    Going back to grease was an absolute GAME CHANGER for me. Made it back to waist length in a matter of 3 years. Do not fix what is not broken. Great video!

      That's awesome! I'm trying to get to waist length. That is my ultimate goal. So you have any suggestions for me outside of what I said I already do? And thank you😊

      @@mekasmith3464 I would also suggest looking into chebe as well. It really helps with moisture and length retention. My hair loves it. I started going back to grease and using chebe and it made a remarkable difference!

      @@pinky-ud1rt yes, my hair is 4c. I have a mix of all 4 hair types in my hair but mostly 4c. I use water, mielle leave in conditioner mixed with water (so basically more water, and blue magic hair grease. I slather it on like I'm trying to rock a jerry curl lol. I mix olive oil, grapeseed oil and avocado oil into my hair grease. I wash it every 2 to 3 weeks. I moisturize with my water and leave in conditioner mix every 2 days. I sleep with a bonnet and silk pillow case. that's it! Lol. I'm a lazy natural. I don't manipulate my hair too much.
      Also, keep your ends trimmed and get rid of single strand notes (cut them out). Your hair will flourish!

    Yes sis! Big shout out for this video from London...I jumped on the all natural product bandwagon having binge watched every video I can about what to use in my type 4 hair. I have found some amazing things (henna for strength, aloe for slip etc) but NOTHING kept my hair moisturised. Been at this a year, LCO, LOC, Max Hydration etc etc etc.....then, I dared to entertain Hair Grease. Curly Chemistry has a vid on it and I was impressed so I bought me some. The BEST thing I have done for my hair hands down. Now, that being said, I do prefer all natural products because of the toxins that seep into the blood stream, its important to keep these to a minimum, however, I spray some vegetable glycerin mixed with purified water into my hair for the moisture and seal with Blue Magic. I haven't had to moisturise for DAYZZZZZ. My hair is soft and has amazing movement and hang time!
    I cant believe it, I would have to moisturise EVERY single day and night with LCO and LOC, my hair would be crunchy and never retain moisture. This is the answer. I will try your tip and add an oil, perhaps even some herbs to the grease but for now, I am so grateful, its cheap and it works!!!

      Hey Ms. London! Lol I'm so happy to hear that you found something that works! Being natural is a blessing and a headache all in one. The struggle! lol...but trying out "old school" products has helped my hair flourish....as well as being a "lazy" natural... I don't do many hair styles. I keep it simple and tend to go for hairstyles that last for at least a week. Hair grease has helped me make it possible to not have to moisturize throughout the week. Enjoy the journey!!!!! I'm so happy you found my page ❤ thank you for your comment!

    Your hair is beautiful! I too use grease, dax hair food plus 4 and I have type 4 hair as well. I also noticed a decrease in single strand knots. I absolutely love grease and won't stop using it.

      @@LinzeyLiNO I absolutely love it. It's the only hair grease I've found after so much research that doesn't have oils formulated in it(it only contains vitamin e oil)because I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis and only contains 9-10 ingredients I can pronounce. Dax is a good brand and I encourage you to try it out.

      do you ladies spray water on your hair then the grease. My so sad my hair is so dry and my ends are so dry....I want to cry. Some people are using leave in conditioner water and then the grease..

    • @mekasmith3464
      @mekasmith3464  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ohhhh no!!!!! Have you trimmed your ends? How about deep conditioned? It's good to use heat when deep conditioning that way the deep conditioner penetrates your hair strands. That usually helps bring my hair back to life, unless it's time for a trim, then I trim and then deep condition.
      As far as the grease, I like to use it on wash day, that way my hair gets maximum hydration. After my deep conditioner, I rinse, then i immediately go in with a leave in conditioner and seal in the moisture with my grease or oil. As a good rule to follow, make sure you wash your hair once a week, if possible, when using grease because your hair will dry out of left unwashed for extended periods of time. Remember, grease is a sealant, once its applied to the hair, the moisture underneath stays for a little while, but no additional moisture will be able to get into your hair until it is cleansed. I hope this helps 🙂

      @@mekasmith3464 ..OMG you have saved me. Thank you so much for helping me. I have being doing everything wrong. I went natural and it's a lot of work. I'm also protein sensitive and my hair hates coconut anything. I'm still trying to find a leave in conditioner and a deep conditioner where I can sit under my drier. My hair hates Queen Helen and Neutrogena triple moisture is discontinued.

      @@michelleapple1214 you're welcome! I'm glad I could help. I undertsand your frustration. My hair HATES coconut oil as well. I use TGIN and mielle organics deep conditioners. I don't use anything with coconut oil...or aloe vera..my hair will turn into a dessert if I use aloe or coconut anything in it🤦🏾‍♀️ your main goal is to get your hair as moisturized as possible and then progress to trying to figure out what sealant would work best for you. It's good that you use a hooded dryer to deep condition, have you tried a steamer? That may be more beneficial for you, since it sounds like you have low porosity hair.

    The ingredients in hair grease is not unhealthy... If that was the case our hair would not grow.....The petroleum used in hair bread did very refine....
