Most people don't understand... It hasn't even been 100 years yet since india got it's independence... Not to mention that there were MANY PROBLEMS to solve after independence which the British specifically left for us as a 'farewell gift' but even so we have solved many of those problems and after all that NOW we are going towards developement... Remember that we're only one step into the technological world and yet india has made such an impact in small amount of time... In few decades the whole world will see the results.
Yes agreed it's not been a long long time getting independence but u shouldn't deny the fact that it could have been more developed till now for example u can South Korea it got independence later than us but it's a developed country now
@@Kohlify-18vk dude, are you serious? India has SHIT lot of population.. It can't be compared to korea, not to mention India is a secular country... There simply is no comparison
Korea has a small land mass with a small population. India has a huge population they have to fight through forgot to mention india has major cities that they have to settle. The British left India poor. And india fixed many problems that the weird British has done.
This is pretty much the story of countries like India, Nigeria, Kenya etc..Hollywood depicts only the negative. If you actualy visit the countries the experience is quite eye-opening.

As an indian I Agree. Like India Nigerian Economy is growing well but western media only shows poverty and slums from these countries. They even think of china as a poor country lol
You are wrong dude, some south east asian countries like Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia etc and some south American countries come close to India when economy is considered. When research/technology is considered, India is even better than those countries. South Asian countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh are better than Nigeria, and India is much better than Pakistan and Bangladesh at present. You cannot compare Nigeria and India, it's like comparing India to China or USA. India is very different country, visit all 28 states then you'll reach at conclusion. what happens 50 km away from my house I don't know... As far as economy is concerned, India is low income country with 65% population directly depend on agriculture. while urban areas look good excluding places where migrants live. Thus, India is way better than Kenya/Nigeria just like south Africa is better than India.
Most people including current generation of Indians forget that up until early 90's India used to be like current day cuba due to extreme socialism. there used to be a two three year waitlist to get a telephone landline connection same with goods like cars and scooters due to "license raj", companies were banned by law to produce more than govt allotted quota of goods, which in turn created a heavy demand supply mismatch. from there to being a global leader in fintech, automobile , pharma manufacturing is quite an achievement for a continent sized democracy like India. all this happened in just thirty years.
@@kanekiken2002 India is a continent sized country in terms of size and population, and India was under US sanctions since 1998 up until recently due to nuclear tests, there was a ban on critical technology transfer from the west.

Well done. Just one fact - some people call former chief minister of West Bengal as the father of Bangalore. why? : When IT companies approached him to build IT hub in Kolkata, he refused that proposal. Because he was communist and supporter of unions, who saw computer as threat to their jobs.
The left destroyed Kolkata, if the left didn't come to Kolkata then it would have been the most developed city in India, Tata, Birla, JK, Thapar, Mallya, Goenka, Jindal all had ther hq in Kolkata the city had everything back then needed to be a world class city, Bombay was know for the entairtainmen industry and Delh as political capital. And even after all this we still have people who are hard core supporters of the left. Look at kerala today, industries are leaving the state and its surviving on gulf money and tourism. On other hand look at Maharashtra and Gujarat its growing so fast.
BTW Payment gateways are far more efficient and secure in India than the west... And the gateways that you are using in your country are just monopolies trying to cash in on you!
The Indian government just gave the UPI backend to PayTM as a gift, so get ready for a government backed private monopoly to start robbing you too! Also... "PhonePe and Google Pay account for over 80% of UPI transactions done each month."... One is owned by Google and the other Walmart, so those transaction fees go straight out of India. By the way Europe has a far superior system to UPI based on NFC and your phone can run out of battery it still works, it's over a decade old now.
It was so nice and insightful talking to you Caya. India truly is chaotically organized. That's what makes it special. I can't wait to see where our country will be in the next decade.

The inequality you talked about is imo just a phase India is going through. There was a time when the considerable population of India was poor. You can't lift such a large number of ppl out of poverty immediately. That is happening slowly and I think this inequality of income will surely reduce in the coming days.
Unfortunately that is not happening, the rich keep getting richer and the poor poorer. And added to this is also the caste inequality which makes the matter even worse.

