Great review, looking forward to more. I’m very interested in making this my next boat and have a couple questions. I’m curious how the boat would do trolling with downriggers. If a person was to use a bow trolling motor for steering, can you troll at 2.0-2.5 mph with one motor, no sock? How does it handle rough chop with no way to trim the boat? Do you think trim tabs are needed to keep the bow down in rough water? Could you show where your transducer is mounted and how the jet wash affects the image quality at neutral throttle. Sorry for all the questions, but where I live this is not a common boat, so a test drive is not feasible for me for testing. Thank you for putting the time in to review this boat. Subscribed

      Appreciate it.
I just put trolling motor on and had an opportunity to spend a few days out with it. So far works great.
Not sure about downriggers. I will be putting out another video in about a week or so. Rough water seems to be good. I did have a little porpoising one time but it’s not something I experience often.
Overall the learning curve with jets is pretty easy. About a week or so on the water docking is becoming easier as well as retrieving boat onto trailer.
The biggest thing I hate about the boat is the jet noise. Other than that. So far love the boat. Especially a wide open transom to fish and play.
Good luck with your decision. It’s a tough one.

Install closed-cell foam sheets in the engine compartment to kill the noise, make sure to not block the air intake. The 3 cylinder Yamahas run faster than the 1800s, so yes they are louder, but give great fuel economy. Yamaha products are fantastic, enjoy your boat.

Pair of Yamaha 1.8L SVHO 4 cylinder engines would make this boat a standout performer.

Thank you for sharing this. I hope you have gotten to use the boat regularly enough to answer some questions. I am curious about the fuel economy. Also curious about the pulling power. We have BIG skiers that need BIG pull to get up out of the water. We would be using here in stumpville on freshwater, and down at the coast. Looking to consolidate a 10 person runabout that has a lot of power for skiers and plenty of seating for cruising and our bass boat that is just to scary with now that we have grandkids. Will likely do the cruising in the pontoon and fish and ski with this. Thank you.

Thank you for your great review of your new Boat. I am interested in this boat but wish to store it in our garage. Is there a quick way I can lower the tower or at least half the tower in order to get it in the garage. I have 105" inches of height clearance. I know this boat has at least 123" of height . Thanks for your reply.

The front storage compartment doesn't drain because of how the hose is routed. Dealer couldn't figure it out but its an easy fix. I just had to loosen and turn where the small black drain tees into the larger drain in engine compartment. Making sure the hose has fall the entire way. Works perfectly now. I love mine.

Thanks for the thorough review. I'm looking for my first boat and need a good combination of family friendly and good for inland fishing. Do you have to clean out the motors after getting it out of the salt water? Thanks again.

I have the same issue with the drain on my 2019 FSH 210 Sport. Not sure what's causing the problem. I've taken compressed air and was able to clear it but it tends to continue to back up. I also thought the noise was a bit much so I think I may try to add another layer of insulation in the compartment. Thanks for the video!

If for some reason I find out why it’s not draining I will comment again. Kind of frustrating. I even shortened the drain hose for a direct route out and still doesn’t drain.
I did add some more sounds deadening material around back hatches. Seemed to help a little but no where near a current outboard.
Best of luck with your boat. Happy 2020.

@@blainemills987 I appreciate it. I will do the same. One other thing to keep an eye on is the drain hose connections on cup holders. I have found a few of them have disconnected. I ended up changing out the hose clamps. Great to have additional FSH owners out there. I appreciate your videos. I need to start posting videos on the boat myself as I've done all the installs and oil changes etc...myself. Congrats on the new boat!!

Thanks for watching and commenting. I’ve since sold it but I’m sure it’s doing well. I sold for a 23 ft center console outboard boat.
Couldn’t take the jets anymore sucking up grass. Drove me crazy.
Nice boat but didn’t work for my style of fishing.

I thought I would never consider a yamaha jet boat, but the family aspect is making me take a second look. How does she handle around the dock? I would be concerned about the loss of steerage under idle power. Also do you know the length on trailer?

Been looking at the FSH models.
    2 things I haven't seen are:
    1. Drains at each side of the stern area, to drain the deck of sea/lake water.
    2. Can the engines be washed out with fresh water, and where is that hook up, if it has fresh water flushing?
Thanks in advance for your help and response.

I’ve since sold the boat but you can flush the engines. The rear hatch opens to flush each engine. And I think there was one drain in center. Which doesn’t make sense but I’m no engineer.
It just didn’t suit for me style of fishing. I couldn’t take the jets sucking up grass all the time. Hope this helps

I actually had a trolling motor on it but fishing in south Florida with the sargassum grass is nearly impossible with a jet.

the seat cushion when you move it back and forth does not seem sturdy at all.... flimsy almost one side moves before the other. BUT it might be different in person

@@blainemills987 That is why they sewed those loop straps on both sides of the helm seat back. You are supposed to use those to swing it forward or aft. We just bought the 195FSH Sport and we love it.

Hi Thanks for watching and commenting. I’ve since sold the boat but you can take the tower off for storage. It takes about 30 minutes and I wouldn’t recommend doing it more than maybe once a year for winter storage. You have to unbolt it in two pieces.

We boat down in Key Largo on the Atlantic and bay side. We don’t have to go out far to be in good fishing. ( 5 miles ).
We have been out 10 miles with the boat.
It’s more dry than I anticipated. Pretty happy with the ride.
When it’s too rough it’s just not fun anyway.
I was out the other day in a friends deep V 23 ft pro line. It was definitely better riding but not by miles. I am impressed with the ride of the boat overall.
Just not to happy with Jet noise. :(
      Great layout though.

Yes they make a bracket to install a power pole.
We looked at Nautic Star as well as the Carolina Skiff 21 ultra.
My personal dream boat when kids are grown will probably be the Grady white 232 Gulfstream or similar.
Wife is just sold on the no prop with how much the kids like to play.
So far pretty happy with how boat does on some good chop.

Actually better than I thought it would.
I was a little concerned about how it would handle some good chop in the ocean. ( Florida Keys ) but I am pleased so far.
For a 21 foot boat and not real tall freeboard I think it does well.
