I love this game to death, I really do. The issues in this game are so hilariously bad sometimes. Thankfully for Crytek, Hunt Showdown is such an amazing game that I am willing to roll with the stupid bugs that keep coming up. Very few games would get that kind of resilience from me.
during the last event i was playing a duo against trios. my friend was using a bomblance and i was using a levering terminus. boss is banishing so i rush the compound and kill the bounty team. boss finishes banishing so my teammate and i pick up the bounty. we scan and we see a trio coming to us. im thinking lets bring it on while my teammates game decides to pull a pro gamer move and crashes right as the enemy trio gets ontop of us. they kill my teammate and then i VOIP. "welp im screwed. teammate crashes, im down a bar and you three roll up" the other team laughed and decided to let me live in exchange for looting the bodies. then another team rolls up so now its a trio trying to defend me from another trio as i wait for my teammate to reconnect. all the while the trio trying to defend me is using my teammates body as a tactical resupply while they try to reconnect. you know your game has issues when enemy players will take pity on other hunters for having game errors. they even offed to give us all the bounties on the map (real good people, after they said that i threatened to kill all of them if THEY didnt take all the bounties on the map for being good people) just goes to show you how the entire community is dealing with these issues to the point they feel pity on other hunters when it happens and its so common.
That's an incredible story that had me smiling ear to ear. Sorry about your friends game crashing, happy you met some absolute chads in the wild who met you halfway. Thanks for commenting!
I stopped playing when the "matchmaking" was pairing me and my duo who were casual 2 1/2 stars with trio gangs of 6+ stars. that, and when the cool cosmetics events would happen and new battle passes opened we saw hackers in 7/10 lobbies killing everyone on the map with a non scoped mosin or some other rifle, head shotting out of spawn. when we contacted one of the hackers and asked them why they hack, they said "because its easy, the devs dont care to ban any of us, and we make alot of money grinding accounts up and selling them." I actually respected that honest answer more than the developers.
Oh the cheaters are out of control, you get shot in the head through bushes over 100 meters with no scope rifes while moving. All profiles only have hunt and no other games or private.
Also fair take considering the state of last update. 2.1.1 had an embarrassing number of regressions. Majority are addressed in 2.2 releasing this week, but been a long stretch to put up with. Appreciate the support and the candor. Better days ahead.

Had a friend crash during a match just before the event ended. He had sealed cache bounty and we were chasing after main bounty team. They've been in a gunfight at compound and were just about to reach extract, he catches up to them and is just about to fire from a bush when the DC happens. Luckily they must have been out of seconds because if they checked dark sight they would have found him for sure and they must not have checked the map either. I decided to let them go because I was down my duo partner and there was still others skulking around. Bounty team escapes and then a Felis comes up on us from behind with a shotgun, luckily I was able to take her out with my Bomblance, missing the initial shot but getting her with the melee. My friend re-connects, I deny her necro revive and then we extract. Was still a fun match for me, but obviously players crashing during gunfights isn't a good thing for the game. I've also noticed a really annoying bug with Dark Tribute that's been going on since the engine update where it just doesn't tell you what your reward is. It doesn't happen every time, but it's been over half the time from my experience.
I have a 1000+ hours , the problems keep adding up and all the regulars I play with started playing less and less. Me too. And the greed adds to the matter. Hope they fix their shiet so we can enjoy it like old Hunt
Must agree , bugs and lags have turned solid 80% of random people i play on discord with to total salt bags . Luckily after a good search you can always find calm , funny and great people to play with . Latley i kinda get trigerred by Hunts dev team because they waste money on some bs ghostfaces and Malone interviews , witch is money that could be spent on server upgrades . But it is what it is and i love Hunt
i have about 100 hours in hunt and have started playing about two months ago. The state of the bugs, performance issues and server issues is by FAR the worst i have seen in any game. Some days you wouldn't notice them, but then one day i just crash two games in a row, fail to reconnect due to a bug, and just lose my hunter + 15 minutes of my life restarting the game and my PC. It's honestly "unacceptable" in my opinion for a game this big to have these many issues. But here i am because this is one of the best games i've played. The gameplay and art is next level.
I found the pattern with the disbanding of the party. I had me and my buddies win a couple games and it didnt happen so i guess you just have to win and never lose.
A little late to the party, but this video could be summed up to: He made a video where he basicelly said bullshit from A to Z, he got shit for it and the excuse is: He had not played for a week, so he wasn't aware of the state of the game, yet he chose the release a video about a subject he did not know a thing (and from what he say on this one, still don't). Hey wanna know the cool part? Literally every bug I listed was covered and fixed in a recent patch. Not kidding, you can go down the list and individually check off every single issue I had and it is listed in the patch notes. So that means the issues I was having were not only real, but fixed. I've played hunt since then and not had these issues again. I've spoken on this topic repeatedly in my videos following this. For the record, If you're going to throw a nothing burger comment under my videos you could at least put in the slightest bit of effort to make it make sense. At the end of the day you can choose to not believe what I say. I ultimately have nothing to gain from lying to you all as a small channel made entirely for passion in my free time between work shifts and nothing else. I had no issues in the game, I took a break because I was very busy. I came back, I was suddenly having issues in the game, so I made a video about it. And lastly, David fifield himself commented and admitted that this patch referenced in this video was a major step back for the hunt team and they would fix it going forward. Great video, i do feel like a lot of these issues were still present even before the most recent update, me and a lot of the people that i play with nearly always experience issues with textures, invisible weapons, shitty performance, and reconnecting issues. I personally have had an issue present since hunt 2.0's launch with reconnecting, when i leave during the in-game reconnect sequence, all of my hunt showdown files will corrupt and i have to reinstall the entire game. Otherwise, great video!