CEOs of Google, Mastercard, Twitter, Microsoft, Pepsi, Chanel, Adobe, IBM, Micron, Arista, Only fans etc etc. 36% of NASA scientists are Indians. 40% of specialized doctors in UK and US are Indians. We have our problems like everywhere else. But I think some things are not talked enough.
India also produces highest number of unemployable engineers as well. Most of these engineers were pushed into the degree because of money or parents. They don’t have the skills or the interest. I find it incredibly unfair that people in the West complain about location-specific pay when they are totally fine with underpaying similarly talented people in countries like India. $4.000/month would get you a 1/4 of an employee in America yet they are trying to squeeze him into an even lower salary.
4000$/month is really a higher salary range in case for india which is roughly 3Lakh INR/month ,,most of freshers get annual salary of 4k$ for them to reach ,each employee is billed at the rate from US 9$/hour to upto 40$(if skilled) but the Indian companies still under pays below that,, for someone to reach ,4k$ /month is great feat and it takes minimum of 10+ years if high skilled techie or a manager
@@dhineshkumars1991 india does have high packages for skilled people, a person with 3 year experience can also get 38 lakh package but problem is it won't be $4k per month instead of salary it is a package which includes everything else and only ends up paying $1-2k per month, companies in u.s don't talk in packages, they declare the base pay beforehand.

Thanks for showing the positive side of the country!! Even as a fellow citizen we are so focused on the negative around us. But watching this video made us realized how far we had come.
Pretty good and accurate video. Just a correction. Biggest startup hubs and cities with best jobs are Bangalore, followed by Delhi NCR (mostly Gurgaon) and Mumbai. 80%+ funding and unicorns are from these 3 places. Other cities are a different tier.
I mean, I understand those 3 are where the cool stuff is happening, but the tiers he mentioned are as per the government's classification. There are 8 tier 1 cities in India.
@hemanth Have covered the full picture. So by tiers i did not mean population wise at all. I meant by quality of jobs. Bangalore, delhi ncr and mumbai are the top 3 in the quality of jobs available, and even the quantity if high paying jobs. Sure chennai is big on saas, and i respect that believe me i do. But look at other areas too. Doesn't compete with the top 3 still
Watching this from a wework in Bangalore. So happy to see mention of word "Jugaad" caries the vibe the video needed. India is full of hope optimism and potential. waiting for the next video in this series.

The thing with India is that its real strength lies in its diversity. Language, food, culture, dress we have so many varieties that it's wrong to show India as this one homogenous country. But despite all the differences, what binds us is this sense of oneness and responsibility towards the country. Flaws exist, like any other country, but we have tons of potential across the country. So the next time you wanna explore about India, remember you're gonna get more than one variety 💜
Amazing video! This was a huge eye opener to me. And the production quality is through the roof here, as always. I'd love to see more of these videos from you 👏
Thank you for bringing this into light. Foreign news media often portrays India as this poverty ridden country but they never talk about the number of unicorns that come out of India or how we have adopted to the digitisation culture a lot better than most countries. I agree, we have poverty to an extent, but that is not India as a whole.
I understand the sentiment but 50 percent of india population dont have access to clean drinking water at their home. India solely contributes to 25% to illetracy rate throughtout the world. A country’s image is made out how majority of population lives in that country. Yes the number of people live in tier 1 cities is a very high number but they are just quarter of total population. Hence the image of poor India, despite being home to unicorns, mnc and successful service sectors ( formal and informal )
@@dashmeetsingh9679 I agree with you, what I meant was that as much as we have poverty, literacy, and other problems, it doesn't hurt to acknowledge the points that make our nation so well known around the world. It doesn't necessarily have to be about the tech world itself, the history that our country has, the culture and diverse traditions that people follow. I would not call myself a true patriot but it just doesn't feel right when most of the western population base their opinions of the country based on what is projected via news media and certain movies like slum dog millionaire and lion. I totally agree with you, the country's image is based on the majority of the population, that being said, I've seen that the opinions of the country have changed from what it was about 5 to 6 years ago.

