As someone who used Martini Henry ironside a lot before the update cuz it's budget friendly and hits like a truck I'm pretty used to slow velocity weapons I've got to say this gun is pretty fun to use.
It's just a different feeling when you have to lead your shots to land them and when you get that hit marker you know it fkin HURTS
havent used this gun yet, but i always use the springfield, so this gun might be a good option to use aswell ^^
Yeah I couldn't agree more. I've also used low velocity rifles in the game and it takes some time to get used to leading but exactly as you said, if the damage is high and you see the hit marker, they are running and healing.
Martin Henry retains good range damage, unlike 1865, because he has a large caliber.
@@g3etik The 1865 deals about the same damage as other long ammo guns, even at range thanks to that 145 damage
@@g3etik Don't be deceived. Medium ammo got buffed to start decay at 30 meters now instead of the old 20, and the 1865 deals base damage into the 140's. It's going to perform similarly for a lot of ranges to non-single shot long ammo rifles. Even before the range buff, it would still be pretty gnarly due to its high base damage. Plus it reloads fast and you can do the rinky-dink sillyness of skipping the animation of putting the spring back into the gun, though you definitely get bad revalue if you're only putting one or two bullets in since there is no way to skip, naturally, the spring removal animation. Also has a slower reload from empty than reloading from 0+1.
1865 Carbine is basically the Martini Henry Ironside with different use. Both weapons have high damage and good ammo capacity. 1865 Carbine has clean ironsights and more ammo at the cost of penetration and muzzle velocity, while the Martini has higher penetration and better muzzle for its sacrifice of ammo and view.
I have such a love hate relationship with this gun.

I'm used to play with low bullet speed guns like Sparks Silenced and Marathon with FMJ so I'm loving the Carabine 1865, it's made for close range I dont even try shooting over 60 meters.
Same but I run marathon with high velocity. Feels like a totally different gun.

It's like a cheaper Martini Ironside without a massive steel box blocking a third of your screen. Really good for mid-range skirmishes. I love it; I've been using it on fresh hunters as a dedicated PvP weapon, with a silenced Nagant to deal with mobs.

Fav gun for me at all ranges. I generally use slow bullet guns so it has a pretty normal feel for me.

It's like most medium ammo guns in the game. Has some plusses, a lot of minuses, but makes a great team weapon. Wouldn't rely on it as a solo.

Maybe im crazy but i love this gun. it's cheap, hits hard, has decent cycle time. i can line up the lead pretty well. and if i see a drilling/long ammo on someone i killed ill swap it out. but otherwise it's good.
This is one of my favor8te rifles of all time. It is a carbine so we might get a longer version since the one we got was for cavalry. Would be cool to have a harder hitting slower firing clunky Centennial that doesnt get levering. I like the sights though but it shines at mid range.
I like this rifle cuz I dont mind the slow muzzle. takes like a few games to get used to leading after that comes good. Glad you also said the real world name instead of the spector. I am sad there is not skin in the BP.. which is odd. But for me One gun doesn't save this new Update.. Crytek has a lot to fix and will add new ammo to this

@@danheskia3987 I think they should leave it as it is. Being the close quarter option gives it a niche to exist in. It's also not very trait reliant (maybe Iron Eye).

This gun is perfect for me. The cycling rate doesn’t bother me because when I shoot and miss I run like a lil’ biotch 😅 then when I do manage to land a shot I rush and win or die. Either way it’s cheap for my aggressive play style. One day I’ll be as good as Hornet! Granted it’ll be like 20 years from now, but I’ll get there 😂

@@squeezyjibbs6643 Oh yeah for sure! I’m a big fan of the Martini Ironside so this one sits well with me and I haven’t had any issues with it. Rolled up on two Duos last night fighting Hellborn. Thankfully he gives you a banish on death because I forgot medkits 😂

I think this gun is perfect for the tier I play (2-3 star) simply because everyone at this tier runs the most expensive gear possible (avtomats, auto-5s, nitros for some reason) and punishing them with this feels so good.
That MMR is also really good for this weapon, because most 2-3 Star Player dont peek for half a second but instead take some time so its easier to hit the slow bullet. Also they repeak the same spot over and over, so you dont even have to adjust to much. This allows for many Hits and if you can land these shots, this weapon becomes dangerous. Also a little plus for that mmr range, there are a big Part, that doesnt heal to full health everytime and most of them dont use something like regen shots 😂
I might have a slight intuitive sense for it, but is there solid data out there which we can use to know more concretely when a shot connecting is relying on your target standing in the same place you fired? The ironside was my go-to rifle for quite a while and in long range fights I could never quite get a sense if my hits and misses were entirely due to my aim or simply my opponent's bad positioning.

