Peru is easily one of the most beautiful places in the world. My wife is Peruvian and we go there often. Im always amazed by the beauty. Also home to the best food in the world.
I agree that Peru is 😂beautiful . Stayed for 3 month . Food is debatable, we could not find a great meal. Coming from Germany nothing matches German food.
@@EvelinHolmes To be Honest Id been at Germany, Bautzen, Berlin... and the local food was quite tasteless, quite limited and lack of creativity. To be honest for any Latinoamerican, traveller almost all local food from Europe will be like that, with the exception of Spain, Italy and France... Germany is not even close to be part of that small list. You guys have too limited tastes in food to build a good gastronomy. You are good in other fields... but gastronomy is not for you.
@@juanjoserivasgarcia2336 you have to live in the more west German part and Bavaria. Excellent food there. Unfortunately Berlin last a lot of the German culture do to many people from migrated from Turkey . It’s so mixed now.
My reasoning for saying I was not impressed with the Peruvian local food as it is advertise as simply there best.
We visited for 3 months so we had plenty of food experiences . The best food we had was on the train ride from Puno to Manchu Picchu.
I am not it was bad but I would not say it was the best.
I am not fancy food eater was it was not what I had hoped.

@@EvelinHolmes To be honest each time I find German people I noticed they always tríed to eat only food closer to the one they eat every day. (“I don’t eat fish, I don’t like spicyness, I don’t eat creams, etc etc” Peru has the récord of number of tradicional recipes around the world. Just main distes are 493, soups are 2500, add desserrs, add drinks, you have more that 3400 tradicional recipes, so to be honest not even peruvians know all their food. To be honest again , I didnt even find good products at germany, the quality of something like even a simple fruit was really disappointing, and the culture seems quite nice but homogeneous trough all the country, not too much difference in territories and climates, so ence is pretty understandable why a culture expresión like gastronomy is so límited. My impression after 1 Month and 1 week visiting the country , was to live at Germany means to eat almost all the time tha same products again and again for lífe, hinestly to any Latin American , even the most limited ones, that is kinda sad from a Gastronomy point of view. You know were the germany food Taste better ? At Peru they have a couple of towns, at the middle of the jungle : POZUZO and OXAPAMPA, there the culture between Germany, Austria and Peru mixed in something quite fresh and tastier.
There is a proverb that only those who are willing to climb high mountains can see the most beautiful scenery.
That is true! The scenery there is magnificent.
I really admire you for being willing to climb the mountain for two hours and fifty minutes to shoot such incredible videos.

I really enjoyed Peru when I got to visit for 2 1/2 weeks back in 2021. It was amazing visiting Machu Piccu with almost no tourists due to strict Covid protocols. Hiking in Peru is hard though due to the high elevation. I recently returned from a vacation in Argentina and followed some of yours and Carol's itinerary in El Calafate and Ushuaia - so thank you for your vlogs covering those areas. I really love South America now having visited Peru, Chile and Argentina in the past 3 years. There is just so much to see and do and its affordable thanks to the USA dollar exchange rate. I will be visiting Rio for Carnivale in February for the first time and will make sure to review all your vlogs for Rio. I hope you and Carol keep on exploring all over South America and the world. I only get 5 weeks of vacation time each year, so I rely on your vlogs on helping me decide where I vacation at.
That’s great that your are exploring South America. We felt that we needed to see more in Ushuaia but we ran out of time. How was the hike to Fitz Roy? The last part of it killed us haha

I'm so glad you decided to stay in Ollantaytambo. I hope you also make it to Pisac for the market. Hands down, my wife and I think this is your best series to date, and we've seen all of yours. Thanks for the ride! Have you considered going up to tour the rich cultural and archeological region around and on Lake Titicaca area? The Incas got many of their architecture, roads and empire management ideas from the Tiwanaku culture that was centered there. Plus, there's no other place on earth like it.

In QUECHUA:
APU: god / goddest
INTI PUNKU: sun gate (bc the gate is aligned with the sun, it passes through it exactly in the middleat a certain time)
you guys missed an archaeological remains very close to the town of ollantaytambo, Raqay.
Perolniyoc is a waterfall and is close to another archaeological site in the mountains, Raqaypata, you should return :) and better if it is during the festivities of the patron Chokequillca, and There are other types of AIRBNB's to stay.
A short distance from Ollantaytambo is Huaypo lake, a beautiful place to picnic, watch birds and enjoy nature.
You can go on quad bike or on foot.

I hope you will go to Cordillera Blanca in the north and if you want to see one of the most beautiful mountains in the world go and see Alpamayo the north face is stunning l was there when the Sendero Luminoso were at their height so the area was almost void of foreigners.

Excellent video. I have always seen the graineries from a distance, but never up close. Thank you for taking us up there! On the Inca Trail there is also a Sun Gate, but this one was different, right? Inti means sun, and the sun was like a god, therefore lots of places with inti.
