  • Love spray painting furniture for a quick look update? In this video I use Rustoleum Spray Paint to refinish a Little Tikes Picnic Table (and it could be the best spray paint for plastic...you decide)! This is a great beginner project that will make your Little Tikes table truly one-of-a-kind.
Spray paints and spray paint sealer that we used are listed below:
Rustoleum Universal All Surface (Oil Rubbed Bronze color, 2 cans): amzn.to/3mny4W2
Rustoleum 2X (Matt White color, 1 can): amzn.to/2ZCERBz
Rustoleum Clear Coat (1 can): amzn.to/3iv3ebU
I am an Amazon Affiliate, so if you buy something I will (hopefully) make money off the sell.

Thanks for specifying the recommended grit sandpaper and also the spray paint brand you used.
We have a doll bunk bed that we repurposed into a cat bed with some added structural support and cushions. Some of the frame is a matte sort of soft textured hard plastic and the pillars are more shiny hard plastic. It is currently baby doll pink, but I want to repaint it in space theme and make some new cushions to match.

Thank you for this video. Very clear, concise and short. You have a nice speaking voice. Question: do you need to apply a clear finish?

I apologize, I just saw this comment! I would say that it wouldn’t hurt to do that...we moved across states with this table in the last couple months and it is seeing some wear from being packed up and shipped around.

Is it possible, to show me, how to paint a terracotta pot? Thanks

How well did it hold up. Is there any flaking or peeling. Normally when Peyton plastic you use adhesive promoter. But it seems like these new paints have it in it. I'm getting into 3D printing and I'm painting plastic so I'm curious on the quality of the paint

This is another item I need to do a separate video on, but I will give you the spoilers here...
For us, the paint did not hold up well. We had a couple special considerations in our case, including moving between states and three kids abusing it, but for us the paint did not last very well long term. Using an adhesive promoter like you mentioned would probably help.
I would also say if you were simply going to paint plastic and put it on a shelf and not use it regularly, this paint would probably work fine as well.

Did you paint the bottom also or just the tops?

We did paint the bottom/inside too...it was the same process as the outside, just not as exciting.
