I’ve had a ton of luck with Iden red. It’s fairly budget friendly too, since there’s no Vader or Boba. My only change has been replacing Gideon Hask with Seventh Sister. It allows you to keep pressure on the base while safely damaging enemy units, and makes it easier to take them out with cards like open fire, takedown, or even a shot with Tarkintown if you haven’t used it yet.
Liked the video, going to hopefully be giving Iden a run next week against our Boba players. Going to also look and see if i have the Thrawn deck also. If i dont i am pretty damn close. Suggestion would be some links to your decks on like SWUDB. Would make it easier to look and build them if they work real well.
RE: Thrawn. While I do like playing entrenched on an enemy to stop their base attacks, Boba usually plays overwhelming barrage and that can really come back to haunt you with a 9 damage boba leader lol. Otherwise interesting strategy for thrawn.
Yeah, could suck, but you were eventually going to wipe the whole board with super laser blast and start chaining Avengers or other big value stuff they can't deal with anymore. It's early game denial just to get you to that point.
What about Force Lightning in the Vader deck? it is a clean answer to Superlaser tech with Vader and when you have a Force unit out it also helps with all the other Units that have when defeated abilities like K2SO or the Raider
A few reasons really! Most simply because I like him as a character, another reason is his ability lets you drag the game out a bit longer, a lot of your cards cost a bit more and allow you to exhaust something each turn, and lastly as I already had another Iden deck in the video.
Boba Fett and Darth Vader units do WAY too much for their cost. If cards start to get restricted, those are going to be first on the list for a fact! LOL I just can't believe how cheap Boba is for a 3/5, it's just nonsense... and how much Vader does... he's bad enough without bring up to 3 units with him LOL
Such a poorly play tested game lol so many of us that got spoilers wArned them it was ssj3 goku issues all over again which literally stalled dbs card game for a year... They really did a bad job for a launch with grammar and balance . Yikes!
@@jccouture13 Indeed. Top 8 decks of six mentioned tournaments in the last 3 weeks (including the TTS tournaments that have been going on prior to release) all have villain green w/ mix of yellow... I understand if you don't follow other TCGs, but this is a very well known problem in three games when your play-testers are just content creators and not formally contracted testers that sign an NDA to help keep collusion and poor crafting of card development from occuring
@@DarBowsong I hope so. It's not a bad take if this has been a well-documented issue being brought up constantly over TTS testing and prior release. Issues like this killed dragonball super competitive play for hundreds of shops... six of my locals refused to carry it when SSJ3 goku in to Shenron decks just ran away the game into a very boring meta for almost 2 years. It's never good when you use content creators to play-test rather than professionals with grammar knowledge, and competitive showings. This happens. One colour dominates with a bleed of another, and other decks after hundreds of games from TTS to local play are still unable to break it because there are too many easy ways to adjust against "Rogue" count metas. Fun game, but an obviously poor method of testing and writing interactions. The clarifications page is already half the size of DBS, and that game is already a few years old. Just hope they correct course before next release which is already pushed back another month along with intentional slow release of product to build that FOMO

Feel like krenic control goes into it quite well, but its an uphill struggle no matter what you use.

Really cool video...iden for me is the best answer to green boba fett...count dooku is amazing...try to build the best version.

Very good idea. I hadn't thought of that, prevent their ramp.
You basically never have a force unit out when they have the DJ on board, especially since a lot of Boba players will ECL it
@@DarBowsong you don't need a Force Unit out, you blank the game text and then kill it with the leader ability and you can play around d ECL
