It has been 2 years since I built my first Voron 0 printer and since then a lot has changed. I recently completed my 3rd build which up until a couple of weeks ago was the latest V0.2 revision. In this video we take a look at how the Voron 0 has evolved and why I think this is a great time to build one. We also will take a dive into the Siboor V0.2 Kit has I used for the build. This is a more budget friendly kit that even includes the printed parts.

Daniel, Thank you so so much your nice video!!! ☺
Just want to clear here some details which viewers may want to know.
The BMG gear has been changed to CNC POM material, as mentioned in Greg's video.
The problem of the hot end, which used to be due to the heat sensitive fixed inside the ceramic, which would expand and cause damage when heated, has now been improved and fixed in the hole of the aluminum block.
There also has users want Dragon hotend HF version, we also offer that.
The price in the video is promotion price during 10th-18th June, buyers should know Aliexpress has promotion season every year twice. 😄
I'd not heard of Voron until your first V0 video. I now have 3. I blame you. 😉
Siboor have come a long way since their first kit review I watched. If they continue to improve their products as they have been they could be a top contender for kits
I finished my Siboor 0.2 3 weeks ago. Had no issues wit the kit other than the plastic standoffs and one bracked for door latch was missing. But other than that all went together smoothly. I didn't mind those pcb strips for securing rails, worked well for me. Got the toolhead LEDs in my kit but took me a while to find some info on how to fit and wire them. So far my little V0.2758 has been reliably spitting out parts for my VzBot build and now for Switchwire/Enderwire conversion. Love it.
Dude, you are awesome! Thank you for working with siboor and I on this project! ❤ looking forward to the trident build!!!
Glad to see the review coming out. Been following up on the VODs of the build every week and in general I feel this is a pretty good summary. Since I will build a Voron printer soon I think this is an amazing resource 😊
I Love the V0 based printer mods. They are very good stock but can get, in my opinion, so much better. Box Zero for the win on top hat problems. Tri Zero for bed leveling. And Sharkfin with anti squish mod for the extruder. Such a well done video ModBot!
You really go me wanting to do the Box Zero. I am thinking Dragon Burner with Klicky, Box Zero, CAN, Filter, 1-2 Aux, Kiragami, and belted z. Probably off stream though if I am going to make it happen.
@@ModBotArmy Do It, you'll love it!
@ModBotArmy a silent stream is something I would watch. Just a dual camera stream split would be cool.
DO IT!
@@ModBotArmyconvert one to a Pandora’s box!!! I love building mine so far. So many better design choices than the V0
Glad someone voiced issues with the mini afterburner. I had mine crack and eventually catastrophically fail during a print. Had to replace it with the mini stealthburner and it's so much better.
Coming from the FPV world I never understood why more electronics suppliers don't include wiring diagrams. It could solve so much troubles
There are too many options. Kits for a specific printer could include one. In FPV, board manufacturers can include one because we are all doing the same thing: a receiver that has the same wiring as crossfire, and a vtx that either has the regular analog wiring with smart audio, or DJI wiring.
I build beginning this year their 2.4 kit. I can confirm Siboors super support.
Awesome video, thank you! I've just completed my 0.2 too, although with formbot kit. The addition of pre-crimped cables andumbilical PCB was a huge deal!
Would you do a vidoe on your favourite mods and upgrades?
Woohoo! Congrats on completing your build. I have quite a few mod plans in the coming month or so here. Once they are complete I will likely do a video showing off the printer and can also include a few other mods that I think are great. :)
@@ModBotArmy A Voron build already is an individual (by the choice of the parts or the kit itself) and in some extend expensive 3D printer.
Maybe you could include into the next video (about the mods) how it comes that your modding a printer that is already self build?! Because all the changes could also already be included in the building itself or the choice of the kit, couldn't they? So how come modding is "necessary" like with stock printer like an Ender 3 although this one is already self build?
Is there a way to avoid that? Are there newest and "most optimized" kits out there?
Looking forward to your take on the Trident kit - I've been eyeing that kit off :)
I cannot wait!! I took a first glance at the parts and they look sweet. The purple frame is almost like a purple chrome.
I am still struggling with the choice. Why a Trident? Isn't a Voron 2 an improved trident?
So why go with a Trident with a 300x300 build plate?
@@hassosigbjoernson5738 2.4 r2 is "better" in terms of max speeds, customizability, etc. But also more complex build that increases cost. That's the short story of it.
@@hassosigbjoernson5738Voron 2.4 is a different printer and wasn’t meant to be an “upgrade” to trident… tridents are different kinematics and offer a lot more ease of doing things you cannot do with a 2.4. For example the Tridex The 2.4 has a Z setup that would make an IDEX impossible. Plus, the Salad Fork (printers for ants version of Trident) has been growing in popularity too. As the Voron team will tell you, 2.4 is a “name” not a representation of versioning.
@mod
I opted to get a 0.1 kit because they were on clearance for $240. I also so 0.2 kits go on sale for around $300 not long after. These don’t come with printed parts or a pi however.
Just ordered mine based on your vid and review. I will be doing a dragon burner toolhead but would love your recommendation on the hotend to use. Thanks!
Once I finish two other printer kits (LOL), Siboor V0 is on my list to build. I'm interested in your future video on their Trident. Wish they offered a smaller size. I need something in the 250 or less build volume range, preferably Micron or Salad Fork. :)
LMAO you sound like me. I am going to do a couple of builds off stream so I can sort of power through them. Stream builds almost always take 2 months with only one stream a week. Very much looking forward to the Trident. I also think a 250mm version would be sweet. I am happy to relay that info back to them since you are maybe the 2nd or third person to mention that size. I know you can get the Micron+ at 180mm which looks like a great printer :)
@@ModBotArmymaybe build them off stream and just post some update pictures to the community tab.
