At first I thought working as a interpreter was gonna be different but now I'm working and that's the way you work as an interpreter don't feel afraid to do it .
Can you explain a little? I'm doing my training to work as an interpreter and some exercises seem a bit unreal, as if the two speakers understood each other without knowing someone's there trying to catch all of it. But from your comment, I suppose you mean it's a slow interaction like in the video, which makes it a lot easier to interpret without asking for repetition a lot.
Sure thing, in real life, you can actually use many tools instead of just repetitions, like asking them to go slower or asking for shorter segments (I still struggle with the latter), so it's much more dynamic, which actually makes it easier for the interpreter
You are very welcome! We have a Patreon page where with as little as 1 dollar of your support you help motivate us to create more content and we give you access to all the medical practice videos ad-free, scripts, answer sheets, vocabulary lists and more ….. www.patreon.com/Interpretyourworld
Amazing video, I just keep improving with my short term memory, as well with my notes, acutally this video i did not take any notes and I was very accurate, Thank you once again
Ok I love this videos, I've been binge watching them. On this one I just have some feedback or question you might say. Although this is a mock call I see convenient that we all know that after all of this screening the doctor will or might see the patient earlier than a year since he himself has to see the results for the tests and determine if everything is good after all
You’re right. At the end the doctor does say, “Yes, that will be it and I will see you back in a year unless anything changes”. I wrote that to mean, if anything comes back abnormal, I will see you soon. Your ending would have been better, though.
Accurate and quite helpful to every medical interpreter; I used to work as one, eitherway nowadays I don´t debar it but I´m a bit concerned about linguistic and literature topics. Anyway thanks a lot for this simulation.
We finally have a patreon page with all of the scripts, answer sheets, ad free medical video series and bonus material. www.patreon.com/Interpretyourworld
Thank you for sharing. I’ve been using your practice videos. Very helpful indeed. May I have your permission to adapt the dialogues for Portuguese? (There’s hardly anything in Portuguese on TH-cam when it comes to medical interpretation.)
I wish I could. I have the scripts ready but no time. If anything, I think I would do a challenge video like Tuesday Terp Challenge, but with beginner terms. Keep your fingers crossed.
Very nice videos, thank you. I can't understand completely what de doctor says in 3:43, would you please help me with that. "We need you to do some fasting ____ to check your cholesterol levels, sugar levels, _______ and all of that"
Welcome! It is, "Ok. Well we need you to do some fasting lab work to check your cholesterol levels, sugar levels, thyroid, liver and all of that. So when do you think you can come in for that?". Thanks so much for the training. I have been practicing with your videos. However, in this video, I could not catch with some parts of the doctor. Do you have a description or English sub? if so, that would be a great help!
Hi! We do not have that at the moment, but we hope to have everything ready, scripts, answer sheets and videos, and more educarional material through our patreon at the beginning of next year.
@@MadeIn619 Unfortunately, we only have the scripts and answer sheets for all of our medical series since it has most demand, but we are working on getting the material for the other videos as well.
