This place is on my dream destination list! I had no idea that it was discovered in 2015 - I assumed that people had known about it for longer, but I have read quite a bit about it on travel blogs and such. Thanks for sharing your journey - it's so gorgeous!
It was only recently discovered. Prior to 10 years ago it was covered with ice. It is an absolutely breath-taking experience. I hope you get there soon! Enjoy!
What a view! Though I hadn't realized how high that mountain and hike was. I usually start feeling the altitude from 9,000 ft so acclimatization would be rough. This hike is a great example that an early rise is so worth it! (even if you don't feel it at the early morning hours!)
For sure, you will have to explore South America! We were traveling in Peru (and vlogging) for two months, and we fell in love with the amazing country! Check out our other Peru vlogs, as well as subscribing to our channel if you haven't 😛
Hey guys! In this video one of our subscribers saw that you were walking alongside a stray dog we took in over a month ago! He now goes by the name Mr. Potatohead. We decided to feature that in our video and gave your channel credit. Hope that’s ok and you even get some subscribers from it. Keep on traveling ✊🏻
I'm here because I love mr. Potato head. Great job guys. Now i follow both chanels. I feel completely happy you let people know about my country, Perú. Thank you so much. ♥️🇵🇪
AWWW what a cute story! Yes, those two pups (one of them was Mr. Potatohead) followed us around a few times, including that early morning! They were so sweet and loveable - glad that he found a great family to stay with. So what's next? Would you take him home back to Cali? Glad to contribute our short clips to your story!
Andrea - thank you so much! We love Peru - we spend two months traveling around the country, and would love to go back to do the rest! One of my dream destinations in Peru is Iquitos, and we didn't even close to touch the Amazon while we were in Peru. Next time! Check out our other videos from Peru - we have TONS of them in our channel ♥️🇵🇪

AWESOME VIDEO! I've been binging all of your Peru videos!! I am not sure if you remember us, my husband and I met you guys on the train back from Machu Picchu. We loved Rainbow Mountain and turns out we had the same tour guide as you guys. Wishing you a blessed and Happy New Year!
Hey Damaris, of course we remember you two! It was a pleasure to have the short interaction on the train - hope you did make it safely back that night!. Thanks for following us, and for reaching out - it is always a pleasure to hear back from the awesome peeps that we met along the way. Happy New Year to you too, and Isaac!
Thanks for posting this. I’m planning my trip to Peru in November and was wondering what’s the best location to plan Rainbow Mountain from. Can you tell me one thing though - are drones allowed up there? What was the wind like, once you got to the top? And what month did you visit? Thanks in advance for your help 😊
Hi Smriti, Did you do the Trip in November if yes, how was the weather in Peru. Did you hit a lot of showers or rain? Was Machu Pichu visible or hidden in mist and clouds? Trying ti figure out whats the best time to go.
November can be a good time to visit Rainbow Mountain in Peru, as it's technically the beginning of the rainy season. However, keep in mind that weather can be unpredictable in the mountains, and rain or snow can still occur. The best advice is to be prepared for changing weather conditions, wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and check the local weather forecast before you go. The views are stunning, and with proper planning, you can have a memorable experience regardless of the season. Enjoy your trip to Rainbow Mountain! 🌈🏔️
if you really want the benefits of coca... you make a strong tea [1 part leaf + 3 parts water] that has been lightly simmered and left to steep for 20+ minutes, with a bit of accelerator or panela/sugar. Or you can just chew the leaf with accelerator on the way/during.
Right, is it possible to do that trip to rainbow mountain by bicycles. Since I have the both the sailboat and bicycles it would be perfect. Pisco probably would become the home port for that trip. Now it is just to find the time...
Hum, that's a very good question, Paul. We didn't see any bicycle up in the mountain, however, I highly doubt that you would be able to do that, even though there's no rule regarding bike ban. The path is too narrow, and with hundreds of hikers around you (and horses), and not to mention, the high elevation. It is a struggle to even walk, and I can't imagine riding a bike up. But again, you could be the first one-

We have in Islam what refers to these mountains in Surat Al-Fitr in order to search for the trut
I've heard. Although the Peruvian rainbow mountain wasn't discovered till just recently.
@@theRTWguys so what's your opinion
Did you know this was mentioned in the holy koran about 1400 years ago??

So you should visit Peru
It’s my pleasure bro 🌹
I went there and I was riding on the horses and it was horrible
Horrible experience due to the elevation, or horrible for the horses have to carry people around?
Why was it a horrid experience?
God told us in quran

Nice 🙂
One guy says 5,000 feet, the other says 5,000 meters.
Definitely some 5,000 meters - or 17,000 feet