These issues have been around for longer than a week, its been a downhill slide since 1896... Consider yourself lucky if you you've only been experiencing this recently. They game didn't just suddenly fall apart in 7 days. Skins and events have been a priority while bug fixes get left by the wayside Preformance in compounds on the new map is terrible, candle light and flairs can be seen trough buildings and terrain... There are sooo many issues, but im glad you are willing to talk about them rather then telling people to ignore them while singing the "hunt is fine" mantra...
Not just since 1896. This has been happening for a long time now. Crytek just ignore a problem and hope it goes away and then can't figure out why people won't stick around. The game has barely changed, progression is much the same, the events are almost always some variation on the same thing, bugs have been around for years. Very odd balancing choices from custom ammo to people being paired against players much better than them, no change to cheating and camping, the list of little issues is a thousand word essay which just drives people away even if they love the aesthetic and the gunplay, which everyone does.
I’m a console player and I personally don’t run into any performance issues or really any major bugs. Except whenever I play with a specific friend, it’ll kick him out the party or won’t even let him join back from time to time. So we just reboot the game and beisdes the occasional invisible tools bug but then it reappears in the hunters hand after a couple seconds but nothing game breaking.
you lucky! 30-60 minutes finding my friends in lobby ..no structures ..in dark places everything i see seems to "wash" together so i cant see shiat.... :( i love this game since 4000 hours. sometimes i think no game ever again will make this possible but come onnnnnn fuck all this events get that together pleeease
2:45 I think someone in the community noticed that CPU usage goes down significantly if you open the settings menu in the lobby. Not sure why this is the case. Edit: you know, the theory of uploading an "older build" after an event ends might actually explain a lot. You might be onto something. I wonder if they have the "post-event" build ready to go near the start of an event so some of the fixes don't make it to the post-event builds.
Yeah, after the event stuff's been miserable, they need to get their act together. Performance is WAY more important than any cosmetic or tone issue ever could be.
my biggest problem with hunt rn is the lack of cross invite. Me and my boy (xbox vs ps5) cant play the game together without random queing, often in duo vs trio
Played a few matches earlier. Only bug i got was the party disband but that's easy to tolerate. Btw my specs are 5800x3D and 1080 ti, playing in 2k with high settings and fsr on quality. Fps rarely go under 70 and usually stay in the 80s, sometimes going to 100. Can also stream the game on discord fine without any noticeable fps drop
So, I just now noticed something that proves that they indeed did UPLOAD AN OLDER BUILD. One of the patch notes from a while back was that they fixed a corrupt “HEX BREAKER” skin and guess what? It’s back and I have picture proof of this

