@@MahmoudWaz I'm afraid I've seen otherwise. Like Palestanians having monuments dedicated to Saddam who used biological warfare missiles that scarred thousands of Iranians. All the Muslims I've seen are too busy bragging about the one time they conquered a Persia weak from the 600 year brutal war with Rome.
As an Iranian lur I must tell you that this sense of separatism is quite small and more fueled by foreign forces than anything else. Today many families in Iran are mixed, my own family has kurds, persians, turks, and Shomali’s in it, so it would be weird to talk about ethnic separation or supremacy. Iranians have a strong sense of nationalism too, while there might be a very small population that might want places like Azerbaijan to separate from Iran, most Azeris still love Iran and actually dont like talks of division.
is There is widespread propaganda among Sunni Arabs in Egypt and the Gulf suggesting that the Arabs of Ahwaz have converted to Sunni Islam and that the Sunni population there is now 70%. As a southern Iraqi, I know that our culture is similar to that of the Arabs of Ahwaz, as is our Twelver Shia sect. Therefore, I believe that the narrative propagated by the Gulf media about the conversion of Ahwazi Arabs to Sunni Islam is misleading. What do you think?
@@انسان-ك4ض This propaganda is not just in Egypt, it's older than that. It is propaganda which was made by Saddam during his invasion of Iran and Khuzestan years ago Saddam invaded Iran thinking that his propaganda will get people of Ahwaz to support him against the capital Saddam was met with such resistance from Ahvaz and Khuzestan that he ended up killing many villagers and random people and destroyed Khuzestan I am going to assure you, the people of Ahvaz and Khuzestan have not forgotten Saddam
Well said. I am 100% positive that the vast majority of Azeris consider themselves 100% Iranian and have no tendency to join the Republic of Azerbaijan; on the contrary, a large percentage of Iranian Azeris believe that the Republic of Azerbaijan must return to its motherland, Iran! It is ridiculous to even talk about Azeri separatism. This is Western and Turkish propaganda and is all BS. They don't know Iran and its long history. They think Iran is like most other countries in the region with arbitrary borders often drawn by the colonial powers.
@@Avin_RF Thank you for these facts . There is a lot of misinformation in the Arab media on this issue. The Gulf media is trying to create a nationalistic cause out of Ahwaz, similar to the Palestinian cause .
Iranian guy here. The thing about Persians and ethnic groups is that there isn't just ONE Iranian or Iranic ethnic group. And they don't even live just in Iran. They live all over the Middle East and Central Asia. It's kind of like the same thing with Turks or the Chinese. You have these related ethnic groups with related or the same language and shared ancestry.
@@SusCalvinoh I'm not even arguing whether Iran can be broken up or not. I'm just saying the way the video is talking about the ethnic groups in Iran lacks a bit of nuance that this short video can explain. Iranian culture is pretty influential in the region so its even kinda hard to draw the lines on the ethnic groups. There's a reason there's so many -stan countries. Like Azeris for example speak their own kind of Turkish. But are they Turks or Iranians? Because of a lot of their culture is very Iranian as well. For example they celebrate Nowruz, the Iranian new year
@@ccaa7674 I have higher hopes for a general strike or the Iranian oppositionals in exile than for an ethnic separatist group to spring up. Last time there was anti-regime riots they sparked in a corner of the country. But they didn't seem to be ethnic riots, instead it was outrage that the morality police has killed people.
Basically any country or region with -stan in the name has some varying percentage of Iranian ethnic blood and culture. Azerbaijan and Armenia are probably the most Iranian by blood, but the race stretches from Georgia, Turkey and the Balkans in the west to Dagestan and Kazakhstan in the north to India (Parsis) in the east.
I am an Indian and deeply admire iran and its millennia old history. I am an avid reader of iranian history and cultur and though I obviously can't understand persian but love to listen persian songs.
I’m an Iranian and i’m so proud to be from this land with such a fascinating history that shaped the world we live in. We might have issues and differences with the government but we always defend our land with all we got.
Iran is not simply a nation or a geographical location surrounded by mountains. Iran is a location on this planet that has hosted many civilisations going back at least 7000 years. Thus, its art, music, food, poetry, architecture, philosophy, religions, mathematics, science has influenced the region and the world over many millenniums. This is by no means an exaggeration. Kurds or Medes are close cousines of Persians and Kurdish is an Iranian language. Azarbijan (the name is from old Persian Atropates meaning protected by fire. This name is mentioned in the Avestan Frawardin Yasht: âterepâtahe ashaonô fravashîm ýazamaide which translates literally to: "We worship the Fravashi of the holy Atare-pata." ). As the name indicates Azarbijan is an Iranian province but after the invasion of Seljuk’s a turkish tribe in 11/12 century, the linguistic Turkification of the native Iranian populations began. As for Baluch, they migrated to Iran 2500 years ago from Syria and settled near Caspian sea. They then migrate further south east in a region called Makran. Note, that part of this region is in Pakistan (which did not exist at that time ans were all part of Iran). Shapur-I a king from the Sassanid empire’s trilingual inscription at the Ka'ba-ye Zartosht in Naqsh-i-Rustam, dated to 262 CE, has noted "Makuran"/"Makran" to be one of the many provinces of the Sasanian Empire. Their language is an Iranic language and the original tribes is no more as they are mixed with the people whom lived in these regions.
The truth has a bad habit of one day revealing itself.. The so called Civilised Western Democracies… they have actually turned out to be themselves of all what they have accused us of.. inhumane, evil, barbaric, war criminals committing genocide on innocent defenceless people… They need to be reminded of where civilisation was born…
@@babaksard9622 The video suggests that Iran is comprised of a number of breakaway regions wanting to join other breakaway regions in the neighbouring countries. And that it will fall apart without a strong central government. Of course history suggests otherwise. The millenniums old cultural ties prevents this! In fact the exact opposite has happened. Any part separated from Iran will reunite even when separated temporarily. Many of our hero’s and legends are from those regions.
i am an Iranian Kurd and currently live in Iran. based on my life experience the idea of Iran Balkanization if not enforced by west is very far fetched. Kurds may had many bad experiences with Iranian governments but are very related to Persians and Iran. Azeris the same, most of the modern Iran was ruled by Azeris and they are proud of it mostly, we have many national Azeri heroes and I don’t think an average Azeri sees Iran as the other's government overall. the most serious one is Balochs but not to the level of Balkanization and to SOME EXTENT you can use the Kurdish logic on them too

