    This is the length I expected in 2024😍 I’ve been taking good care of my hair since August 2022 and it’s august 2023 and I’ve definitely noticed growth and health. I neglected my hair in the past because I’m young but one day I decided to learn how to do it on my own with my mama’s help and it’s been great ever since.

    • @l_m_minecraft_roblox9918
      @l_m_minecraft_roblox9918 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I'm 10 with curly hair and we get frustrated because you can't do as much with curly hair, annoying to do,and your hair will look so short no matter how long you let it grow out. Its shrink edge

    • @Cindy99765
      @Cindy99765 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@l_m_minecraft_roblox9918 Curly hair may take longer to style, but it is so beautiful. There's Alicia Keys, Shakira, Oprah, and many others. People with straight hair sometimes wish they had Curly hair which is why they sometimes curl it or give it waves. Do you know what your hair type is? Google "hair type chart" and find which matches your own hair and you can then look up styles on TH-cam for that type. With shrinkage, you could use the banding method, or threading to stretch. Shrinkage is also a sign that your hair is healthy, because damaged Curly hair looks straight and weak.

      @@lailaalanna315 For me, it was the sitting down for hours and all the napping when people tried to detangle it; they would literally rip my hair. Most people do not know how to take care of curly hair, especially when I was younger, and a lot of parents want something that is manageable.

    Also, I have ADHD, and some other neurodivergence, and ultra high demand avoidance as a result. A hack that I started is kicking off my wash week on Monday/ Tuesday no later than Wednesday so that my hair is ready by Thursday/Friday shenanigans. Even though, I'm solid at turbans, and I'm getting faster and cleaner in big twists, obviously letting your hair down is an experience. I break my routine up through the week and will deep condition my hair for a day or 2 to emotionally prep myself to knock out the hardest part. Starting the process.
    Hope this helps.

    My hair is different types too but I do not know which. It is similar to how you describe your own hair and how it does tske a lomg time to detangle, absorb a lot of moisture but does not always retain it or look dry and can dry fast in some area but not in other parts of my head unless it is in large twist or braids. So this video will help. The flaxseed and argan oil Eco might make a difference
    Other versions and products like you said, do not work or dry my hair out and counter productive to detangling and moisturizing done prior to added it into my hair. I am cery glad I came across your video.

    First time here and really impressed😍, I know you might have done a video on how to maintain curls fir a week or 2, kindly share a link if you have... my hair is almost like yours and I have been destroying it with heat and attachments then three months ago I decided to stop all of that and wear my crown and girly my hair has transformed in this past months, although still trying to find the right product for my hair and of course keeping the curls intact overnight is still a struggle for me especially when going to bed

    You explain porosity so well. Now I know I have low porosity hair because my hair will stay wet all day once it gets some length to it. Can I use the same products?

    ReyRey Girl, I love your channel, your personality, and your style so much! These are great tips. Thanks for taking the time to walk us through it. A few questions:
    1. When you put the Lustrasilk in the spray bottle, is it just with water? Like 30% water, 70% product, or 50:50? And this serves as your leave-in conditioner?
    2. Do you use the same products to twist your hair for a twist out?
    3. How often do you get your hair trimmed?

    I thought quickly drying hair and flakes were signs of low porosity hair. I've noticed that just some heat, like blow dryer level, opens up low porosity hair shaft better. So that after working up so much heat in your wash day, that's why it's so important to moisturize hair while its damp dripping. It's really down to a timing science like taking out popcorn or making red meat. The heat component is why I rinse product in warm water, unlike most afro hair recommendations to prolong the opening of my hair shaft to receive heat.
    I keep seeing 4c people with my hair goals using aussie so I need to try that. But also, I would switch from gel to mousse (design essentials has bomb mousses) cause gel is known to cause flaking too. My acne drastically reduced with the switch and my hair started flourishing with more mousse and oil combos (sometimes one without the other), so I can also imagine what damage gel might be doing instead of helping.