The current balance and the overall performance is just not making me want to play to be honest. I wasn’t hot on the new direction they’re taking with Ghostface etc but that’s such a minor issue compared to just the game feeling fun to play. I don’t feel like I’m having fun anymore. I’m like hard stuck at high 6* ELO and every game is miserable. Nobody has fun. Nobody engages. It’s win by any costs. Yesterday I had like 4 crashes total and I just can’t be bothered anymore.
Balance-wise it's definitely been worse before. But the performance is the biggest issue right now. I hope it gets ironed out before the circus update.
And the best part is content creators fighting against each others if issues are there or the game is fine. At the end of the day, everyone wants the same. A good and positive hunt experience. Talking down problems is as bad as overexaggerating them. Community needs to fucking unite and show crytek that enough is enough and that we need fixes and quality content. No lazy copy pasta events and also no collabos. Fix your sinking boat before inviting more guests.
You know what, I gotta admit I admire people having the balls to reconsider their opinions. I'm trying to do this aswell as much as I can, I'm not perfect on that aspect but I'm trying. I really love the game to death, and I can't stop playing it cause there's no game like this, it is very unique and the gameplay loop is insanely fun. But the game's technical aspects are baffling, no other competitive fps has such terrible netcode and servers, has such baffling bugs that are here since forever... The only issue I have had this week is rubber banding. I run a 13 series intel with a comp built to handle hunt. Do you think maybe their specs required aren’t enough? I send my friends don’t have nearly any of these issues. Strange how I see it being fine but then multiple people have this.
@ I’m confused how you said that it’s great now your upset and dealing with issues I’m not on pc mabey it’s a smoother experience for you but for us console guys man we have to deal with these kind of issues every single match we play on ps5 and on xbox the frames are so bad it can be almost unplayable certainly not fair. @@Superevilfurball ahh alright. Well, the other day I was largely defending the game without having a greater idea of the whole picture. I hadn't played the game myself in a week and a half. I'm still defending a majority of my stances on hunt, but in this video I was admitting that essentially I'm now experiencing the performance issues that a lot of folks mentioned. I didn't have them before. So I figured that now that I was faced with new information and experiences, it would be a good time to own up to my mistake and explain my new experiences and new thoughts on the issue. Dude. That is frustrating. I don't have most of the bugs you show. But this lobby failing after each match is annoying. I already heard from a friend that he still had the mousecursor in game... I don't know why they struggle so hard to get into calm water.
Well at least the company budget is being well spent on popular IP licensing like Ghost Face and Post Malone. There's no better way to spend the $100k+/IP instead of investing in better server tech and paying for more dev staff and/or a test server.
Started playing back in 2022 for the first time. Recently came back for the Ghosts event. My buddy (who also came back) and I are addicted and Hunt is now one of my regular games, but damn it if the servers and spaghetti code don't try their best to get us to move on again. For now I'm having enough fun to tolerate the B.S., but this game will never grow with the fundamental performance issues it has - let alone get back the players it had at peak popularity. Server stability and game performance need to be Crytek's top priority. Put everything else on hold and get it ironed out, or everything else eventually won't matter as the playerbase dwindles.
I'm happy to see more folks coming to the game. I myself am even taking a break right now until the next event. Hopefully they iron it out or the event will be a dud :/
Last hotfix added nothing but bugs for me. I didn't find any bugs fixed not even the mouse cursor bug. Can't stay in a group anymore and have to alt + f4 even more. And like you said performance got a huge hit. I can't even snipe anymore, on distance I only see washy ghosts walking around like what you get when the dlss is really bad, I tried turning the quality up but sadly it did nothing.
I really appreciate the humble response here mr. Horse. Sadly Hunt is in a terrible state right now, and its so sad because it is a fantastic game, any and all complaints I have come from a place of passion and love for the game and wanting it to be better, if it wasn't a great game I would srug and move on, but I don't want to, I want the hunt I knew and loved so much. The community is damn right to post the negative reviews and complain to crytek, if we don't, they will just let it fall further into the mire.. I am all for events and new content, but right now they are decorating a crumbling building when they should be fixing the foundations instead.
The only issues I encountered among yours was the party disbanding after a match, and that was about 1 in 5 matches. Bit other than that hits 90 fps at high as always.
It took me only 3 matches of having to rebuild the goddamn lobby with my friends every single time to give up on the game until they fix stuff I freaking love the game, I really do, but this kinda stuff, the performance and the UI being broken as hell constantly is annoying No maps and too many events are non-issues in comparison to all the bugs and performance
I just wish Crytek would treat their live service game like a live service game. More frequent patches would go a long way to retain players if the game wasnt left to rot in its state for weeks at a time. Any other dev would have disabled surefoot's speedboost until they could fix it asap. And that only speaks for times when the game is even playable. Ive been calling the dev team clowns for so long because they "fix" something and produce multiple new bugs but dont do a damn thing about the new ones for so long that they become features.
No wrong version was uploaded. All of this and more and even core cryengine issues were and is present before the update after the event. As much as the Devs love cryengine it's a shit show in the modern day. There are soo many issues that are known to happen with this engine that it's unbelievable that we are still using it... It takes all the joy away from playing the game. Can't load in, can't move, can't save squads or settings, CPU hugging, memory leaks, mouse gets stuck on screen, wrong texture utility when in 1080p mode, wrong textures when upscaling, vsync toggle is not even connected to hardware vsync, netcode time out limit too low and so on..... All of this was before the update for many, and now it's amplified :(
imma console player, i get 1-2 disconnects per evening on the beginning of the match, than i just reconnect and play and thats all... damn i love console gaming
I guess I'm impressed you were man enough to admit when you were wrong. We can be critical of crytek and still love the game. We can be pissed when we know they can do better and we can be disappointed when they prioritize skins over performance. It's possible to not praise something but still want it to do well. We aren't bitching just to hear ourselves bitch we want things to get better. Sadly there's a massive subsection of the hunt showdown community which has decided that any criticism any thing but absolute loyalty and support is evidence of toxicity. It's like the s*** from Avatar with the no war inside the walls. The emperor has no clothes people.
I felt it was my duty to admit it once I experienced it myself. My only defense for the performance was that I didn't have any of the issues anyone else had. But now I have so.. it's only right. The game has infinite potential but it's weird right now. There's just unnecessary issues.
Oh shit they fixed the console bug where filters are always on and all my skins and hunters are unavailable even though I paid hard cash for them? You mean they worked on the bugs where if I press the start button in order to go through a shit ton of screens just to reselect a skin I already did last match, but I have to hit rb just to be able to move my selection or pick items without their names and descriptions available? They fixed that? No....? Well I guess I wasn't expecting it anyway.
I am a console player. I play on xbox series s and i have no issues. The game is smooth, it loads fast and it doesn't crash often. I think they may have optimized the game towards console a bit more. The new UI is clearly designed for console as well. There is definitely more players on pc, so i hope they'll fix it for you guys because if the game die on PC then its definitely gonna die even harder on console and I still want to play! Hunt is easily my favorite FPS game and i used to be diehard fan of Halo. Two totally different game and Hunt surpasses it for me. I look forward to the new event to see how the players count holds up.. let's hope this time crytek will be irreproachable
Sure it was Hunt that crashed OBS and not Hunt and the 15 odd Chrome tabs you got open? which is about 7gb of RAM tied up right there in Chrome alone. Genuine question, no malice

