Hi! Last week on 24.05. we picked up our Ariya (63kWh, Evolve, Ceramic Gray, 19") from the dealer and after a week we are still pretty excited about the car. There are a few things that are not 100%, but that is almost all on the software side. For example, the driver's mirror is sometimes forgotten to fold in or out. Very extreme: the driver's mirror is not folded out, only after getting out of the car, locking and unlocking, and getting back in the car is it folded out again. The e-pedal - you have to get used to it if you're coming from a Leaf with a real e-pedal, but it works now. It could certainly be offered as an option - as it is now or as it is in the Leaf. Automatic speed reduction when a sign is detected - don't just brake from the sign, but have reached the permitted speed from the sign. In the multimedia display, only the radio station name is shown in the main menu tile (2x1), instead of the title and artist; this data is only shown if you explicitly call up the MM screen. (nothing is displayed in the larger tile either). Missing filter options when planning charging according to provider (EnBW, Ionity, etc.) and speed (>50kW, >100kW or similar) and not always wanting to charge to 100% when calculating routes, but also allowing you to set a limit (e.g. up to 80%). [tbc.] let's hope for a super software update in the near future ;-) But these are all small things and the driving pleasure is definitely much greater! I also received this email from Nissan Charge - but it doesn't really affect me, as I drive long distances maybe 1-2 times a year and then it doesn't matter whether it's 59 or 79 cents, the rest of the year I charge at home on the PV or - and that's my real plus - free of charge at my employer's and from soon on even with 22kW! Many thanks for your videos - you have certainly contributed to the fact that the Ariya has moved in with us ;-) LG Holger
Hi Holger, glad I could be of help! That mirror thing indeed is weird, ours had that as well, when the automatic fold is turned off. I think the issue is with the switch not sending proper commands via the network. I have it on "unfold upon power up" and fold upon lock", that takes care of all the folding and unfolding I need and I don't have to use that button. Maybe this can be a workaround for you too. But I agree, Nissan needs to fix that. E-Pedal - I think so too, an optional "full stop" without the brake pedal would be nice! Automatic speed - also completely agree, some "predictive" stuff would be nice. That said, I think (just as the predictive slowing down in sharper corners that actually is there) this function has the potential to get on your nerves regardless of its performance. I tend to only use it on the Autobahn (there, the speed changes are kinda ok most of the time), and even then I sometimes turn it off. But yes, could be improved! MM screen - yes, old Nissan thing, but for me I dont care :D They really nailed DAB+ and the automatic fallback to FM though, that is much more important to me. Filter Options - YEEEES! Question is, if anybody really would use it. TBH, I am not sure if even I would do it ABRP is soooo good for route planning, and now we can just transfer the route to Google Maps and that is soooo good for navigation... I kinda understand, why Nissan is hesitant to spend a lot of money for a system that probably will only be used as a backup for 99% of the drivers. Then again, it's a very expensive car, and we can expect an excellent satnav. So, again, YES! :) Thanks for following and sharing your experiences mate!
What are the prices there? As I understand, in Germany only about half the Superchargers can be used by "other" cars and most of them have different pricing, so it's a really mixed bag...I highly prefer the "Elli approach" (the old plan, that ends today), since Ionity really is in a good shape here.
@Nissan Electrified I took one at random near me, and the normal price is around €0,48 and €0,35 if you pay €10 membership fee, but there is no limit or minimum requirements on that memebership, so you could be a member just over the summer months while traveling. And never worry about wating time at the chargers ;)
Ok, so that's a lot cheaper than in Germany. Over here, you pay 13 bucks a month and prices range from 40 to 46 cents per kWh, depending on the charger and time of day. Also, Tesla says "prices can change anytime", so in true Tesla fashion you pay money and have no control over what you are actually getting.
True, but they do not in Germany at this point either. In their defense, it seems that in a coordinated move, all other manufacturers also effectively pulled out of such special charging offers as well, or rather Ionity stopped offering those discounts (I guess, since otherwise a stunt like this would fall under the category "illegal price collusion"). They all still offer some kind of deal, but it simply brings no benefits over what is available on the market anyways. As of now, you can either get the newly launched Ionity Passport, paying 11.99 per month and charge for 59 cents per kWh at Ionity. Or you get the new Elli Highway plan which runs for a year, pay 14.99 per month and pay 50 cents per kWh at Ionity, Ewiva, Audi charging hub und Aral pulse, plus some slight discounts on other DC and AC networks. No OEM deal seems to offer anything better. Nissans Ionity deal is pretty much the same as the new Ionity Passport. It is 9 cents less expensive per month than the Ionity passport, saving you a whopping 1.08€ per year :D, but you have to do a contract over 6 month with them, whereas you can book or cancel monthly if you take the Ionity passport and probably get much better customer care. I know what deal I'd take.

I use Tesla chargers as much as I can, I dont like the cars but the charging network is awesome ;)

Your lucky. Nissan offer no charge plans in the UK.
