    Keen Edge, Brutal Shell, and Solid Barrel are perfection. The rest are mostly fine now tbh

      Those skills sound the best to me in this mod tbh. Gnashing fang's combo though... I like the slashes more than the chunks of thuds and bumps so those too. I'll never be able to hear the sounds we have now without grinding my teeth.

      @@TheShadowfan9000 I do think the current Gnashing Fang and Continuation combo balances slashes and explosions just right. Also I think the old Demon Slice/Slaughter was better too haha

      @@Zaulr9797 I could go either way with the aoe's tbh... Before does admittedly sound a lil scissory but still more clean than the waft of air we have now for them lol.

      I use the audio to let me know when my next ws is ready since I have enough sks to make it synch up with with the GCD

    I really don't get why Squeenix replaced the original sounds. The original was so much better and actually sounded like they had impact whereas the new one just sounds like you're swinging at air.

    I'm sorry but am I missing something here? Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate your work, but I'm not entirely sure where to look for different sounds here. I'm a little bit deaf, so if people could tell me exactly which skills are changed (so I can compare) I'd be very thankful

      basically all the weapon'swings' sound a bit more like "cutting" than flinging around a slab of steel, like they used to before, while retaining the more juicy explosions sounds after the patch.
      i.e. combining the best of both worlds

      The video is based off footage comparison from Very Merri a long time back on twitter. Like the comment from Duw says, the main difference is they currently have the sounds of what seems more blunt and overly loud explosions while they used to have a more piercing, clean sounding slash effect but the explosions were I guess too subtle for some's liking. So they put the two together.

    Why did they get rid of the proper SFX for gunbreaker?

      A forum thread was made after release complaining about the "explosive" SFX... and so instead they adjusted the explosions and the blade slashes.... That's the going theory anyways as there's many complaints on the JP end of things too. No one really knows, but no one likes these changes really other than necessary ones like Fated Circle.

      The link in the description explains everything. However, as of patch 5.3 he hasn't yet updated the Index so by using them right now, you would be missing sound effects that were recently added to newer content. Including voice acted lines and so on. The creator said they would be back the 22nd of this month and will work on a new index to fix this soon though.
