    Thanks for the vid! I just bought a Donner Basement. It'll be here tomorrow. I bought it because it was cheap (although the price has gone up since you posted this lol). I'm pretty excited to try it. I would've picked up the Vox but shipping would've taken 8 days longer.
    Anyway, thanks again!

    Thank you for taking your time out to review this product I am a new guitarist who lives in a one bedroom apartment with my sister. While she may enjoy my piano playing, (been playing since I was 8) I am sure she and the neighbors are so not ready to go through the process of me learning another instrument (thin walls). It is good to know that this product will be good for me to practice with (and keep me in my current living situation.) And thanks to you, I know that I didn't waste my money. Thanks again I wish you all the best.

      Thanks Isaac. Unfortunately since it’s a headphone amp, the only way you could hear anything is to go out the headphone output into pa with 1/8” to dual 1/4” cable and I’m not sure how that would sound honestly lol.

    Thank you so very much I had been wanting to buy this Pacific one so I purchased this off Amazon and this-morning and I was checking it out and I looked around for some other info and found you ,Thanks! So much you gave me all the information I need, I feel glad about the product thank you so much, Rock On. stay safe have a great 2021, thank you so much again, I know it’s a simple thing but it got me to understand a lot more quicker, i’m just a 58 year old rocker picking up the Bass again after 25 + years and a stroke and other setbacks to see if I can make some noise to disturb myself and not the neighborhood apartments neighbors lol,anyway I’m out of here thanks again✌🏻

    Nice review. I'm sold! I was actually about to order a Vox, saw the Donner and decided to look it up. Yours was the first video I saw about it, and you covered all the basses. For practice purpose, this should suit me fine, and when I want bigger sound without disturbing anybody, I still have the headphone jack on my mid size amp. Thanks again!

    Thanks for the description. I am actually on the verge of getting the Donner because as you mentioned, you don't always wanna haul an 80lb amp around when you wanna practice.
    The 'tinier' sound isn't going to be a real issue since I have a passive bass anyways so I'm sure I can mod some of that tone.
    Anyways..thanks again.

    Only issue with the Donner is that it won't last 10 years due to the internal battery, gotta keep that in mind! At 20-50 bucks tho, these are hardly irreplaceable items.

    I just ordered the donner since I broke my vox....I love the sound of the vox ,I don't like the way its cheaply made though, don't have high hopes for tve donner but we'll see what I get for 15$

    Great video! Nice clear/concise description. What headphones do you use for the VOX amp? Can you suggest any top quality headphones to use for bass guitar?

      Thanks Chris. I use my UE11s from
      Ultimate Ears but any quad driver is perfect.

      @@sr80bassguy thanks for replying so quickly! Can you auggest any good quad drivers? I'm just about to buy my first bass guitar (collecting from the music store tomorrow!) so just want to make sure I'm investing in a good pair of headphones. Thanks again :)

    • @sr80bassguy
      @sr80bassguy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chris McKay i should start by saying that quad drivers simply put are not cheap. BUT.. make all the difference because of the head room on the bottom end. If you are looking for non-customs (much cheaper), I recommend the Shure 535. Most guitar centers will carry a pair or two. Great for properly listening to music as well.

    Hi! I was wondering if the Donner would fit into a Stratocaster Affinity because I noticed that the plug in for the strat was on the body and seemed too shallow? Thank you for your review!

    • @sr80bassguy
      @sr80bassguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would imagine it would as this is a universal plug. But I’ve never had an affinity

    I have had so many bad experiences with donner. There cheap pedals there pedal boards and link cables I hate them but I’m ready to get disappointed again with this one I’m going to order it u can’t turn down a $25 deal vs $60 current prices. Like u said I just need to hear something it doesn’t have be an excellent tube high quality sound it’s just to practice. I’ll never learn my lesson with donner buying crap at discount bargains I’m a sucker for it I guess

    Dude.. thanks.. so I guess, the "vox amplug 2 bass" is a better buy. Doesn't it have inbuilt rhythms too??

    • @nugambakkam
      @nugambakkam 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sr80bassguy yes. The new one does... It's got 9 selectable rhythms. And the volume of those rhythms can be controlled too! I guess that's why it's called the "amplug 2"