Balochi people would rather live with Iranians than any other groups if Independence is not achievable . Look how they are fighting the pakistani army & TTP in Pakistan with help from Indian intelligence.
I guarantee you, most Iranians see themselves as Iranian first. CaspianReport systematically understates Iranian national identity - which has been around for centuries - and overstates regional identities.
So nicely said.... I am Persian/Turkish from ethnicity. Even the name Persian, doesn't really mean for Iranians as (Farsi speaking Iranian) we simoly refer to all Iranians also often as Persian... Persian speaking Iranians never claimed the work "Persian" for themselves only. So in Iran itself and to our countrymen we might say: I am "Fars" but if a Kurdish or Arab or Beluchi or Turkish Iranian says in English, "I am Persian, we won't even think for a second that he is saying nonsense... Persia was the name for Iran for thousands of years so every Iranian no matter what ethnicity can simply say I am Persian or Iranian
The Iranian/Persian identity has existed for thousands of years, it’s not something that can simply be “dismantled” as some western leaders seem to think.

1) I am Darius [Dâryavuš], the great king, king of kings, the king of Persia [Pârsa], the king of countries, the son of Hystaspes, the grandson of Arsames, the Achaemenid. (2) King Darius says: My father is Hystaspes [Vištâspa]; the father of Hystaspes was Arsames [Aršâma]; the father of Arsames was Ariaramnes [Ariyâramna]; the father of Ariaramnes was Teispes [Cišpiš]; the father of Teispes was Achaemenes [Haxâmaniš]. (3) King Darius says: That is why we are called Achaemenids; from antiquity we have been noble; from antiquity has our dynasty been royal. (4) King Darius says: Eight of my dynasty were kings before me; I am the ninth. Nine in succession we have been kings. (5) King Darius says: By the grace of Ahuramazda am I king; Ahuramazda has granted me the kingdom. (6) King Darius says: These are the countries which are subject unto me, and by the grace of Ahuramazda I became king of them: Persia [Pârsa], Elam [Ûvja], Babylonia [Bâbiruš], Assyria [Athurâ], Arabia [Arabâya], Egypt [Mudrâya], the countries by the Sea, Lydia [Sparda], the Greeks [Yauna (Ionia)], Media [Mâda], Armenia [Armina], Cappadocia [Katpatuka], Parthia [Parthava], Drangiana [Zraka], Aria [Haraiva], Chorasmia [Uvârazmîy], Bactria [Bâxtriš], w:Sogdia [Suguda], Gandhara [Gadâra], Scythia [Saka], Sattagydia [Thataguš], Arachosia [Harauvatiš] and Maka [Maka]; twenty-three lands in all. (7) King Darius says: These are the countries which are subject to me; by the grace of Ahuramazda they became subject to me; they brought tribute unto me. Whatsoever commands have been laid on them by me, by night or by day, have been performed by them. (8) King Darius says: Within these lands, whosoever was a friend, him have I surely protected; whosoever was hostile, him have I utterly destroyed. By the grace of Ahuramazda these lands have conformed to my decrees; as it was commanded unto them by me, so was it done. (9) King Darius says: Ahuramazda has granted unto me this empire. Ahuramazda brought me help, until I gained this empire; by the grace of Ahuramazda do I hold this empire. 10) King Darius says: The following is what was done by me after I became king. A son of Cyrus [Kûruš], named Cambyses [Kabûjiya], one of our dynasty, was king here before me. That Cambyses had a brother, Smerdis [Bardiya] by name, of the same mother and the same father as Cambyses. Afterwards, Cambyses slew this Smerdis. When Cambyses slew Smerdis, it was not known unto the people that Smerdis was slain. Thereupon Cambyses went to Egypt. When Cambyses had departed into Egypt, the people became hostile, and the lie multiplied in the land, even in Persia and Media, and in the other provinces. (11) King Darius says: Afterwards, there was a certain man, a Magian [maguš], Gaumâta by name, who raised a rebellion in Paishiyauvada, in a mountain called Arakadriš. On the fourteenth day of the month