I can relate so much to you man... apparently I am OCD too. I overthink EVERYTHING, my wife makes fun of me on how an oil change and rotate tires takes me about 2 hours because I triple check everything I do. Really like your approach of making videos. I look at this truck and really like it but I think I can never own one just because I think how long it will take me to just wash it, its gigantic!!!!
Not sure if GM disabled the AFM system on these 6.2L's on the Escalades. But my buddy has a brand new Yukon Denali with the 6.2, and the valve train went out at 15K miles, blew the engine on a road trip. I read that the 6.2's are notorious for this. And being direct injected, change that oil and do it often. Every 3-5K miles. These vehicle manufacturers went direct injection on a lot of engines now days, which take a ton of additional maintenance.
yeah my plan is changing every 5K but the DFM is here still and annoying lol I never drive out of L9 mode though this way it stays in V8 mode the whole time until range tech comes out with the DFM disabler they are currently working on I just hope it’s soon lol
2023 ESV here. So for new vehicles I’ve been told, after 500 or so miles you want to change the oil. There can be additional particulate that can come from new engine parts. At what point/mileage did you decide it was broken in?
for this oil change I did 1600 miles but just about every one of my last vehicles it’s been 1000-1500 to get fresh oil in and a new filter then I go on a 4-5K interval
The ONLY person that is suppose to own a vehicle like this is a person with money to burn. You darn near have to drop the motor in these mega size gas guzzlers in order to do simple maintenance. I am a female and can change my own oil, plugs, and wires, along with simple stuff like windshield washer fluid and brake fluid. A vehicle like this Cadillac is ridiculous when it comes down to maintenance. And they will NOT last a long time before you have paid for the car all over in maintenance.
So ultra platinum is dexos approved?
Great job!!!

haha the washing of this is for sure more of a process lol it’s fun to spray a ton of foam on it though so there’s that at least lol

I’m too poor to burn money so I have to change the oil myself unfortunately lol