Some that appear every time are: -Hotkey buttons working while in the search bar for weapons/equipment. example: when I search something with 'R' in it, the R hotkey get's pressed and messes everything up Solution: scroll through everything instead of searching. Which is obviously annoying. -I can't click the X from the search bar to remove what it's searching for until I have pressed on the search bar 3 times. 1. deactivating the search bar, 2. activating it, 3. entering it Some that happen often are: -I can't click anything after equipping a weapon or tool. Only way to get out of this is to enter the trait select screen and then go back to the lobby menu. -Overlaying menus. Like every menu I click on just opens, without the other one closing, so I have a mess of 5-6 menus overlaying each other. Solution: restart the game with alt F4 -No pop up and rewards for dark tribute or other quests until after a full next game -summary screen after the game popping up multiple times (highest was 5) And then there are some bad UI-decisions I would call bugs, but probably are intentional:| -The search word of the search bar staying when selecting a main weapon and then switching to the secondary. -Not being able to remove traits, if they aren't favorited and u are currently on favorite mode -The ability to favorite loadouts, with no use for it, since there is no way to sort them after favorites The thing is, while they technically aren't game braking bugs, after I had a bad match or two, I do will quit the game because I'm to annoyed to make me a new loadout in this mess. Which is kinda sad, because it means I'm playing less and less Hunt, only because I don't want to do the chore of equipping a new Hunter....

The crashing, poor performance, and disconnect issues that folks are having definitely are game breaking in my opinion. The graphical fidelity issues don't bother me as much, but they're definitely not enjoyable. I do enjoy being immersed in the world of Hunt, and having every texture breaking really takes me out of it. I understand if you've got enough love for the game to overlook these issues, I've been there before myself. Unfortunately for me I'm just not willing to play until it gets better. @ I get it more now, I’ve been vouching a lot for the game a lot and I dislike a lot of the neagative reviews, but maybe that is just cuz I can overlook it cuz of how much I love the game, but in turn it makes me sad that people like yourself and even eventually me maybe ditching hunt all together, o hope not, try and stick in there with me if u can man🖤 On i side note I really appreciate channels like yours and Rexnor and plenty of other channels that give thoughtful replies to the comments, makes us feel like we’re rlly a group, thanks brother god bless
I play Hunt near exclusively with my friends. I hate Ghost Face cause he doesn't fit, but I love hunt. I like Post (his music isn't for me but respect the guy), but any celebrity crossover doesn't fit, but I still love Hunt. The performance has been so bad and getting worse. I love Hunt, but I'm genuinely considering stepping away for awhile because the constant crashes and game killing bugs if it doesn't crash is getting beyond old at this point.
The Post Malone event will be a nice idea but it wont keep many new players I think. Solely due to the fact that every event has brought bugs and the UI is still buggy. My guess is that whoever has a say in the development plan of the game wont adress enough ressources to optimization and bug fixes. There is some level of incompetence going on sadly. Hunt has the potential to be a super popular game but its held back by unfortunate decisions?
I play on Playstation but me and my buddies couldn't stay in a lobby together last night either it would disband the party like it was doing to you, several bugs in the menus too when trying to set up a hunter. We also experienced a few crashes. It was annoying but at this point when theres new bugs we just refer to them as features lol 😂
@HuntersLodgeOfficial the issue of staying in the party together got taken care of pretty quick from what I can tell, we played a little yesterday and we weren't having the issue anymore. AND it was actually letting me equip my contraband items without giving me a hard time, maybe they did a hot fix or something 🤷♂️
Wait...So party disbanding is a bug? XD I HAVE IT EVERY SINGLE MATCH I'm serious. Not even funny. I'm not even talking about fps drop (permanent) Game's overall performance was way better before, but after the event my stable 120-130 fps changed to 80-100. HOW?! I rly hope that Pioneer and Beatiful Light both show up soon. Hunt NEEDS competitors. Otherwise we will have it like this forever, cuz Crytek knows that there is no game like that. That's what was motivating them since 2018 (as I heard), and that's what they are using against us nowadays.
I'll fry my PC with a game on purpuse and make a video on it to show à point. Absurd. Bro. I stream perfect quality playing hunt perfect quality 100 fps with a 1000 $ PC bought 3 years ago. And with multiple Windows open. This video is ridiculous.
With the issues you are having, i would seriously suggest reinstalling the game and or look into you system. Im not saying your pc is the issue. But i have not had any issues like you had and i am playing at 5120x1440p 120-144fps absolutely maxing out my 4070ti and barely using my cpu.
A solid minute or two before you mentioned it I was like "Did they just upload an old version or something?" And then you mentioned it. What sucks is I'm the positive one in my group of friends that plays this game pretty regularly, and even I'm kinda going "C'mon Hunt... Really?" One of my friends is all doom and gloom about Ghost Face and Post Malone and Hunt is turning into CoD and what-not. I'm not pleased with Ghost Face, and don't really care about Post Malone, but the game is still Hunt. Fingers crossed that they get this stuff together and fixed up before going forward. It REALLY needs it.
Crytek have heard our pleas loud and clear. Best they can do is an Olaf the Snowman DLC hunter (or some other shite that doesn't fit the game). Hunt will never die, not in the physical sense - but that thing that made it special is definitely on the ropes. What felt like a unique FPS run by a smaller passiate team now feels like a corporate shell of its former self. Our community voices issues, we get feedback which is welcomed but quite general at the same time. "We're working on this, we've adjusted that". How about tell us what the hell is going on with the bugs, why some of them are so tricky to fix yet are so prevalent. We hear all the time that the code is spaghettified but I can't point to a single other game this large that's this buggy. There is no vanilla hunt anymore which is what for many is the reason we started playing the game. Dying is much less of a problem with every consecutive event. Long ammo guns predominantly receive buffs cementing them as the meta. Special ammo was once a buff to the off meta guns and is now ubiquitous for all. Christ I could go on man, I feel like I could write a dissertation on this game alienating it's core playerbase. Me and my buddy sat down to do a couple of podcasts on it and just filled a few hours easily.