Viyaxana (11 March 522 BC) did he rebel. He lied to the people, saying: 'I am Smerdis, the son of Cyrus, the brother of Cambyses.' Then were all the people in revolt, and from Cambyses they went over unto him, both Persia and Media, and the other provinces. He seized the kingdom; on the ninth day of the month Garmapada (1 July 522 BC) he seized the kingdom. Afterwards, Cambyses died of natural causes. (12) King Darius says: The kingdom of which Gaumâta, the Magian, dispossessed Cambyses, had always belonged to our dynasty. After that Gaumâta, the Magian, had dispossessed Cambyses of Persia and Media, and of the other provinces, he did according to his will. He became king. 13) King Darius says: There was no man, either Persian or Mede or of our own dynasty, who took the kingdom from Gaumâta, the Magian. The people feared him exceedingly, for he slew many who had known the real Smerdis. For this reason did he slay them, 'that they may not know that I am not Smerdis, the son of Cyrus.' There was none who dared to act against Gaumâta, the Magian, until I came. Then I prayed to Ahuramazda; Ahuramazda brought me help. On the tenth day of the month w:Bâgayâdiš (29 September 522 BC) I, with a few men, slew that Gaumâta, the Magian, and the chief men who were his followers. At the stronghold called w:Sikayauvatiš, in the district called Nisaia in Media, I slew him; I dispossessed him of the kingdom. By the grace of Ahuramazda I became king; Ahuramazda granted me the kingdom. (14) King Darius says: The kingdom that had been wrested from our line I brought back and I reestablished it on its foundation. The temples which Gaumâta, the Magian, had destroyed, I restored to the people, and the pasture lands, and the herds and the dwelling places, and the houses which Gaumâta, the Magian, had taken away. I settled the people in their place, the people of Persia, and Media, and the other provinces. I restored that which had been taken away, as it was in the days of old. This did I by the grace of Ahuramazda, I labored until I had established our dynasty in its place, as in the days of old; I labored, by the grace of Ahuramazda, so that Gaumâta, the Magian, did not dispossess our house. (15) King Darius says: This was what I did after I became king. 16) King Darius says: After I had slain Gaumâta, the Magian, a certain man named ššina, the son of Upadarma, raised a rebellion in Elam, and he spoke thus unto the people of Elam: 'I am king in Elam.' Thereupon the people of Elam became rebellious, and they went over unto that ššina: he became king in Elam. And a certain Babylonian named Nidintu-Bêl, the son of Kîn-Zêr, raised a rebellion in Babylon: he lied to the people, saying: 'I am Nebuchadnezzar, the son of Nabonidus.' Then did all the province of Babylonia go over to Nidintu-Bêl, and Babylonia rose in rebellion. He seized on the kingdom of Babylonia (3 October 522 BC). (17) King Darius says: Then I sent (an envoy?) to Elam. That ššina was brought unto me in fetters, and I killed him. (18) King Darius says: Then I marched against that Nidintu-Bêl, who called himself Nebuchadnezzar. The army of Nidintu-Bêl held the Tigris; there it took its stand, and on account of the waters (the river) was unfordable. Thereupon I supported my army on (inflated) skins, others I made dromedary-borne, for the rest I brought horses. Ahuramazda brought me help; by the grace of Ahuramazda we crossed the Tigris. Then did I utterly overthrow that host of Nidintu-Bêl. On the twenty-sixth day of the month w:Âçiyâdiya (13 December 522 BC) we joined battle. (19) King Darius says: After that I marched against Babylon. But before I reached Babylon, that Nidintu-Bêl, who called himself Nebuchadnezzar, came with a host and offered battle at a city called w:Zâzâna, on the w:Euphrates. Then we joined battle. Ahuramazda brought me help; by the grace of Ahuramazda did I utterly overthrow the host of Nidintu-Bêl. The enemy fled into the water; the water carried them away. On the second day of the month Anâmaka (18 December 522 BC) we joined battle.

