    Love your setup. I’m looking to install a Minn Kota Terrova Riptide 36V 60” shaft 112lb thrust rolling motor on my 2022 210FSH. Looks like you used the factory mounting bracket with the Minn Kota quick release mounting bracket installed on top. Can you tell me how you went about doing that and have you had any issues with that setup?

      @Ggordon3321  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I love the boat! I had the dealer mount the trolling motor bracket and drill the hole for the power connection. I pulled wires down the port side and through the engine compartment to the starboard hatch in front of the live well. Mine’s 24 volt and holds me offshore in swells and big wind without issue. Some people said the shorter shaft would come out of the water in big swells, but I haven’t had that problem.

    Great video, I really appreciate this video. Liked and subscribed.
    I will post several questions.
    Where did you find the keel guard? Is it glued or how is it fastened?

      No problem at all Magnus. I LOVE this boat! Here’s the info on the keel guard from Amazon Megaware - Self-Adhesive DIY Keel Guard for Fiberglass and Aluminum Boats - Protects from Rocks and Oyster Beds - 9 Kit Sizes - 5 Inches Wide (12 Assorted Colors) a.co/d/j6xYmCh

    I want to put a radar on my FSH210. Been looking for ideas on the mount. Did you just run the bolts throw the canvas top? Great idea of the 3/4" plastic

    • @Ggordon3321
      @Ggordon3321  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are holes in the canvas top for the radar mount bolts and wiring, but no holes in the canvas for the bolts through the t-top frame holding the starboard plastic. The radar mount “sandwich” the canvas down, so there/s no leaking or flopping around.

    The spot / anchor hold control seem to be a very nice feature. I thought that was only possible on larger boats with twin saildrives and some nice expensive Volvo Penta feature. Need to look into this. I got big swells, how well does it do in the ocean?

    • @Ggordon3321
      @Ggordon3321  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will hold position ALL DAY off shore. I have a few videos on my channel fishing at the oil rigs in the Gulf. It will hold in swells until they are too large to comfortably fish!

      @@Ggordon3321 OK, that sounds great. My place is pretty wavy, I usually have waves from 1.4 to 2.2 meters, I guess that is like 5-8 feet. Sometimes it is much worse but this is generally where it is near. So you have dual batteries for yours?

    • @Ggordon3321
      @Ggordon3321  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@magnusb6311 yes, it’s 24 volt (2-12 volt batteries). Get the long shaft if your swells are that large so it stays in the water.

    You mentioned mph, I think it is a weird future of Yamaha, but anyhow, can you set it to show speed in Knots and distance in nautical miles?

      Yes, you can change the units.

    Any issues with your trolling motor mount and damage to the gel coat? How many holes did you have to drill into the boat to install?

    • @Ggordon3321
      @Ggordon3321  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I had the dealer mount the trolling motor bracket (I think 4-6 screw holes), and I made the hole for the power connector. TH-cam had some good videos on how to use a hole saw backwards at first and how to protect the gelcoat. No cracks in gelcoat yet.

    Im thinking about making that trip to Bimini next year in my 210 FSH. How much gas did you use during the trip? Did you take extra with you,?

      Long story short… my wife broke her finger 2 days before the crossing and we couldn’t get on plane (was hurting her) in the rough seas crossing over so used a bit more fuel. Took an extra 15 gallons (there & back). Refueled about 10 gallons during a ‘pee break’ crossing over. Used less than 1/2 a tank total on the way back to Florida because the seas were totally flat.

    Dang it , forgot to ask what trailer guides post you are using?

    • @Ggordon3321
      @Ggordon3321  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I installed the 75” C.E. Smith guide on posts. I added the post pads and the red/amber post caps. Really helps in the wind, but I always forget about the trolling motor & bump the left post putting on & off.

    Did you use the Yamaha factory trolling motor mount? How well does it track being off center?

    • @Ggordon3321
      @Ggordon3321  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I used the factory mount. It tracks well, but I installed the “thrust vectors” on the stern and you really need to keep the steering wheel centered for best tracking. The spot lock anchor mode is my favorite feature and I haven’t thrown an anchor since I installed it.

    Can you fit this in a garage

    • @Ggordon3321
      @Ggordon3321  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      NO, lol… I have a tall indoor storage bay that I keep her in. The T-top is designed to come in half to permit garage storage but with the radar it would be too much trouble to disassemble.