during the last event i was playing a duo against trios. my friend was using a bomblance and i was using a levering terminus. boss is banishing so i rush the compound and kill the bounty team. boss finishes banishing so my teammate and i pick up the bounty. we scan and we see a trio coming to us. im thinking lets bring it on while my teammates game decides to pull a pro gamer move and crashes right as the enemy trio gets ontop of us. they kill my teammate and then i VOIP. "welp im screwed. teammate crashes, im down a bar and you three roll up" the other team laughed and decided to let me live in exchange for looting the bodies. then another team rolls up so now its a trio trying to defend me from another trio as i wait for my teammate to reconnect. all the while the trio trying to defend me is using my teammates body as a tactical resupply while they try to reconnect. you know your game has issues when enemy players will take pity on other hunters for having game errors. they even offed to give us all the bounties on the map (real good people, after they said that i threatened to kill all of them if THEY didnt take all the bounties on the map for being good people) just goes to show you how the entire community is dealing with these issues to the point they feel pity on other hunters when it happens and its so common.
That's an incredible story that had me smiling ear to ear. Sorry about your friends game crashing, happy you met some absolute chads in the wild who met you halfway. Thanks for commenting!

I stopped playing when the "matchmaking" was pairing me and my duo who were casual 2 1/2 stars with trio gangs of 6+ stars. that, and when the cool cosmetics events would happen and new battle passes opened we saw hackers in 7/10 lobbies killing everyone on the map with a non scoped mosin or some other rifle, head shotting out of spawn. when we contacted one of the hackers and asked them why they hack, they said "because its easy, the devs dont care to ban any of us, and we make alot of money grinding accounts up and selling them." I actually respected that honest answer more than the developers.
Oh the cheaters are out of control, you get shot in the head through bushes over 100 meters with no scope rifes while moving. All profiles only have hunt and no other games or private.
Also fair take considering the state of last update. 2.1.1 had an embarrassing number of regressions. Majority are addressed in 2.2 releasing this week, but been a long stretch to put up with. Appreciate the support and the candor. Better days ahead.