@@mysigt_ They are cheap and cost-effective though, can fly far and are quite precise and thus highly dangerous. In Jordan this year, a US base was attacked by an Iranian drone with 3 dead US service members, indicating that these drones are a legit danger and that, while we all are in our good rights to laugh at Russian general performance against drones, the US' protection against such drones is also probably not perfect. Iran and their proxies have been able to strike cargo ships and tankers. Iran also shot down a Global Hawk RQ4 a few years back. And Iran's proxies attacked oil fields using drones deep inside Saudi Arabia - with US air defense systems no less - and achievd their goal. What I am saying is, the US can probably beat Iran, but all of the above show beyond any doubt that Iran is far more advanced than Iraq in every way, and unlike the war with Iraq, the war with Iran will result in a significant number of US casualties. Iraq under Saddam could not have done any of the things above, showing a lack of capability of Iraq. But I would be careful extrapolating such an easy victory to Iran. Also, I do not think the US has the actual political and moral discipline to fight a large war with Iran. They cannot even truly decide whether they want Ukraine to survive or not, with the US being split right down along the middle on this issue. It would be folly of a country in such a state to start a large war in the middle east. I may sound pro-iranian (and I am, to the extent that I hope their draconian regime falls) but the fall and eventual reform of the Iranian regime can only happen from within. I think they are too strong to be conquered by what is these days a politically weak and indecisive US. A cold war US and even a Desert Storm Era USA would have the discipline and willpower to pull through, but not post financial crisis US.
You forgot to mention one very important thing - Iran's linguistic influence. Where Iran has failed to export its religious influence, it has succeeded in exporting its linguistic influence. That's also the reason why Sunni majority country Pakistan has its entire national anthem in the Persian language. Not only that, Urdu language has also adopted a huge number of Persian words. I love the dynamics in this video and its comment section: Iranians minorities: “We love Iran and most of this video is horseshit, nobody I know wants separatism” People from the west and jews: “NO, you must be loving separatism! You are lying to yourself. Feel as I tell you!” The west is truly clueless about Iranian nationalism. Iran is the most continuous multi-ethnic civilization in the world. Meanwhile europeans never had such an empire after Rome, and exercised vicious racism in their governance. They think other civilizations are just like their own, well they gotta read some books lol.
Exactly. Iranian empires were always role models of multiethnic integration. It isn't just good governance, it's in the culture. Iranians, despite being Aryans, are not racist, not obsessed with ideals of purity, and very good at cultural assimilation and integration.
I don't think the second line is accurate. The most vocal advocates for Iranian national identity not existing and thus supporting ethnic nationalism and separatism are from two groups: Foreigners who are of those ethnic nationalism kind, mainly from Azerbaijan and Turkey but also some Kurds and Arabs and Some Iranian leftists who think they are fighting racism and discrimination by uniting with Pan-Turks, Pan-Kurds and other separatists.
Totally wrong, the Balochs are definitely not loyal to Iran and also are sunnnies. They also have a resistance group who on daily base liquidates Iranian soldiers in Baloch areas and near afghan border.

