THANK YOU, A+K, for your commentary (15:43) about the importance of trying local culture and cuisine rather than turning up our noses at something that might be a bit out of our comfort zone. Tried cuy while visiting back in 2012. Also, eating with your hands is GREAT!
This video was so well made! The transitions, music, and commentary were so smooth and beautifully done. Always love watching your videos and getting new travel ideas, thank you and great job!
My husband & I are hoping to go to Peru in Nov 2025, so I really appreciate your series. We will be on a tour, but I expect to view your videos again particularly to identify eateries when meals are not hosted.
This is my favorite episode you've ever made. I've wanted to go to Peru for a long time and I'm so glad I got to see Cisco through your eyes. Also, I'm homeschooling my 5th grade grandson and Maya, Aztec and Inca cultures are in his curriculum so I got to show him this video to bring what he's studying to life. Looking forward to Machu Pichu!!
We were in Peru about 6 years ago and enjoyed it very much. Cusco was great. I cannot emphasize enough how well those big stones (some larger than a full size SUV) fit together. There literally is no space in between stones, and like A+K said, you can't even slip a piece of paper between. The salt pans at Maras were awesome, and Machu Picchu was the absolute best.
The stonework by the Inca is pretty mind blowing! Maras will be in our next video with some other stops in the Sacred Valley and a Machu Picchu video is coming soon as well
Just arrived home today after visiting Cusco for the last 4 days. Awesome city. We stayed a block off the main plaza and could walk (with a lot of huffing and puffing) to see so many things nearby.
Great series! I lived in Ecuador for 20 years. There are many similarities in the culture and food. We ate plenty of Cuy when we lived in Riobamba. It's actually delicious when prepared properly and eaten while hot. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
We didn't mind the cuy! Not sure if we'd have it again, but it wasn't bad at all. Ecuador is definitely on our list to visit. Thanks and thanks for watching!
awesome country been there 7 times. cusco is my favorite city in peru i just love the streets and buildings.Arequipa is the most organized city imo. i hoe yall go to monumental callao its neat.
Ha. Thought I recognized you both!! Watched you when I was planning Hawaii and here you are helping me plan Peru! Your videos are both enjoyable and informative. Cheers from the UK❤
That rock slide looked like fun. It's good you spent plenty of time in Cusco to acclimate to the altitude; i think that's a problem with many of the tours to Machu Picchu. Respect for trying the cuy and llama .
One thing that i noticed is how clean the streets are, even the markets, polished floors and everything, all the buildings in very nice conditions, congrats to the city, when you think south america you immediately think: slums and unsafe dirty streets (i'm brazilian)
I just want to say, that the your personality of both and the rocking quality of your videos are equally amazing guys. And obviously I am peruvian and enjoy your joy being in Peru. Greetings to Walter White and Saul Goodman 😅
Yahoo, A & K on Sunday, to brighten my day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yahoo a sponsor, well done! Thank you for sharing the world with us. Presently working, working, working, .............blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Cusco was beautiful…I love the flower pots hanging on the walls of the buildings! Those stones making the walls were amazing and it blows my mind what people were able to build years ago! The slide looked awesome! The outfit on the guinea pig was cute but creeped me out a bit! 😂 Thanks for sharing another great destination and culture with all of us! ❤️
I've been watching your videos for years and am still watching. I guess I travel vicariously through you. Great video here. We have Mexico and Sao Paulo on our travel list for this upcoming year. But Lord have mercy how I want to get to Cusco and Macchu Picchu. (Arequipa looks cool, too, but I can't hope y'all were able to make that trip.)
We try not to turn up our noses at different foods, but cuy was one thing we could not bring ourselves to try as we have had several pet guinea pigs over the years.
Yes! I would say it’s the best country in South America for tourist so many different things to do. My fathers from Callao Peru la perla I went for the first time a couple months ago such a beautiful city with the best food.
When you didn’t feature guinea pig in the last foodie video, I thought whew! Close call. But then I watch this one. Man, you're braver souls than I am! Hard pass from me, BUT I'm enjoying this latest trip anyway! 😊
I was hoping you'd go to Machu Pichu, but I thought that was too much to hope for. I'm so happy! P.s. It's okay to pronounce sacsayhuaman as "sexy woman". That's actually correct.
Yes we were. The weather is always a gamble, especially in a shoulder month. Nothing seemed super crowded either. If we went again, we'd go right after the rainy season (May) so things would be more green
Do you have problems with gluten when eating in foreign countries. My wife was diagnosed with ms and she controls it through diet which means no gluten
Apparently the wheat used is different in other countries. So Kathryn doesn't have as many issues. It's also been several years since she's had a sensitivity test and we're not 100% sure it's gluten that is the culprit anyway
@ my wife was diagnosed with MS back in 08 and went on the anti inflammatory diet which included gluten. She is on no medications for ms and the biggest difference came after she gave up gluten so we avoid it like the plague.
Awesome video! Cusco is the most fansitating and mysterious city. Adam did an excellent job with the pronunciation of Sacsayhuaman, that’s not easy. The catacombs were very creepy under that church as well as in Lima. The high altitude does get to you and it seemed like everyone had oxygen tanks around. My wife did get altitude sickness and we had to go to a hospital for treatment and they only charged us $12. But I did one better on the way there. I tried one of the liquid yogurts (it was lucuma) before we went on the plane and as I boarded the plane I got really, really sick. One of the flight attendants noticed me and notified the pilot who stopped the plane right on the tarmac so I could get off to a waiting ambulance. There was a Dr. there who spoke English and gave me this little brown pill and with just a couple of hours I was completely fine. We were able to resume the same flight the next day with NO yogart beforehand. I do want to go back to Cusco again someday!
Cusco is a very fascinating city! We loved the history and architecture. Sorry to hear about you and your wife's ailments! Glad you were able to get help.
The sample pack is so you can try all of the flavors to see which ones you like the best😃. They also offer a no questions asked refund policy Thanks and thanks for watching!

