since i already have the single fan 1070 (i used to run dual fan 470 initially in the metis), this would be an ideal case for me. turns out that overclocking isn't so important to me, so ditching the aio on my ryzen wouldn't be a problem and all i would need to get would be low powered flex psu and low profile cpu cooler.

What was your GPU wattage consumption during testing? I’m super curious about actual power draw of these 2070 mini cards.

I will definitely consider this case for my next built!! Maybe be able to stick a SATA SSD above the GPU??

I built something similar years ago in a Silverstone SG05-LITE case not much bigger (10.8 liters) for just $40 (doesn't require a riser cable, and can be used on its side with some feet to allow air to the gfx card). Used a 500w 80Plus Gold Silverstone SFX-L PSU, and a it fits a full-sized gfx card - mine is actually 2.5 slot and still fits, and it's got such a beefy 2-fan cooler that the fans almost never come on and are quiet when they do. Used an AIO water loop instead of trying to fit an air cooler in and the rad just sits at the front drawn in air that help cool other components even as it dissipates the CPU heat. Single fan gfx cards are going to be noisier, as will a smaller fan on a standard CPU cooler instead of a large one on a radiator (which will also probably not need to run as fast).

I'm building something similar now, also 4l. Also swapped the little fan to noctua and it's quite as it can be :)

I’ve been eyeing this case for a few weeks now. Hoping to use it for my next build. Also hoping to use the upcoming Gigabyte 2070 Super mini, though I’ll probably swap the fan with a Noctua because I’m sure it’ll be a jet engine. I’ll also swap the PSU fan probably with the Delta AFB0412HB-F00 (the Noctua 40x10mm fan has almost 1/4 the static pressure of it). I may also clip the unneeded cables and heat shrink the ends. I’ll also need to use the Enhance 600W Plat PSU because it’s one of the few with more than just an 8-pin plug for GPU power.

Mr. Optimum, What are your thoughts for this unit paired with a Ryzen option? 3600 on an ITX? See any reason it wouldn't work from your personal perspective? Thank you kindly.

How could I build this for myself? Is there a shopping list I could get please? I wouldn't mind an external battery if it keeps the noise down, please, I am really clueless.

1U PSU are meant to be used mostly inside servers, this is why they are pretty noisy, but as you said if you replace the FAN with a Noctua you will be just fine.
And btw, this is one of the most impressive like/dislike ratio I've ever seen [1.1K/6 atm], congratulations, you are doing a relly good job ;)
