That sweater is AMAZING! I keep a basket next to my favorite chair. Whenever I feel a bit of burn out, I make a granny square from the yarn in that basket. I look forward to seeing what you do with your squares! I have a huge tote full of them. I need inspiration to use them.

cool sweater love the mixed colors, i hear ya on the crochet to fast some people can i did it a bit, i got trigger finger for doing it to long, its okay to make mistakes i have done that lots of times, good job on your granny squares
You should do the opposite version of this: Whats the fastest time you can crochet a ____ (blanket/sweater/hat/ etc) and then see how long it takes you to do it for the actual time you spend crocheting not just how many days total of doing some here and there.
10:20 shall we start a petition for competitive crochet to be recognised as a sport? Can you imagine walking into a room with a bunch of people seated in front of the tv going: "GO!" "YOU CAN DO IT!" "THEY SUCK YOU HAVE IT IN THE BAG!" "GO FASTER!" or whatever people say when they watch football with all the random cheering and you look at the screen and it's just two people crocheting a neverending granny square out of a massive (like, _massive_ ) skein of yarn racing who uses more of it by the time they use it all up, all the while two other people are tasked with untangling any barfs or tiny knots (think people changing tires in formula races)? I'd watch that.
I just started crocheting and it gets so overwhelming at times.. I feel like I can't do it.. Feel a little discouraged.. But hopefully I can do it.. 🙂🙂
i made a granny square that had 16 rows the last row had 124 stitches. it took me all day. but i was busy writing down the pattern and learning how to make it on the same day too. i wasn’t actually counting how long it would take me to make it though. i’m better at crocheting amigurumi. i find it easier that crocheting flat stuff.
