@@neilpickup237 The airplane would become too heavy, the wingspan is the same in all A321s, it means higher fuel consumption, lower flight-range. If Airbus built a new aircraft, It would be a complete brand-new development.
@HernanMartinez-b4i Apparently, Airbus themselves did a feasibility study and decided that it was possible if they had either more powerful engines and/or they were able to reduce the weight. If I remember correctly, they ended up with an extra 4 rows of seats. The question they were left with was to wait until the next generation of A320 or develop a new lightweight composite wing, much in the way they did for the A330neo.
Nonsense. they've just been reluctant to invest in a new plane, with would presumably feature mostly carbon construction as per the A350. With Boeing doing so badly, they don't need to bring a new plane to market yet.

Another breaking news bulletin.. Open rotor technology.. Yawn...🥱 Like, take me back to 80's... You do realize there is nothing new about this technology.. You remember; Big hair, acid washed jeans, who shot J.R. !!😂
Wonderful ! Another AIRBUS "HUGE PLAN" on new Rolls-Royce Engine will change the aviation industry it means "for the future" 0:21 .
what do you think about this new engine?
Sounds great @FLIGAVIA ! And I love it very much 😄 !

A322 is imposible to build!!
Why do you think that?
