I still have my pixel 6 pro, 512gb and still as good as the first day. I'm getting 7+ hrs of sot everyday and the cameras still hold strong to this day. What I love the most of this phone is the software, the way you can integrate assistant to almost everything is great for me. I was planning on updating to the pixel 9 pro xl but when I did an accubattery and the Batt app to check the battery health It measured 91% so yeah. Probably another year as my daily driver and then it could become my secondary phone Edit: you can use repainted through shizuku. I also like to play with my devices and installed derpfest on the p6p to test it and honestly, it's nice, it adds face unlock and unlimited Google photos
With shizuku I couldn't get the OLED mode to work. Which is the main thing I like. Also loveeee the free photo storage. I have an old xiaomi with free Google photos and I was thinking of making a tutorial for people
I've still got my pixel 6. And I truly enjoy it. Although I'm thinking about switching up to a pixel 8A. I just finished watching your review on that also.
@@KepTechReviews it's been pretty solid I get on average about an hour of screen time per 10% battery so if I stick to only TH-cam watching I get about 9 to 10 hours of screen watching time. That's with me being at home and on wifi. When im at work I usually have audible running in the background and I pre download the books so usually at the end of my 8 hour shift I'm at 67% to 69% depending on if I watch TH-cam on my lunch and breaks.
@@KepTechReviews I was wondering why people always said they didn't get good battery with the 6 when it first came out because with the screen time I get on average is really good comparatively. I haven't messed with the settings aside from only using 60 herts instead of 90
Honestly I think it depends on which one you get. I have had a couple now and only a few have been hot. I wish there was a way to undervolt or underclock without having to root the phone.
@KepTechReviews im planning to get pixel 8 pro is it ok? And also i forgot to mention that there is no official google service center here in my country so i really thinking twice before getting one
I like the pixel 8 series. I haven't had the pro, but I have had the 6 pro, 7 pro, and 9 pro. They are all awesome if you like big phones, so I would think the 8 would be a pretty good buy. Also, I wouldn't be too worried about service centers. Here in the States. Pretty much all you can do is get a screen replacement unless you have Apple. But I guess if you aren't careful with your phones that may be an issue. Will you. Be able to send in the phone to the service center?
i went thru 4 in less than 2 yrs. lots of screen issues and after the 1st screen screen replacement any significant water would kill it and it would twist when in my pocket. i would have to straighten it out after for it to lay flat. i liked it but was not made for any kind of abuse
Nice video. Btw just thinking of upgrading from an old motorola and I just wanted to know if I should get a pixel 7 or 6 pro. Pixel 7 is 40 usd more though so just let me know what you think. Thanks.
@BooksSummarised1 I would so the 7 if you don't like the tinker and you keep your phones for a long time. The 7 will get more updates, the 6 will get updates through sites like xda but you will have to load custom software which not everyone likes to do.
The 6 pro will get security updates until at least Oct 2026. So if you only plan on keeping your phone for around 2 years then the updates won't make huge difference unless you really care about having the latest and greatest in terms of major is updates. Again though you will be able to get those if you really want through xda.
Anyone with pixel 6 pro ? Does yours switch to telephoto lens when recording video and zooming in ? The zoom is amazing still in camera mode but in video it won't switch, it used to be so impressive being able to video something so far away up close.

Either choice is pretty good. How's your battery life?

Just sold my Pixel 6 for $250 on Facebook and then bought the Pixel 6 Pro for $200, lol. Love it.
Hahaha awesome! I love a good deal!
The only thing that holding me for buying pixel phones is the heating issues 😢 but i really really love buying one

Dang that is crazy! I guess it is kind of a lottery with the pixel 6 pros. Mine has been great! What phone are you using now. I assume not a pixel 🤣
