This is a great video! Im getting a PO452 code and my car starts up fine and drives fine but i can smell gas when starting it up. I think it may be a sensor causing this but not sure. Your thoughts?
I’m having this problem now and trying to eliminate certain potentials to pinpoint what the issue could be. All the shops around me (SoCal, unfortunately) charge $250 for a diagnostic… which could still lead to a “maybe it’s this part,” and I don’t want to blow $250 to tell me it’s a $9 part. A couple years ago I installed a new fuel pump and fuel filter because it randomly died one day. I was in the process of building another car and so this mostly sat. In a couple years, it’s seen maybe 300 miles. But now got the check engine. Runs fine, idles fine, power seems to be there, so I’m wondering if theres a way to limit the possibilities down from 7 parts, to 1 or 2. I’d really hate to have to drop the tank again…. It was PITA.
I have the same code on my Hyundai. Drives fine but has a rough idle. Wants to stall sometimes. I’ve changed the pressure sensor, purge valve solenoid, vapor vent canister solenoid and removed the charcoal canister to check for blockage and did the same with all the lines. I’m at my wits end. Any suggestions?
Usually, an EAVP issue does not cause the engine to run rough unless the purge valve is stuck open. When an engine starts, the purge valve should be closed, and no effect on the engine performance. Since the components have all been replaced, I would do a smoke test and check the wiring.
I’ve replaced the sensor, evap canister, fuel pump, evap pressure sensor. When cold it starts, but when driven and I turn it off it doesn’t start again, it will crank but will not start. The only way it will start when hot is when I take the fuel line off the fuel rail and let all the pressure and gas out from the line. It will start again. What is the problem?
I have the same code on my 2006 ford expedition but the auto part store told me my car doesn't have a fuel pressure sensor what else can it be or where is this sensor located bc they said the system says there is no fit for a 2006 ford expedition
You will need a diagram of the EVAP system for your exact year and model to know for sure where parts are located. Ford Fuel Tank Pressure sensor is often located on the gas tank but can also be on the fuel pump, charcoal canister, or other locations.
My diagnostics fixit is sending this code to me.But the problem is my CheckBrake system light comes on along with my traction control symbol to. Would this Code cause this to happen
Are there any other codes? Is the brake fluid at the correct level? The vehicle will need to be researched to know for sure, but often, when there is an error engine error, many computers shut down driver assist, such as traction control.
What kind of filter does Ford use in newer pickups to pull from outside to the vent solinoid?.Chevys is inside the door beside the capless gas cap. And it's a joke.

Excellent information and presentation 👍

Crown Vic 2010 keeps throwing wrench light on and stalling. I’m unsure what it is
