    The point defense ship was such a good strategy. Good, constant damage, and disabling missiles and cannons!

    I want to see some hyper drives used in a domination match. Having the large heavy ships just jump to some light scout ships already on the points.

      Unfortunately the hyperdrive spinup time is quite long. So blinking to dodge stuff is extremely hard if not impossible to do.
      Retreating is also quite useless as you can’t really repair anything. Better to invest those resources in more thrusters.
      Same for offence: thrusters are a more efficient solutuon.
      The only scenario I can think of is a teamfight where you make a short range brick of armour, scare away a slow enemy and then teleport to assist a teammate

      @@marceauberthe Yes you can. But as I said: the time it takes for a hyperdrive to be fully span up is quite long. Larger ships take slightly longer since the hyperdrives are less efficient (unless you have a lot of hyperdrives. Which brings into question other design aspects)

    Jump drives available? Just make a super armored station with no engines and put those resources into armor and weapons. Stick a jump drive on it and put it at a vital location like the centre of the zone.

    I always question the logic of some of these players... like... a full missile ship into a pull point defiance????

      I don't think they can see what ships the enemy has until the game starts.

    I wonder if the PD rammer could stop railfan shots

      I doubt it. Railgun shots are so extremely fast moving that I doubt the PD would be able to destroy the shot in time. Maybe though.

      They can.
      But it's unreliable.
      Occasionally, a sabot will get through and tear through the pd turrets like butter.
