I don’t work at Sunglass Hut anymore but I remember when we got this collection in our store and they do feel really cheap. These particular frames are not acetate thought, the key word is “Bio-Based Frames” but when we placed orders for customers in store, the model says that it’s a nylon/propionate material, so that explains the squeaking most likely. I can’t justify a lot of what Ray-Ban does much less luxottica, and the Chinese made product is getting out of hand, even Justin’s Erika’s and newer Chromance collections are all made in China and the quality certainly reflects that

Bought the brown & green Polarized lens model in Costco Japan on sale for 100$ Like the look … yeah the build quality is what it is. But for 100 bucks … Im good… when I lose them I won’t be so bummed
Ray bans have had this problem for ages now, basically the acetate is so low quality that any amount of heat or cold affects the fit of the lenses and makes that squeaking noise
I tried them today at a local store and my first thought was... they look so cool, the fit is perfect (in XL version) for my head size, but I didn´t realize this squeaking issue... Now I'm not sure if buying or not. Btw they cost 160 usd here in Mexico.
I bought new wayfarer polarized from ray bans website, made in Italy, and the build is soooooo bad. Squeaks included. I contacted ray ban and they gave me a refund and told me to keep them.
I have an Original Wayfarer customised with engraved temples, bought about 5 years ago and the temples are not perfectly aligned and also one of the lenses keeps moving while cleaning them, just like yours in the video. And mine is a Hand made in Italy model but still...
I was debating these or the Mr. Burbank. I decided to go with the Burbank, and I'm glad I did. BTW, my Mega Wayfarers have lenses that move, and my New Wayfarers squeak. Both are made in Italy. No complaints about my Chinese-made Justins, though.
My new wayfarers also squeak when you flex them... also youre supposed to Pop the lenses out as far as I know.. my made in china ray ban topbars are absolutely flawless! Made in China doesnt always equal Bad Quality..
Yes, Made in China does equal garbage , corporations in North America and Europe are to blame, they have given up on quality to chase profits, out sourcing their manufacturing to the lowest bid, and building to a spec that can be passed off as acceptable to the uniformed masses.
Great episode as always, definitly the best reviewer on shades. These glasses though... the loose frames on these are completely unacceptable for the price. How can Ray Ban have any pride in these Chinese made glasses is beyond me. They should be ashamed of the ones that come from China. It's damaging to their brand name.

Well it’s only your opinion buddy. I have bought green ones two days ago with -40% discount for 107 €. They look and suit absolutely perfect. Quality is good as always. That squeaking is cool too…it’s a cheap bio plastic what do you expect))!? We all know that if we want to buy a different level hand made sunglasses the cost will be around €1000. I have different ones and I’m totally satisfied with these for a 100. This time I wasn’t ready to spend a 500 € for a same frame type plastic Gucci shades so I can proudly wear them going out fishing))
@@ShadeReview Wayfarers. They are a commemorative issue for the Lillehammer winter olymics. The plastic on the nose bridge is quite faded because it has some into contact with sunscreen on my face. They are ok, but the Italian made Ray Bans make them look cheap by comparison.
Damn..... I better cancel my order! :-( I always have RayBans glasses and sunglasses about 10-12 pairs over the years and even passed my aviators to the kids. This is shocking quality though!

Do they make any noise on your face? Like what if you never grab the lenses and shake and twist them? because I never do that with my glasses
