As a Ryu main this, is how I wish I could play this character lol the way Asimo uses Focus is actually ridiculous, he just times those so well and the follow ups are so fast. This is why I love playing and watching Ryu matches because when a Ryu cooks they cook lol
I recently I’ve been trying to switch to rein and I hundred percent agree with you. Him along with Ken and Kazuya both feel very stiff as your movements are very sidestepping and have a very small box. It’s really cool to see people dominating with a primarily close combat fighter with not a lot of range moves.
Bro I love playing ryu he is such an underrated character and all my friends hate me for playing him due to the sheer amount of damage he can do when u get a decent combo off.
I am also a Ryu main, and I'm trying to get the commands (mostly the true shoryu), and I feel like once I am able to use them very well and pull them consistently, I will be a stupid broken Ryu player.
