Nicer part is seeing the characters who weren't part of VF1's roster now realized in low polygons.
It's amazing that they completely remade the graphics without it being Virtua Fighter 6.
In fact, if they had added a couple new characters and stages, they could have named this VF6. Graphics are among the best on fighters for PS4.
The first game to innovate 3D polygon graphics.
Check out I Robot by Atari
Not even close.
he probably meant fighting game
Graphics haven't change too much in recent deca...
Well.. Keep in mind, these are classic-inspired low-polygon skins. Back in '95, Virtua Fighter looked even worse. I would know - I was there. :P
Especially the 32x version lol. These retro inspired models from this video would have blown my mind if they looked this clean, sharp and "high poly" back in the day. The Saturn version is what I owned back in 95 when I was 10 years old and it wasn't a bad port. It still fell short of the arcade version but it was as close to the arcade experience as anyone could get at home and 10 year old me was still blown away by the Saturn port (and the fact that I didn't have to beg my parents for quarters)
0:20 I always think this little stomp so cute. ^.^
The low/retro-poly mode should have been PS5's first native 8K game! 8K in low-poly would be insane lol. Make is 120fps too!
VF1 graphics in 8k at 120fps would be amazing.
Agreed! I was hoping to get that and in VR. I find the original VF1 stages to be totally doable in VR
Kind of amazing how far we've come.
So nearly all the characters have defied aging, except for Lau Chan! 😅
El Blaze is good even in the classic form.
They could've just made this the entire game and I would've been happy
Least we have 10th Anniversary...
Only complaint I have are the lack of cloth/hair physics of any kind. They were present in the original too!
imagine if they did all the classic stages
Can you have all of this in retro-polygon during online battle? This would actually make me commit to newer fighting games.
* Intense flash back to playing this on saturn in summer with my pa and brah *
0:23 Tao Pai Pai it's you?
awebo tao pai pai presente
There is a special charm to the low poly models.
I think I'm having flashbacks to VF4: Evolution and 10th Anniversary.
Damn near 30 years later the bot became the champion
I wish if they did a vf6 to do the same but with vf2 models
Is Sega Japan too cheap to bring back the other Virtua Fighter 1 stages?
Is there a way to also change the physics back to VF1's style? I'm guessing probably not. Although I really did enjoy anti airring my opponent by jumping up and doing a high jump kick and sending them flying lmao
Those characters are amazing
no dural😢
I miss goh's hoodie.
Bought the pack still can't get it to show up tho
This is the most disappointing VF for me.
Imagine a game like tekken 7 is still booming, and you expect to come back by just being "competitively focused". Sure, if you're a long time player, who's been waiting for a new release since final showdown, then sure, this is for you, but without the single-player content like quest mode and the customization, i just don't feel like i have a way to practice, and get rewarded for doing so.
Until vf6 is released, i'm sticking to original vf5 ps3.
How do u get these outfits
Paid DLC.
@@anasbakhit4303 I have the dlc and I can't find how to get the original models. It's driving me crazy how I can't find any information anywhere on the internet about it! Please help

once you bought the DLC in the characters select screen highlight a character and press □ square, choose VF P1 or VF P2.
not only that, you can even play in the classic stages too with its glory flat texture and low polygons count.
Akiras neck looks too long in legendary mode :(
터미네이터2의 T1000이
변화하는거 같냉
Song?
VF5 Retro stage theme
So im having a dilemma was the tekken creator Inspired by this game or was it the other way around tekken and this game look too close to each other both artistically and in presentation even the characters are almost the same there’s Paul Phoenix there’s a king a Nina a wang etc so who copied who’s homework here?
From what I recall Virtua Fighter was the first 3D fighting game and then when Tekken was bring developed a fraction of the devs who worked on VF went to work on Tekken
@@MoonlightStrider thank you I really wanted to know man i mean they have a lot in common
By the old designs and skins maybe this game could be the grandfather of roblox
virtua fighter 1 came out in 1993 virtua fighter 3 came out in 1996 in those 3 years sega made a leap in graphics that today technology needs 15 years to make it happen
1. senseless comparison and 2. ever heard of diminishing returns?
yeah crazy, also vf2 was in 94 and looks like few generations ahead
Its almost like games take way more effort to make these days