THIS IS ALL BS! I am an Iranian, and I'm a minority both ethnically and religious, I'm ethnically Talesh, and I was born in a sunni family. Let me tell you this, separatist movements in Iran are soooo weak. And not because governments suppressed them, because none of the Iranian ethnic groups want to be separated from Iran. You know why? Because they have the same values, same beliefs (not only religious), same history, same heritage, same roots, and same culture (like nowruz). You said it yourself. Modern Iran was built by Ismail, who was an azari! And 2 out of 4 next dynasties after Safavid had also azari roots(qajar and afshar), and guess what? The other 2 weren't fully persian either! One was lak (zand), and Pahlavis were from mazandaran! See? For the past 500 hundred years, all of the Iranian kingdoms were from minorities! So there is no forcing Iranian culture and Persian language! Even mongols and arabs admired Iranian culture and used Persian language! In other words, Iranian culture and Persian language never colonized anywhere, but connected all these diverse groups and kinda mixed them together. And one thing they all agree on is that they are all IRANIAN before anything else. That's why you can't divide Iran because we are all kinda mixed, and there's no ethnic border between actual people inside Iran :)) Oh, and don't forget about Iranian nationalism💀 I don't even want to start that topic :)) Aaaand last thing, comparison of Iran to Yoguslavia? The talk about separatism in Iran is utter nonsense. Sure, there are some who would like to separate, but their numbers are insignificant. For a long time, Persians haven't even been ruling Iran. The Pahlavi and Qajar dynasties,Iran’s last two imperial governments weren’t even Persian ( I am naming “only” 2 ), and yet here we are. We have been living together for more than 2,500 years, and these discussions always seem to come from foreigners. This unity is part of the Achaemenid Empire’s legacy, which included soldiers and citizens from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, the Caucasus, and Central and South Asia, demonstrating our long-standing diversity. Even some of the Achaemenid king of kings weren't purely Persian; some were of Babylonian and Median descent. If Cyrus the Younger had succeeded in defeating his brother and taking over the empire, we would have even had kings of Greek descent, as his wife was Greek. So, these discussions about ethnic tensions are greatly exaggerated and can be found in every country.
Well, History tells other story. Look at Iranian Azerbaijani region. During Reza Khan's rule, They got a short lived republic of Azadistan. During Mohammadreza, they got the same short lived republic under the rule of Pishevari. And After the Revolution, they nearly did the same by Ayatollah Shariatmadari.
As an iranian-arab with kurdish, persian, and irani-turk backgrounds, the majority of non-persian iranians are still patriotic to Iran (everyone hates the current government equally). For example, the supreme leader of Iran as of now, is half azeri-turk. Ive even heard the majority of azeri Iranians believe all of azerbijan should be apart of Iran, rather than long for seperatism. Iranians have been a mixed group since the beginning of our history. Even the acheamenids had median and elamite ethnic groups even prior to the empires expansion. the protests were also not-ethnically related (even though a lot of media tried to portray it as a Kurdish protest).

