3 VF5's this is the dragon engine and will take a while for the devs to remake and add in all of your favorite goodies. I understand 15 years for *_this_* is saddening but patience is key.
A lot of the faces aren't as bad as some people say, but man do some of them look off. Jacky looks really rough and Lion looks like a kpop star (not in a good way)

VF5 Final Showdown has 6 Costume Types including swimsuits for every character (it is the 6 costume type), are they available as DLC as it seems they are not available in the base game?
@@Stylfallen makes sense. If you’re going to remake everything in the game with Yakuza engine, you gotta make look good. Hopefully, the extra costumes make it for the summer since the sixth and final set are swimwear and bonus outfits.

@@jkdman2007 They don't need to simplify anything, its actually the "simplification" of the 3 button control scheme that make it seem "overly complex", when really it isn't. The game really has a "6 function" control scheme that is being squeezed into 3 buttons. It doesn't need to be that way. This is the part people have the hardest time understanding when they first play the game. They could have dedicated "technique" buttons and make full use of a controller. Currently, you can bind button combinations to a single button press, but its a bit janky compared to if they refined the move sets to a 4/5 button scheme. Regardless, this whole bit is why I find people have a hard to digging into VF. When people finally learn how the buttons combinations work, they realize how refreshingly deliberate the actually game is.

I think Ryo Hazuki from Shenmue has a higher chance of being DLC. Idk that's just what I think, but at the same time Kiryu and the Yakuza games are more popular
Because Sega got lazy with the voice recording. Everyone speaks either Japanese or English because it's easy for a Japanese company who has an American branch to get a hold of people who speak those languages. Perhaps if Sega is brave enough to fund an actual new VF game, they will take a page from modern Tekken's book and actually have everyone speak thier native language.
The customisation was a waste of money in my opinion compared to the original Virtua Fighter 5 final Showdown. It is extremely lacking quite a few character else and costumes. For example you're able to give Vanessa Lewis Virtua Fighter 4 look. And there are even more costumes that were interchangeable. I just hope sega adds these costumes back over time.

They seriously need to use new voice actors cause this is ridiculous not to mention new fighting effects otherwise it just ruin the purpose, and another thing can the voice clips not make them sound like they're using voice effects, the gameplay is good the character designs are good but it would've killed the purpose if they'd at least called it virtua fighter 6, used new pre battle, victory and losing poses, and had new characters, but no y'all wanna keep it and remaster it, I don't think so, you got soul calibur 6, tekken 7, and dead or alive 6, it's only fair that virtua fighter should have a 6th tournament.
Yeah, the sounds could use a facelift too. I mean, it is 15 year old stuff, but even 15 years ago I thought the sound effects could use a "re-imaging" even back then. They decided to keep them like the arcade version which, helps with telegraphing fight information to players that know VF, but I always wanted them to create new versions of those classic sounds.

Only 3 costumes for now. The rest will be available later. The devs said in a interview that they need more time to remake the other costumes.