Had a friend crash during a match just before the event ended. He had sealed cache bounty and we were chasing after main bounty team. They've been in a gunfight at compound and were just about to reach extract, he catches up to them and is just about to fire from a bush when the DC happens. Luckily they must have been out of seconds because if they checked dark sight they would have found him for sure and they must not have checked the map either. I decided to let them go because I was down my duo partner and there was still others skulking around. Bounty team escapes and then a Felis comes up on us from behind with a shotgun, luckily I was able to take her out with my Bomblance, missing the initial shot but getting her with the melee. My friend re-connects, I deny her necro revive and then we extract. Was still a fun match for me, but obviously players crashing during gunfights isn't a good thing for the game.
I've also noticed a really annoying bug with Dark Tribute that's been going on since the engine update where it just doesn't tell you what your reward is. It doesn't happen every time, but it's been over half the time from my experience.
For someone with 1000 hours and a strong love for the game I can deal with the bugs but I can’t imagine a new player putting up with the problems

Must agree , bugs and lags have turned solid 80% of random people i play on discord with to total salt bags . Luckily after a good search you can always find calm , funny and great people to play with . Latley i kinda get trigerred by Hunts dev team because they waste money on some bs ghostfaces and Malone interviews , witch is money that could be spent on server upgrades . But it is what it is and i love Hunt
i have about 100 hours in hunt and have started playing about two months ago. The state of the bugs, performance issues and server issues is by FAR the worst i have seen in any game. Some days you wouldn't notice them, but then one day i just crash two games in a row, fail to reconnect due to a bug, and just lose my hunter + 15 minutes of my life restarting the game and my PC. It's honestly "unacceptable" in my opinion for a game this big to have these many issues.
But here i am because this is one of the best games i've played. The gameplay and art is next level.

I found the pattern with the disbanding of the party. I had me and my buddies win a couple games and it didnt happen so i guess you just have to win and never lose.

Now that he played the game, he understand that he was wrong and said bullshit, yet still stand by 90% of what he said...
Hey wanna know the cool part? Literally every bug I listed was covered and fixed in a recent patch. Not kidding, you can go down the list and individually check off every single issue I had and it is listed in the patch notes. So that means the issues I was having were not only real, but fixed. I've played hunt since then and not had these issues again. I've spoken on this topic repeatedly in my videos following this.
For the record, If you're going to throw a nothing burger comment under my videos you could at least put in the slightest bit of effort to make it make sense. At the end of the day you can choose to not believe what I say. I ultimately have nothing to gain from lying to you all as a small channel made entirely for passion in my free time between work shifts and nothing else. I had no issues in the game, I took a break because I was very busy. I came back, I was suddenly having issues in the game, so I made a video about it. And lastly, David fifield himself commented and admitted that this patch referenced in this video was a major step back for the hunt team and they would fix it going forward. Great video, i do feel like a lot of these issues were still present even before the most recent update, me and a lot of the people that i play with nearly always experience issues with textures, invisible weapons, shitty performance, and reconnecting issues.
I personally have had an issue present since hunt 2.0's launch with reconnecting, when i leave during the in-game reconnect sequence, all of my hunt showdown files will corrupt and i have to reinstall the entire game.

These issues have been around for longer than a week, its been a downhill slide since 1896... Consider yourself lucky if you you've only been experiencing this recently. They game didn't just suddenly fall apart in 7 days.

Preformance in compounds on the new map is terrible, candle light and flairs can be seen trough buildings and terrain...

Not just since 1896. This has been happening for a long time now. Crytek just ignore a problem and hope it goes away and then can't figure out why people won't stick around. The game has barely changed, progression is much the same, the events are almost always some variation on the same thing, bugs have been around for years. Very odd balancing choices from custom ammo to people being paired against players much better than them, no change to cheating and camping, the list of little issues is a thousand word essay which just drives people away even if they love the aesthetic and the gunplay, which everyone does.
I’m a console player and I personally don’t run into any performance issues or really any major bugs. Except whenever I play with a specific friend, it’ll kick him out the party or won’t even let him join back from time to time. So we just reboot the game and beisdes the occasional invisible tools bug but then it reappears in the hunters hand after a couple seconds but nothing game breaking.

2:45 I think someone in the community noticed that CPU usage goes down significantly if you open the settings menu in the lobby. Not sure why this is the case.
Edit: you know, the theory of uploading an "older build" after an event ends might actually explain a lot. You might be onto something. I wonder if they have the "post-event" build ready to go near the start of an event so some of the fixes don't make it to the post-event builds.

Played a few matches earlier. Only bug i got was the party disband but that's easy to tolerate. Btw my specs are 5800x3D and 1080 ti, playing in 2k with high settings and fsr on quality. Fps rarely go under 70 and usually stay in the 80s, sometimes going to 100. Can also stream the game on discord fine without any noticeable fps drop

I wasn’t hot on the new direction they’re taking with Ghostface etc but that’s such a minor issue compared to just the game feeling fun to play. I don’t feel like I’m having fun anymore. I’m like hard stuck at high 6* ELO and every game is miserable. Nobody has fun. Nobody engages. It’s win by any costs. Yesterday I had like 4 crashes total and I just can’t be bothered anymore.
Balance-wise it's definitely been worse before. But the performance is the biggest issue right now. I hope it gets ironed out before the circus update.