Still it's slower in comparison to what East Asians did in similar amount of time.

Well done. Just one fact - some people call former chief minister of West Bengal as the father of Bangalore. why? : When IT companies approached him to build IT hub in Kolkata, he refused that proposal. Because he was communist and supporter of unions, who saw computer as threat to their jobs.
Thank god our CM wasn't stupid enough to do that and it's because of it today Bangalore has become the economic backbone of our state.

The inequality you talked about is imo just a phase India is going through. There was a time when the considerable population of India was poor. UKs biggest employer is TATA which is an Indian company is also the Europe's employer of the year. CEOs of Google, Mastercard, Twitter, Microsoft, Pepsi, Chanel, Adobe, IBM, Micron, Arista, Only fans etc etc. 36% of NASA scientists are Indians. 40% of specialized doctors in UK and US are Indians.
ISRO - Indian space research organization is the second most successful space organization after NASA with successful missions at quarter of its budget. india produces fastest supersonic missile of the world and is currently producing its own fighter jets, helicopters and drones. 2nd biggest army in terms of service personal and 4th biggest in terms of military budget. 3rd best airforce.

Thank you for bringing this into light. Foreign news media often portrays India as this poverty ridden country but they never talk about the number of unicorns that come out of India or how we have adopted to the digitisation culture a lot better than most countries. I understand the sentiment but
50 percent of india population dont have access to clean drinking water at their home.

I am using Zoho everyday and customer service is really quick and excellent. From Myanmar.
Best documentary about the current Indian economical divide I've seen to date.
Kudos to you.
If i go to US and make videos only about the homeless problem there for years ..certainly everyone who watches my video will think United States is a poor place. Same with western perception of INDIA.
Loved the video! Really shows the world the other end of the large spectrum of circumstances that Indians live in.
Would like to point out one though - India is not a young country, we a not an upcoming nation, historically. We have such a vast history and Indian civilisation has been around millenia. We have a huge population because of the fact we are an ancient country that was flourishing much before the West had even started to grow. We're not a developed country because of the colonisation by Western nations that robbed our country.
Not to put anyone down here, but it's important to note.
p.s. - Shoutout to Namma Bengaluru! All the footage of the Cubbon Park Public Library and Four Seasons had me grinning :)
❤️
I am from a teir 3 or 4 city, i am prepairing for JEE an high school engineering exam which will get me to IIT (Indian institute of tech.) And eventually to a good earning IT engineer, and the fact that i consume foreign content everyday, watch creators from US and europe, understand each bit of it, share english reels to my friends of a "tier 4" city just shows that in this world of internet no one is backward and not everyone is knowleged when living in a tier 1 city.
One of the best content I saw about my country. Perfectly edited, beautiful shots. Absolutely amazing.
The whole video sums to what we, as Indians, have been hearing for long and failed to understand fully yet, 'UNITY IN DIVERSITY' !!
10:40 you aren't allowed to shoot videos cause we Indians have faced a lot of terrorists attacks and especially where the bombs are planted in railway station. Many people will be present there so bombers place it and when there are tpo many people , they all die. So these footages might help the bomber to plan without actually visiting the station
Uhh have you never heard of google maps? I don't think terrorists are waiting for some dude on youtube to make a video about a station lol 😂
@@PublicDomain_US that’s not why video recording isn’t allowed. Also it’s not the same rule at most railway stations. It’s pretty normal to use normal phone camera. They might not allow documentary crew without permission at peak hours.
@@Kathakathan11 did you even read the comment I was replying to?
Can't wait to visit India this year 🥰🥰
Hope you have a great trip! 🛩
India is developing. There's still problems, but who doesnt have them? Hell, even I can't recognize my town from 10 years ago :)
Just 30seconds in and the editing is phenomenal! Very refreshing compared to most other channels. Props to the editor!!
Thanks Brother for visiting my City Bangalore. Hope you loved the hospitality.