Throughout its prior history, Iran has been variously threatened or conquered by either Mongol (13th century) or Turkic forces such as the dynasties of the Seljuks (from the 11th century onwards) and the Ghaznavids (late 10th through 12th centuries)-all from Central Asia. did you know that your federal system was adopted from persian satrapy system? Iranians are Persians. They are the only nation that built four empires without slavery. They abolished slavery 2,500 years ago under Cyrus the Great, and the Cyrus Cylinder is recognized by the UN as the first declaration of human rights in history. The Persian values outlined in the Cyrus Cylinder were adopted as the first four articles in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by UN. Interestingly, the UN itself is a copy of a similar organization in the Persian Empire's capital, Persepolis, known as the Gates of All Nations. human right reached the west only thank to Thomas Jeferson obsession with Persians and specially the Cyrus the great so he fancy himself to become like Cyrus so he put human rights in US constitution US federal system is also a copy of Persian satrapy system where each satrap /province can interduce different laws in accordance with their culture as in this video mentioned when he talked about Persians gave autonomy to people they conquered and even allowed the defeated king to continue but under Persian authority which is why today in some state abortion is allowed in another one isn't ,the only difference is instead of satrap is called governor and satrapy called state . Persian were always ahead of their time in human value as they are today as opposed to westerners that use human rights, they learned from the Persians only as political weapon against their enemy and not care in slightest in reality. Persians are the only ones with the courage to stand up for what's right, never backing down despite facing 45 years of sanctions and reputation attacks from anti-Iran propaganda due to their stance on Palestine, Bosnia, and South Africa. In all these cases, Iran was the only country punished with sanctions for doing what was just, arming the victims to defend themselves. Why is it that only Iran and those backed by Iran-like Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Yemen-are standing with Palestine? Simple. Iran is the only country that cares more about ethics than money, so naturally, all the morally righteous people have joined them, forming the so-called "axis of resistance." You might not remember, but before the Iranian revolution, Palestinians could only resist with rocks and slingshots. Iran's nobility shines through their lack of ethnic or religious bonds with Palestinians, South Africans, or Bosnians. Iranians are Persian Shia, while Palestinians are Sunni Arabs. All Sunni Arab countries chose material benefits over ethics, aligning with the West/US/Zionists against their own. Whenever Arab countries supported a group, it was always a terrorist organization with jihadi ambitions like al-Qaida, ISIS, and Al-Nosra, unlike Iran, which supports those fighting against occupation-a human right granted by the UN. Hezbollah, for example, does not practice suicide bombing because they are Shia and believe it's a sin so heinous that even God cannot forgive it. Even Hamas, a Sunni group that once practiced suicide bombing against Israelis, had to stop attacking civilians to receive help from Iran. Though I am an atheist, I can't understand how the West claims to oppose terrorism while siding with Sunni Wahabism, the ideology of all suicide bombers and terrorist groups, against Shia Islam, which is the most tolerant form, especially towards minorities. This is evidenced by the fact that Jews and Christians only live in Shia-majority countries like Iran, Syria, and Lebanon. Today, there are 200 active synagogues and countless churches in Iran, and they have permanent seats in the Iranian parliament. edit: masquaer7014 informed me that I am wrong about Jews and Christians not living in Sunni land and reminded me that " Egypt has 10 million Christians out of 120 million population. Indonesia has 20-30 million Christians out of 260 million population. Jews also lived safely with Sunnis in Andalasia, Ottoman empire and Morocco. Also, Arabs fought multiple wars with Israel over Palestinian issue but lost all."

The creator of this video knows nothing about the history of Iran, nor does he know the strong bond of many ethnicities living in Iran. The borders of Iran changed in the early 1820s by losing Armenia and Azerbaijan to Russia. Also, All Iranians regardless of their ethnicity see themselves as Iranians like members of a big family. Saddam has this illusion about Iranian Arabs that the rulers of Azerbaijan have about Iranian Azeris. But Iranian Arabs were the first people who rushed to the front lines to defend Iran when Saddam invaded Iran in 1981. The Kurds and Azeris will do the same if a threat is imposed on Iran.

historically no separationist movement was successful in iran. because most people in these regions are barely interested in breaking up the country. these movements were always from some militia and groups with ties to foreign powers and when those foreign powers collapsed, those groups were gone with them too. the lack of support from the locals is the reason that even the weakest central governments in Iran are always able to suppress these groups. Reza pahlavi for example was able to keep iran together with an army that couldn’t hold its ground for 48hours against allies. but the warning of disintegration was always overplayed by the iranian governments in order to suppress any protest. The sense of unity in iranians is something that most foreign powers tend to underestimate. in the 2022 protests most of Iranians backed kurds and baluchis. And as you said, in the iran-iraq war, not only khusestani arabs didn’t support sadam’s conquest, they even pit up a fierce resistance against it. Iran does not need to choose between authoritarianism or being disintegrated. A federal democracy in Iran is more than possible and is probably the best solution for the whole region. if Iran dissolves into several smaller states, then it will throw the whole region into ethnic wars and instabilities that would go on for decades if not centuries.