I still can't load into hunt after the update :( black screen and menu music. Tried all sorts of fixes with no results. Anyone got a solution?
try to see what Windows update you have, my friend's was too old and he had to reinstall it to play Hunt
did you download the new nvidia drivers for hunt?
Really sorry to hear that, i had some issues with Microsoft, discord and nivida overlays but they made my game crash pre update. Updating Windows and graphics drivers may help if turning off overlays didn't
Update your drivers and windows version. After that verify your steam files then restart your pc. After that launch the game and wait an hour ish to see if it’s just getting stuck on the boot screen
Steam overlay has also been giving people problems so try disabling that as well

I noticed you play at 0.65 sens and 800 dpi, i'm around 850 dpi and 0.95 sens, but my flicks seem to be affected by this. Did it take you long to get used to that low sensitivity?
my sens is around 42cm/360 its in the middle of the spectrum

It feels terrible as a solo player weapon, but really good as a support weapon in a team especially if your teammates are running shotguns or even spam weapons like the officer carbine

I just play in 4 star mmr but ive been making this work even out to 100-120m, if you lead your shots right its a monster, im used to FMJ velocity though
Yeah idk most fps games i play are games with bullet drop and i have unironically been killing people at like 150m semi consistently with officer carbine deadeye regular ammo as high vel got gutted and is now terrible not salty just mad. I most play in 6 star mmr sometimes dip to 5 when i play some meme combo

This is an interesting weapon to say the least, seems a balanced enough but I couldn’t make it work
Gun is strong af but even the velocity doesnt justify having sparks damage
I mean it's not only low muzzle velocity.
It's also much less penetration and less affective range, as it is medium ammo and not long.
Don't worry, Crytek will give it special ammo so that It has no meaningful drawback and joins the rest of the roster in bland mediocrity.
I just realize that it's a spencer not a sparks.
I love this gun. I play Hunt Showdown for clunky, shitty weapons that are a pain to use. Signe me up for more.
Do the sights feel misaligned to you? I find myself wondering where my bullets go with this gun all the time. I miss some very easy shots and I don't know why.

Not really. It has effective range up to 40-50m. It's not a shotgun in any way.
It more resembles a sidegrade to Martini-Henry Ironside.
@@squeezyjibbs6643 take any winfield / centennial / vetetrli and you'll still 2 tap in that range with a higher fire rate and a much higher muzzle velocity. It's only real purpose is close range bodyshots, which shotgun slugs outperform it in any way. It has no niche.

2 taps ANYWHERE. 2 shots to a leg - kill. 2 shots to an arm - kill. And all that up to about 40m, depending on where you hit.
Cenny/Veterli/Winfield suck ass when they hit arms or legs.

You also mentioned better firerate on other medium ammo guns.
Well guess what - the Carbine has almost identical firerate to the Centennial.
I can’t hit shit with this gun. the cycle time is so awkward in practice bc the moment I hear the actual lever I line up another shot and click before the hammer is pulled back in the animation and nothing happens. Shot opportunity is missed and the resulting potshot when I fire again out of frustration lands uselessly into a wall. It’s a skill issue but even the lebel doesn’t have this janky cycle animation despite being that kinda gun afaik

Hey could someone help me please;( I tried playing the game but me and my friend (who has a good pc) we have a problem with textures not loading in the game or loading extremely slowly, and its pretty annoying to play the game with roblox textures... even if i lower the graphism to the lowest its still the same problem, anyone has an idea ?

Yup, through the free battlepass progression. Level 15, which is pretty doable if you've been playing and have finished both weeks of Challenges released thus far.
