Man, you have 10 years of great stuff to catch up on. He's brilliant.
so curious to know what you think about how he has turned out. i think he might be the greatest youtuber of all time
Oh my gosh, I know it's like many years away, but I am stoked for a Vsauce movie. I bet it'd be very possible to get it into theaters.
You can really see their respect for him in this. Michael really started my love for science by watching his videos and I’d give a lot to talk with him about anything
As someone who has a family history and had second hand experiences with dementia, it absolutely terrifies me. They just forget, and then never remember. They become a husk of their former self, slowly but surely forgetting everything they once knew and loved. I had gotten a nightmare over a decade ago, that still sticks with me to this day. It is a fear that I will never escape. It is absolutely impossible to escape it, because I might possibly have already experienced its effects hundreds of times. I just suddenly forget what I'm doing while I'm in the process of doing it. I'll think of what to say or write, and then poof. What I wanted to say never existed, only a feeling and the before and after of it.
listening to this podcast at 29 and William's joke of "all the 30-year-old's listening to this who have nothing figured out are panicking rn" hits way too close to home
I’d love to see a thought emporium video cuz of the sheer amount of different types of content he creates, I think it could be a very interesting talking point for all of you guys.
He is likely very busy with his spider silk thing , I fear he has no need for TH-cam and only is even still bothering from a touch of appreciation and a need for a break to do something else... I'm going to stop there , I do know he hates people making assumptions about his life...
But yeah, I would watch if he was on the show
Mona Lisa: It's small so it's easy to steal. It's one of the most famous paintings ever made so there is plenty of motivation. And museums have poor security.
This is great. Love how y’all are somber in vsauces presence
I feel like this is just a peak episode for youtubers, the realm of thought being explored across the whole of it is refreshing
Eating is simply philosophy
MORE SAFETY THIRD LESSSSSGOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Where?
More go, not less
BatChest
Lmao nft pfp
Ew. Nft
It felt like Michael was excited to talk TH-cam craft with the boys and I enjoyed that
This is an absolutely amazing collaboration!!!!
Or is it???
*Vsauce music starts playing*
I went on Wikipedia from "Nile red" to "philosophy": Nile red -> methanol -> chemical compound -> atom -> Louis de Broglie -> Aristrocracy (class) -> Ancient Greece -> Aristotle -> Philosopher -> Philosophy!!
Loved this episode, especially the three attempted endings lol
1:20:30 oh Vsauce made a sauce alright - I still remember the Filthy Frank video
He is so profound I love this guy wish I could have a convo with him
You can!! PayPal me money and I'll get you in zoom call with him!!!! Yes yes yes yes yes daddy likes
I met him backstage at a Brain Candy event. My wife got me the deluxe package that included a meet and greet with him and Adam Savage. Both are icons to me.
@@Real28 I did too it was amazing
Moon Men is great, but "Were Finally Landing" makes me astral project from my physical form when I hear it
Those “mom found something” commercials, those make me think it’s a scam
I'm loving all the questions being pondered in this ep like the psychology behind vertical video, and how songs can invite a questioning mindset. Great stuff
As a plant biologist 1:02:48 has me screaming
It’s like that meme of Walter White trapped in the car
“Hank! It’s chloroplast, not chlorophyll! HAAAANK!”
i love how michael is such an interesting guest that when will tries to wrap the podcast up after about an hour it still takes another 15 minutes for the podcast to end because they go on a tangent about corn
~1/4 of the video is William closing the podcast lmao
I think it’s disgusting how every single thing I absolutely love about the internet is in this podcast
Watching y'all's body language sync up over the video was absolutely fascinating.
one of the funny things about newtons laws vs stationary action is that with newtons laws you specify the initial position and velocity and evolve forward from there with F=ma, whereas with action you specify the initial and final locations in spacetime and find the right path which connects those two
This episode was amazing, such a great discussion!
Man, I love Michael. It's so awesome to see him in a long-form video like this.
this is such a beautiful video, i cried a bit every 20 mins or so. micheal is a very loving character and i loved seeing you guys coming together. just want to say thank you for making this and sharing it with us
my god thats probably the best video on youtube in the most unexpcted way.
I wachet it a year ago and now and carried comletly different new thing each time.
It is so all over the place that you can't keep up to grasp everything and you just forgeting it.
Fells like like a mental indigestion.
thats not vsauce thats corndogwilly
59:30 I think Michael is thinking about the word "ingestible" although even that is pretty vague since both things that need to pass through and not do anything and stuff like medicines which actually get into your bloodstream bloodstream are both ingestible
I didn't even know nilered and will had a podcast! Just found this today. Binging the rest this week. Nice!
I tried getting from chocolate to philosophy by clicking the firs links in the wikipedia pages, and it took this path:
-chocolate
-cocoa bean
-fermentation
-metabolism
-life
-matter
-classical physics
-physics
-natural science
-branches of science
-science
-scientific method
-empirical evidence
-proposition
-philosophy of language
-analytic philosophy
-phylosophy
Isnt there some weird wikipedia phenomenon similar to this? But instead of landing on philosophy its how many clicks to the third Reich or some wild stuff from a seemingly mundane topic.
I have a feeling vsauce is one discord away from being an internet cult