The safavid empire era made Iran much more into a nation-state ideal than any of the Sassanid or old persian empire ideals Iranian like to cope they live in. The political destiny of the Middle East has been significantly shaped by the rivalry for regional power and influence between Turkey and Iran. While dormant for much of modern times, this rivalry has led to great conflict and bloodshed throughout history. But Turkey and Iran are more than just historical and strategic rivals. They are also the source of each other's deep- seated fears and anxieties. The Iranian national epic, the Shahname, depicted the ancient kingdom of Turan (associated with the Turkic people in Central Asia) as Iran's ultimate nemesis. Iran was often at the mercy of Turkic tribes from Central Asia, many of which not only invaded Iran as they migrated southward but also came to appreciate as Iran's rulers. The Turkic Safavid dynasty blunted the Ottoman Empire's eastward expansion in the 16th and 17th centuries. Subsequently, Iran's ruling Qajar dynasty, of Turkic origin, saw the Ottoman Empire as a model of European-style modernization. Reza Shah Pahlavi, the founder of Iran's last ruling dynasty (and first non-Turkic dynasty in hundreds of years), admired Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the Turkish Republic, for his determined effort to secularize and mod- ernize Turkey. The shah's modernization efforts were inspired by Ataturk's policies but were ultimately less successful and facilitated the overthrow of his son, Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, and the rise of the Islamic Republic. Iran's 1979 Islamic revolution sent shock waves through Turkey's military-dominated political establishment. The Islamic Republic, a revolutionary theocracy, was the antithesis of Ataturk's secular republic. Not only did it seek to overturn the regional geopolitical order but, in the eyes of the Turkish elite, it threatened the identity and very existence of the Turkish state.
Safavids were not Turkish. they were Persian but for some reason started joining the Azeri community and distanced themselves from them again during the Shah Abbas reign.
Turan is an imaginary land. Shahname never depicted real life people as actual enemy. There was never no Turan This is again another propaganda. Turks never even existed before the Moghul invasion

On the surface, it may seem so, but in Iran, everything is connected to everything and ethnic groups are not restricted to certain areas.

@joejones9520 😂 when bro? Your mistaking USA for Iran.

@@babaksard9622 The video suggests that Iran is comprised of a number of breakaway regions wanting to join other breakaway regions in the neighbouring countries. Any part separated from Iran will reunite even when separated temporarily. Many of our hero’s and legends are from those regions.
i am an Iranian Kurd and currently live in Iran. based on my life experience the idea of Iran Balkanization if not enforced by west is very far fetched.

These things don’t happen to nuclear powers not even North Korea with a 1950s era army navy and airforce. Delusional Iranians need to seperate their dreams from reality sometimes

The west is truly clueless about Iranian nationalism.

That's why you can't divide Iran because we are all kinda mixed, and there's no ethnic border between actual people inside Iran :))
Oh, and don't forget about Iranian nationalism💀 I don't even want to start that topic :))
Aaaand last thing, comparison of Iran to Yoguslavia? Seriously? That's just ridiculous. Because Yugoslavia was formed just after World War 1 following the unification of kingdoms, serbes, slovaks, and croats. but Iran was officially formed about 25 centuries ago :))

