Atheism is a lot bigger in Asia then any religion and keeps growing strong because non existing god cannot help you, only you can and your friends can help you and your familly. Prayers do nothing while actions does everything! This is why religion is dying.

Christianity creates a social support network and a certain kind of cross-class interconnectedness that in Europe is handled by the state, whereas the stratification in Asia mirrors Roman society.
It obviously appeals to the poor in underdeveloped societies too, but in developed ones it spreads as well by way of being an attempt to level out socio-economic differences.

As a korean, I would like to add sth. Since korea still practice conscription policy, currently 95% of every male population should go through military service. In boots camp, military give only three options for religion activity. Since meals in boots camp is awful and they intentionally regulate all kind of sugar. but if you attend church, church offers you free snacks, which is only opportunity to get some free time and suger, everyone voluntarily rush to church and chapel....churches in boots camp are massive and you guys really should watch how magnificent that thousand of troops just lining up on church to get some bits of sugar. Military really plays major roll on spreading Christianity.

My story begins like this, I see the Lord's hand from the time of my conception in my life, My Mom wanted to abort me, I was saved due to the efforts of a Doctor who is a Catholic Nun, All my childhood memories are flooded with how I searched for God, I was very much involved in all religious activities but I still did not have the real peace in his heart. I often wondered, “After all these religious ceremonies which I am performing every day, am I in right relationship with God? Is he drawing closer to me? My earliest encounter with Christ was big image of the Sacred Heart, I always felt called by Him, During classes and even at break I used to look at Him, the day His eyes met mine, He never left me, I still was a stauch Hindu, I wanted to overcome my karma by performing devotional rituals, but fear of death and reincarnation had overcome me, the words of Christ to Martha has set me free " I am the Resurrection", I followed Jesus right from I was 11, I was hated by my family and relatives for my faith in Him, but the Lord was gracious enough to take me into His fold when I was 16, I was baptized along with my Mom and maternal Grandmother into the Church. Jesus my Savior, my King my all in all changed my life, there is no meaning to life without Him.

christianity ruined my childhood. fuck that bullshit. it's all lies and complete child abuse.
there is no hell. you should not tell kids that there is. especially when you don't have a clear answer nor does the bible have a clear answer for salvation.
scripture contradicts itself and doesn't lay it out clearly. some denomination say salvation by works, others say salvation by faith, others say salvation by indulgences. you should be able to go to the bible and get a clear answer, but the 4 gospels contradict the book of James on this matter - the literally most important matter for humans, since eternal torture vs not eternal torture depends on it.
it's also just all made up bullshit. that should become clear from studying history and science, but it takes a certain amount of ignorance to keep believing.

Thank you for dealing with this subject.^^
But there is an error. 1:02
Joseon offered tribute to Ming and respected Ming, but Joseon was NOT a vassal kingdom or subordinate country of Ming. Tribute was a form of international order in East Asia at the time. Ancient Japan paid tribute to Joseon. However, historians do not say that Japan was a vassal country of Joseon. Although they exchanged tribute depending on the relationship of power, they were completely different and independent countries.
This is a very sensitive issue. Because the Chinese Communist Party falsely claims that ancient Korean history is subordinate to Chinese history. But this is not true. China is distorting history because they have a political purpose to justify influencing North Korea. But we Koreans have different ethnic roots from Chinese and we have kept our identity for thousands of years.. I ask you to correct this error.

Prior to state funding they were minor family businesses with limited experience being put in such a precarious situation by a desperate state where the entire future of your nation relies on a few family companies. They managed to create a highly competitive and diversified industrial output at an insanely rapid pace against the odds. That's really impressive considering the circumstances. As you said the entire nation are still heavily reliant on these companies to this day. Between them, they pretty much employ 25-35% of the population if I'm not mistaken. That's extremely impressive anywhere in the World.

I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin.
You said in the bible that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved.
Right now I confess Jesus as my Lord. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Amen.

To call Joseon a vassal state of China is half correct half wrong! It was a tributary relation where the tributes was a symbol of acknowledgment of China’s extremely poweful culture at the time. If you look at Korean Chinese relationship, it has been literally bloody up until the founder of Joseon Dynasty (a traitor to Koryo Dynasty) Lee Sung Kye decided to not invade China but instead a coup d’etat. He later became the first King of Josepn, and one of the first hings he did was to set up a peaceful relationship between China and Korea (this led Korea being severely underprepared during Japanese invasion of Korea)