Damn I didn't even think about putting a bambu hotend in a voron, I have a P1P maybe I oughta use its extra hotend.
Nice build, definitely surprised me that you have built the 3rd one... My printers already started to conquer my little room...
Very nice!
Are the Nema 14 motors sufficiently strong or do they skip steps? What's the current setting for X/Y?
I've been on the fence about going with this kit or self-sourcing and doing a Tri-Zero + BoxZero from scratch instead of modding a kit
I might have to invest in one for rapid small part prototyping for my nerf blasters. Been meaning to build a voron for a while
I LOVE your channel! So cool to see you here in the "wild" as it were haha
Hi! I want to build one by myself, but my current printer cannot print ABS. Is PETG suitable for all the parts?
Not really related to this video but i saw your Zero G video and that you have a Zero G themed bed on orca slicer and was curious where you got it?
From the Zero G discord! There should be a thread pinned but if you cant find it ping TurtleCrawler and he will get you sorted :)
Hell yeah
How did you get the Accelerometer working with the mainboard?
Here before it blows up ❤
I really like to toy with the idea of building a voron or a rat rig... but being almost the cost of a Bambu printer seems ridiculous to me... unless I were to build a 400mm+ machine...
Hey thanks for the shout-out!
Heck yeah! Thank you for all that you do for this hobby. Seriously 🙌.
I would love to see a edited version of your build streams maybe 30min to an hour. Doesnt need any voice over just a rought cut of the live stream
Thanks for the feedback. Currently, I do not record livestreams locally so I would have to start doing that and figure out what parts would make the cut. For now I do my best to summarize the streams in my edited videos but I will keep this in mind :)
Great vid!! Glad to see the improvements from your perspective!! I am glad to see things heading in the right direction.
Thanks man! I was super excited to see what comes on the CNC version you got in. This kit is really getting polished. 😊
@@ModBotArmy The metal parts were impressive! I've heard those kits with the parts are selling well. I kind of want to swap mine out to try.. :) BTW, thanks for the shoutout too!
Sir. I recently bought a v minion i didn't know how to send the file via wifi (g code) to the 3d printer.. Can someone help me .. I tried with usb on raspberry but it do nothing.
This is doing absoultey nothing to help my lust for one of these kits. It would definitely make a nice sidekick to my Merc One!
Is there an upgrade path? would be interested in seeing one updated to a .2
Oh yeah! From 0.1 to 0.2 there are kits to upgrade. From 0.1 there are much more changes. It can be done but you would need to source quite a few things. There are also lots of side project mods for this that could be done.
It's klipper and the software that is worrying me with getting a v2.4 so much so I'm looking at a creality k1 😢
What are the physical dimensions of the siboor?
Where is the best place to buy it but in orange?
For my first 3D printer I jumped straight to Prusa MK4.. So I’m learning backwards 🤣
Can you do a video on self sourcing for half the cost?
Cool
Vzbot kit when?
*clap*
Nice build, Id recommend next time the fans die, buy the GDStime Dual Ball Bearing, not the cheaper brushless/sleaved bearing units, the difference is like night and day.
alot quieter?
@@Mr.Thermistor7228 No, more air flow, and last way longer, noise does not come into the equation, probably the Sunon Maglev would be a better choice for lower noise, performance is similar to GDStime but they cost a little more.
There is absolutely no content on Siboor Voron 2.4 out there. They have now some very cheap options for 2.4 and I'd really love to get one - but no one covered it yet
Rushmere 3D did a couple videos on the Siboor 2.4 kit.
@@toddzino58 yeah but only hours long streams if that is the guy I think of. But for some reasone only v0.1 and 0.2 are covered on more than one channel. There is content potential for the 2.4 kit I think. I am realy curious about different opinions as I am eyeing the kit
@@HuntersOA I bought one in MAy. Haven't started it yet. Gathering some Mods and printing parts (Rama Idlers and Pin Mods.) Not sure if I want to do TAP (they included the TAP kit for free) right away. Also going with a Rapido hot end, not the dragon HF.
@@HuntersOA he did a 40 minute summary, which is really good.
For the price of that small kit printer you can get a bambu p1p printer assembled.
It's too bad the kit is the price it is.
But the Voron 0 is better..?
P1P is proprietary, closed source, with some unacceptable realities IMO. If company goes under, you're done. Also, it costs $699 plus $35 shipping, whereas the Siboor 0.2 kit is $469 shipped. Not exactly equal in pricing by a long shot. If you can't handle assembly, get the Bambu or buy a Prusa.
I wish they had a voron at ~180mm
You may want to look into the Micron+ 😊
Printer for Ants Salad Fork sorry that was 160. Micron!!!!
@@ModBotArmythat's a great idea 😉
I have the same kit but with all metal parts - and it is awesome. My only complain so far - completely broken accelerometer sockets, I simply can't make adxl345 work there not matter what (but this is not really a Siboor issue but Mellow, their products quite crappy, undocumented and unsupported, typical chinese quality)
Hi guys! I have a potential client for anyone who can print in CF Nylon, or something with similar strength. I posted in a Facebook group but haven't heard back. Just trying to help this guy out. He needs a part printed for his Jeep, but I don't have that capability yet. Any assistance or pointing me in the right direction would be great. Sorry for interrupting!