Even some of the Achaemenid king of kings weren't purely Persian; some were of Babylonian and Median descent. did you know that your federal system was adopted from persian satrapy system?
Iranians are Persians. They are the only nation that built four empires without slavery. They abolished slavery 2,500 years ago under Cyrus the Great, and the Cyrus Cylinder is recognized by the UN as the first declaration of human rights in history. The Persian values outlined in the Cyrus Cylinder were adopted as the first four articles in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by UN. Interestingly, the UN itself is a copy of a similar organization in the Persian Empire's capital, Persepolis, known as the Gates of All Nations.
human right reached the west only thank to Thomas Jeferson obsession with Persians and specially the Cyrus the great so he fancy himself to become like Cyrus so he put human rights in US constitution
US federal system is also a copy of Persian satrapy system where each satrap /province can interduce different laws in accordance with their culture as in this video mentioned when he talked about Persians gave autonomy to people they conquered and even allowed the defeated king to continue but under Persian authority which is why today in some state abortion is allowed in another one isn't ,the only difference is instead of satrap is called governor and satrapy called state .
Simple. Iran is the only country that cares more about ethics than money, so naturally, all the morally righteous people have joined them, forming the so-called "axis of resistance."
You might not remember, but before the Iranian revolution, Palestinians could only resist with rocks and slingshots.
Today, there are 200 active synagogues and countless churches in Iran, and they have permanent seats in the Iranian parliament.
edit: masquaer7014 informed me that I am wrong about Jews and Christians not living in Sunni land and reminded me that
" Egypt has 10 million Christians out of 120 million population. Indonesia has 20-30 million Christians out of 260 million population.
Jews also lived safely with Sunnis in Andalasia, Ottoman empire and Morocco.
Also, Arabs fought multiple wars with Israel over Palestinian issue but lost all."
Iran is not afraid of losing its Azeri, Turkaman, Baluch, Arab and Kurdish regions, quite the contrary, those provinces that we lost to colonialism will join the motherland very soon. Look no further than the provinces of Bahrain, and Aran (known as the republic! of Azerbaijan!). ❤🇮🇷✌

Also and I don't say this lightly, the willingness to fight for one's country isn't an American value, it's in essence a human value.Which is something many Americans fail to understand, just because people criticise the govt doesn't necessarily mean they want foreigners to topple it, which again is something the US fails to understand time and again , they bombed a clan elders meeting in Somalia ,this was a warlords meeting and the warlords were not necessarily liked by the Somali people but that doesn't mean they would tolerate foreigners bombing them and don't you know it, Mogadishu happened.

This means by default he will have a negative bias towards Iran, despite Iran and Azerbaijjan both being countries where Muslims are the majority (at least officially although Islam is merely a cosmetic feature of the country seeing as alcohol for example is consumed everywhere), Iran doesn't like the country and rather cooperates with a Christian majority country like Armenia, due to geopolitical differences. @@vorynrosethorn903 Actually the more conflict Azerbajjian unleashed upon Armenia, the easier it is for Iran to side with Armenia. Both Russia and Iran dislike Azerbajjian for different reasons. USA only comes in to play to "reward" Azerbajjian for their openly pro-Israel stance in the region...
You don’t know Iran dude. Iran has been Iran for millennia. Having multiple ethnic groups is part of the definition of Iran and the reason why it’s been rock solid for ages, not its weakness. Multi-ethnicity is a problem in the fake and arbitrarily made-up countries of the middle east, but part of the identity and history of Iran. There is no serious separatist movement in Iran. Go read about what happened when Iraq invaded Khuzestan in 1980. Arabs of Khuzestan fought them to death. Along with all other Iranians. In order to analyze a nation you have to know its soul, culture, history, and identity. You can’t become an Iran expert from behind your laptop 🙏🏻
Iran from the safavid era on is TOTALLY not the old persian empire in any way. The safavid empire era made Iran much more into a nation-state ideal than any of the Sassanid or old persian empire ideals Iranian like to cope they live in. You can always read the rhetoric online: Iranians tend to seethe about arabs, afghans, turks and whatever, but they love their specifically OWN minorities because it is part of their state. This video is completely right that the shia islam ideal and unique way the Safavids dealt with Iran has left Iran glued together with its same borders but it's laughable that Iran does not have a huge hate of other races and neighbours if you just look a little at the "soul" of iranians (I can read persian).
What now glues Iran together is an ironic shift from shia-nationalism to a hate for the regime and a call for secular nationalism. The trend is as clear as day and I do not understand why you're acting this video made no sense.