The only issue I have had this week is rubber banding. I run a 13 series intel with a comp built to handle hunt. Do you think maybe their specs required aren’t enough? I send my friends don’t have nearly any of these issues. Strange how I see it being fine but then multiple people have this.

Well at least the company budget is being well spent on popular IP licensing like Ghost Face and Post Malone. There's no better way to spend the $100k+/IP instead of investing in better server tech and paying for more dev staff and/or a test server.

Hadn't played in a week 💀 didn't expect this.
Started playing back in 2022 for the first time. Recently came back for the Ghosts event. My buddy (who also came back) and I are addicted and Hunt is now one of my regular games, but damn it if the servers and spaghetti code don't try their best to get us to move on again. For now I'm having enough fun to tolerate the B.S., but this game will never grow with the fundamental performance issues it has - let alone get back the players it had at peak popularity.
Server stability and game performance need to be Crytek's top priority. Put everything else on hold and get it ironed out, or everything else eventually won't matter as the playerbase dwindles.
I'm happy to see more folks coming to the game. I myself am even taking a break right now until the next event. Hopefully they iron it out or the event will be a dud :/
Last hotfix added nothing but bugs for me. I didn't find any bugs fixed not even the mouse cursor bug. Can't stay in a group anymore and have to alt + f4 even more. And like you said performance got a huge hit. I can't even snipe anymore, on distance I only see washy ghosts walking around like what you get when the dlss is really bad, I tried turning the quality up but sadly it did nothing.
I really appreciate the humble response here mr. Horse. Sadly Hunt is in a terrible state right now, and its so sad because it is a fantastic game, any and all complaints I have come from a place of passion and love for the game and wanting it to be better, if it wasn't a great game I would srug and move on, but I don't want to, I want the hunt I knew and loved so much. The community is damn right to post the negative reviews and complain to crytek, if we don't, they will just let it fall further into the mire.. I am all for events and new content, but right now they are decorating a crumbling building when they should be fixing the foundations instead.
They need to ditch the fix it later in the next event mentality and start doing the hotfix (which I not seen any of that in the past 2 months)

It took me only 3 matches of having to rebuild the goddamn lobby with my friends every single time to give up on the game until they fix stuff

I just wish Crytek would treat their live service game like a live service game. More frequent patches would go a long way to retain players if the game wasnt left to rot in its state for weeks at a time.
Any other dev would have disabled surefoot's speedboost until they could fix it asap. And that only speaks for times when the game is even playable.
Ive been calling the dev team clowns for so long because they "fix" something and produce multiple new bugs but dont do a damn thing about the new ones for so long that they become features.

No wrong version was uploaded. All of this and more and even core cryengine issues were and is present before the update after the event.
As much as the Devs love cryengine it's a shit show in the modern day. There are soo many issues that are known to happen with this engine that it's unbelievable that we are still using it... It takes all the joy away from playing the game. Can't load in, can't move, can't save squads or settings, CPU hugging, memory leaks, mouse gets stuck on screen, wrong texture utility when in 1080p mode, wrong textures when upscaling, vsync toggle is not even connected to hardware vsync, netcode time out limit too low and so on..... All of this was before the update for many, and now it's amplified :(

I guess I'm impressed you were man enough to admit when you were wrong. We can be critical of crytek and still love the game. We can be pissed when we know they can do better and we can be disappointed when they prioritize skins over performance. It's possible to not praise something but still want it to do well. We aren't bitching just to hear ourselves bitch we want things to get better. Sadly there's a massive subsection of the hunt showdown community which has decided that any criticism any thing but absolute loyalty and support is evidence of toxicity. It's like the s*** from Avatar with the no war inside the walls. The emperor has no clothes people.

You mean they worked on the bugs where if I press the start button in order to go through a shit ton of screens just to reselect a skin I already did last match, but I have to hit rb just to be able to move my selection or pick items without their names and descriptions available? They fixed that? No....? Well I guess I wasn't expecting it anyway.

I am a console player. I play on xbox series s and i have no issues. The game is smooth, it loads fast and it doesn't crash often. I think they may have optimized the game towards console a bit more. The new UI is clearly designed for console as well. There is definitely more players on pc, so i hope they'll fix it for you guys because if the game die on PC then its definitely gonna die even harder on console and I still want to play! Hunt is easily my favorite FPS game and i used to be diehard fan of Halo. Two totally different game and Hunt surpasses it for me. I look forward to the new event to see how the players count holds up.. let's hope this time crytek will be irreproachable

