I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my inherited portfolio of about $2.5m. I’m used to just buying and holding assets which doesn’t seem applicable to the current rollercoaster market plus inflation is catching up with my portfolio. I’m really worried about survival after retirement.

The market will be high in 10 to 20 years, and significantly higher in 30. It's almost impossible for a company with no debt to go bankrupt. Canada is about 3% of the global marketplace, the U.S. is about 50%, and the remainder of the globe is 47%. Pay yourself first. It's time in the market, not timing the market. Yes, your intuition is correct. I am 30 plus years older than you and you absolutely should put more into the index funds and make them the core. Buy individual stocks to create alpha and then slowly sell and fund the indexes as the years roll by. Try and find stocks you can hold for at least 10 years. Market cycles are long and you have to be patient. Sell the shit coin. It is worthless.

I find it fascinating how crypto prices can fluctuate so drastically in such a short amount of time. It's a testament to the volatility of the market and the unpredictable of investor sentiment. However, i believe that these fluctuation are simple part of the journey towards mainstream adoption and eventual stabilization. Despite the risk, i remain bullish on the potential of crypto currencies to disrupt traditional finance and usher in a new era of decentralized transactions. Recent volatility makes it impossible to predict bullish or bearish trends. And trading success depends on the pattern and signal source.

The majority of people only brag about their wins. I appreciate the transparency here and your lessons learned. I was $50K deep in SOL NFTs and just recently liquidated 85% to almost break even thanks to Jelly Esports, Blocksmiths, Atadia, Taiyo pilots, etc. Hope your projects rebound!

Thanks for the content. Having VOO and VTI is redundant, you only need one. I would do VTI with MGK or MGC instead of VOO for redundancy of course 😂

I enjoyed this video content because you also spoke of the losses. Everyone wants to talk about the winnings but never about the losses. My portfolio is worth nearly the same as yours in dollar amount. My bigger losses are PLTR and LCID. I DCA on both and will simply hold. I'm also down in GOOGL, AMD, TSLA, and AMZN but, they'll rebound and I should be fine. Overall, I'm down about $16k.

Loved this video. Are you dollar costing in shares and etfs as well along with crypto?

You would be up so much if you just bought 90% VOO and 10% in Bitcoin, but I guess that’s not sexy enough.
