Dont be fooled, it had a bunch of bodywork internally too. Arches, wheel tubs, inner sill etc. JDi Autobody are the best!!

Would you recommend using tar and glue remover as it takes off all glue and lease it ready for sounding ?

Getting the area clean and free from grease and dirt it key. Grease and tar remove could work but we use brake cleaner and maybe even thinners for stubborn adhesives.In some cases it may be impossible to get all traces of glue off the panels.

I still don't understand why VW panel vans get to be registered as camper vans without jumping through the same hoops as other vehicles do ? At least they got caught trying to apply their own special emissions tests LOL .

This was likely registered as a camper at the time of original conversion which was on the mid 80s