Some that appear every time are:
-Hotkey buttons working while in the search bar for weapons/equipment. example: when I search something with 'R' in it, the R hotkey get's pressed and messes everything up
Solution: scroll through everything instead of searching. Which is obviously annoying.
-I can't click the X from the search bar to remove what it's searching for until I have pressed on the search bar 3 times. 1. deactivating the search bar, 2. activating it, 3. entering it
Some that happen often are:
-I can't click anything after equipping a weapon or tool. Only way to get out of this is to enter the trait select screen and then go back to the lobby menu.
-Overlaying menus. Like every menu I click on just opens, without the other one closing, so I have a mess of 5-6 menus overlaying each other. Solution: restart the game with alt F4
-No pop up and rewards for dark tribute or other quests until after a full next game
-summary screen after the game popping up multiple times (highest was 5)
And then there are some bad UI-decisions I would call bugs, but probably are intentional:|
-The search word of the search bar staying when selecting a main weapon and then switching to the secondary.
-Not being able to remove traits, if they aren't favorited and u are currently on favorite mode
-The ability to favorite loadouts, with no use for it, since there is no way to sort them after favorites
The thing is, while they technically aren't game braking bugs, after I had a bad match or two, I do will quit the game because I'm to annoyed to make me a new loadout in this mess. Which is kinda sad, because it means I'm playing less and less Hunt, only because I don't want to do the chore of equipping a new Hunter....

The crashing, poor performance, and disconnect issues that folks are having definitely are game breaking in my opinion. The graphical fidelity issues don't bother me as much, but they're definitely not enjoyable. I do enjoy being immersed in the world of Hunt, and having every texture breaking really takes me out of it. I understand if you've got enough love for the game to overlook these issues, I've been there before myself. Unfortunately for me I'm just not willing to play until it gets better. I play Hunt near exclusively with my friends. I hate Ghost Face cause he doesn't fit, but I love hunt. I like Post (his music isn't for me but respect the guy), but any celebrity crossover doesn't fit, but I still love Hunt. The performance has been so bad and getting worse. I love Hunt, but I'm genuinely considering stepping away for awhile because the constant crashes and game killing bugs if it doesn't crash is getting beyond old at this point.
The Post Malone event will be a nice idea but it wont keep many new players I think. Solely due to the fact that every event has brought bugs and the UI is still buggy.
My guess is that whoever has a say in the development plan of the game wont adress enough ressources to optimization and bug fixes. There is some level of incompetence going on sadly.
Hunt has the potential to be a super popular game but its held back by unfortunate decisions?
I play on Playstation but me and my buddies couldn't stay in a lobby together last night either it would disband the party like it was doing to you, several bugs in the menus too when trying to set up a hunter. We also experienced a few crashes. It was annoying but at this point when theres new bugs we just refer to them as features lol 😂

@HuntersLodgeOfficial the issue of staying in the party together got taken care of pretty quick from what I can tell, we played a little yesterday and we weren't having the issue anymore. AND it was actually letting me equip my contraband items without giving me a hard time, maybe they did a hot fix or something 🤷♂️

Game's overall performance was way better before, but after the event my stable 120-130 fps changed to 80-100. HOW?!
I rly hope that Pioneer and Beatiful Light both show up soon. Hunt NEEDS competitors. Otherwise we will have it like this forever, cuz Crytek knows that there is no game like that. That's what was motivating them since 2018 (as I heard), and that's what they are using against us nowadays.

With the issues you are having, i would seriously suggest reinstalling the game and or look into you system. Im not saying your pc is the issue. But i have not had any issues like you had and i am playing at 5120x1440p 120-144fps absolutely maxing out my 4070ti and barely using my cpu.
With you saying with hunt running your pc is locking up that sounds like your cpu is being taxed hard.

A solid minute or two before you mentioned it I was like "Did they just upload an old version or something?" And then you mentioned it.
What sucks is I'm the positive one in my group of friends that plays this game pretty regularly, and even I'm kinda going "C'mon Hunt... Really?" One of my friends is all doom and gloom about Ghost Face and Post Malone and Hunt is turning into CoD and what-not. I'm not pleased with Ghost Face, and don't really care about Post Malone, but the game is still Hunt.
Fingers crossed that they get this stuff together and fixed up before going forward. It REALLY needs it.
If they don't iron out these issues before the next event I'm really worried about the future of the game :/

Best they can do is an Olaf the Snowman DLC hunter (or some other shite that doesn't fit the game).
Hunt will never die, not in the physical sense - but that thing that made it special is definitely on the ropes. What felt like a unique FPS run by a smaller passiate team now feels like a corporate shell of its former self. Our community voices issues, we get feedback which is welcomed but quite general at the same time. "We're working on this, we've adjusted that". How about tell us what the hell is going on with the bugs, why some of them are so tricky to fix yet are so prevalent. We hear all the time that the code is spaghettified but I can't point to a single other game this large that's this buggy.
There is no vanilla hunt anymore which is what for many is the reason we started playing the game. Dying is much less of a problem with every consecutive event. Long ammo guns predominantly receive buffs cementing them as the meta. Special ammo was once a buff to the off meta guns and is now ubiquitous for all.
Christ I could go on man, I feel like I could write a dissertation on this game alienating it's core playerbase. Me and my buddy sat down to do a couple of podcasts on it and just filled a few hours easily.
