I was out there last weekend. Got skunked on walleye and hybrids. But I wasn’t using live bait.

I texted the game warden just to ask what kind of striper he knew of pulled out of there and he didn’t know inches but said 25-30#. I’m still amazed that such a small lake can raise that kind of fish.

@@BooneBoys they stock it from time to time. They don't reproduce in there or are not supposed to anyway. Not enough shoreline or river to reproduce. That fish is probably 10 years old or more.

That is a huge striper!!! I haven't ever seen one that big caught in a lake. They have them in the lower Illinois river. Way cool!

Nice striped bass for inland, but if you guys are releasing those fish, you don't want to hold them out of the water that long, especially when you have 93 degree temperatures that fish is lucky if it survives i know i have fished for striped bass all my life and have 4 over 60 pounds to my credit i use to do the same thing until I learned that when it gets warm and they have a long fight yoy have to act quickly to get those fish back into the water even then 40 percent don't make it these days unless I'm keeping them every fish stays in the water or if I take a puc it's out for seconds. Not to rain on your parade, but the handling of these big girls is very important so that you can continue to catch more and bigger ones.