I (Adam) can get by in daily conversation usually, but we did struggle a bit on this trip! We both need to get more comfortable so we can lose our "deer in headlights" looks 😂
Peru es un país diverso hay comida vegana y restaurantes especialmente para gente vegana, es más cuando vas a cualquier restaurante puedes pedir algo vegano y ellos te lo preparan
Peru has a variety of foods and all are delicious andd naturallll not artificial. If you are a vegetarian also you can find many vegetarian restaurants.

I love cuy. Like you said, nice and crispy.
Awesome video, loved the rock climbing, have not seen that in other videos. Enjoy your travels and stay safe!!!!!
Thank you!
Can't wait for MP.

Just arrived home today after visiting Cusco for the last 4 days. Awesome city. We stayed a block off the main plaza and could walk (with a lot of huffing and puffing) to see so many things nearby.
Cusco is so awesome, right?! Staying next to the plaza would be a lot of fun. Tons to do!

Totally understandable. We're like that with bugs
Hello from Lima. Peru is actually one of the safest countries in Latin America. The homicide rate per 100,000 people during 2023 was 3.2.
Y eso a pesar que los caribeños están dejando su aporte, los demás países son morideros al lado nuestro.
Good to know! We felt very safe in the city
Yes! I would say it’s the best country in South America for tourist so many different things to do. My fathers from Callao Peru la perla I went for the first time a couple months ago such a beautiful city with the best food.

Hey! Thank you! ❤

What month did you visit Cusco and Machu Picchu ?
September/October
Great video!! How did you guys get to the sites?
Thank you! Cusco is very walkable, we walked everywhere besides the airport. Most people take a taxi or Uber to Sacsayhuaman, but we enjoyed the hike!
awesome

Oh no! We were nervous to step on the grass for that reason!
Guinea PIG (pork)..crackle!!
why would I make a purchase to get a free sample pack? I want to sample it before I decide to make a purchase(LMNT)??? PS love your videos ;)

I could have done without the guinea pig. 😮
Yes, that is disgusting, but hell all they seem to eat is pigs!😂
What is disgusting to one, is a traditional and nourishing food to another.
@@AdventuresofAplusK Yes, but I don't watch it for entertainment. 😎
