- Steve's Prince of Steaks debuted in Wildwood on April 20, filling the space once held by Classic Sandwiches at 2701 New Jersey Ave. Plans for this new cheesesteak joint were revealed last year at the intersection of New Jersey and Juniper Ave.
Their opening day saw them closing early due to selling out of food, signaling a strong start. Ever since, they've become a hit on the island.
We swung by for a quick tour and review. Share your thoughts with us!

Russo's kicks ass with everything 👍
Used to love Russos, not anymore. Quality has gone significantly down hill
@@WJK184 agreed
A good cheesesteak place next to a Liquor store is like printing money, ha
Lol. Was thinking the same thing. Especially if they stay open later then 8pm
Looks great! But A&LP will always have be heart for incredible pizza and amazing cheesesteaks.
A&LP has gone slightly downhill - less meat and day old rolls
@@stever1791 damn, that's disappointing to hear.
@@WJK184 I'been to A&LP severl times in the past 2 years. One or 2 times ( very good) a few times ( Not so good )
I’m not sold on them, very inconsistent, never going know what you’re going get. It’s like the Forest Gump of sandwich 🥪 shops.
Steve's steaks .....extra whiz with....my all time favorite.....beats any hands down...these people that don't like Steve's probably prefer lettuce and tomato on their cheesesteaks ....jabronis
I’ll try when I come in for the summer 👍🏼
Thank you Joey for the info ❤
good to see you Joey
Watched the video. Great to have a new steak shop in Wildwood. Did notice the roll is huge and that they don’t chop up the steak like we do here in Philly. Looking
forward to buying it and trying it for the real experience.
Marinuccis needs a comeback
Have been to Steve's Prince of Steaks on Bustleton Avenue & Comly Road locations in Northeast Philly. Very good cheese steaks. Can remember back in the 1960's we tried several times to find good cheese steaks on the boardwalk. Disappointed every one we tried even at places that had great pizza. Like another person posted Al& P ( across from Vegas diner ) has great pizza & cheese steaks but often takes halve a hour.
Gotta get the cherry soda
Ahh. YES!!!!
Joey, wish we had smellovideo. Frying steaks has a great smell ! That 1 sandwich is enough for 2.
Love Steve’s they need one thing to cut the thing in half
You should stop into Mudhen Monday 630 check out the new trivia night they have down there good times
Wow ! Can't believe them prices up yonder !
I get a pizza steak down here in Florida on a 12" Amorosa roll for $8.99 and they use shaved rib-eye steak ! The guy that makes them is from South Jersey.
Oh, and I never ate sandwiches on the beach when up yonder on a windy day because you end up with a REAL
SANDwich ! YEEEESCH !
That cheese steak really looked good though !
Thank you I know this summer when I visit wildwood. I’ll stop there. What street is it on
26th and New Jersey
Giving Tony Luke's some competition .... Love Tony lukes .. might have to try the prince when Im in town
Russo's is head and shoulders above any other cheesesteak on the island
I like Mr. D’s steak sandwiches with fried onions, and provolone. Also prefer my steak sandwich chopped up
Thanks Joey. Have you tried the cheesesteaks at Shoobies in NWW? They do a good job.
Shoobies is gone :-(
AAAH...This place is by my favorite breakfast place Duffers!!
Steaks look great and will try them but I like my steak chopped up with the onions and cheese
Looks like a Steak Um
Is it by the beach
Nope
Is there a parking lot ?
No
Cheese with 😃
Is this place in North or wildwood
Juniper and NJ aves In Wildwood
Correction it’s their fifth location ever, that I’m aware of. Center city location didn’t last at 16 and Samson
I had Steve’s Prince of Steaks in Langhorn Pa. And to me the steaks were Dry and not so much of a taste.. My Opinion but will try them when I come down over the summer
Kevin, the one I got today was dry.
Russo's can't be beat for cheesesteaks.
needs sauce and mushrooms there Joey
Hot spot
Cheesesteaks and gyros
👍🏼👍🏼
Will try when I am down this year.
Ordered a cheesesteak and fries - both very underwhelming. Very little onions or cheese and they upcharge for absolutely everything. Tried to charge us $2.50 for water in a cup because they were out of plastic bottled water. I found Steves version in Philly to be much better experience.
Looks like a bread sandwich
I have to say Steve’s is great, I’ve had them in Philly, but Russo’s is hands down the best in the Wildwoods.
Where's the sauce?
It’s under the cheese lol
It needs more cowbell
Would have helped if you told us where it is.We stay down in the Crest, and it would have to be worth the trip if it's in North Wildwood.
Provolone cheese, onions, mushrooms, peppers, and marinara sauce.
That's a Cheesesteak?? High quality meat?? Nothing else to be said 😮😮😮
Want some steak with that bread?
No peppers or onions WTF
Russo's will not being losing a customer here! Your picture is very deceiving; I wasn't looking for a sandwich as big as you had but mine was a fraction of the size/meat. Rather bland and dry; not as good as I remember from the Philly store.
Maybe it was an off day for them? I only gave my option on my experience. Maybe they are working though some first days trials
@@WildwoodVideoArchivehad it other day. One of the worst cheesesteaks I’ve ever had. Very little onions, meat and cheese.
Russo's is the world's worst for a steak sandwich.
looks better in phillly
Russo's is Best in Wildwood! Steve's is too thick and tough
Is this a franchaise ? I find Franchaise' are so trying to make a profit , that they make a lousy product. 5% of revenues usually goes back to the corporate headquarters . I'll look into this - because Steve's is a great Steak Sandwich
No it’s not a franchise
@@AsaphContractors that good news - Thanks
That's a lame looking cheese steak bro.
Try mayo on it next time. Won't be disappointed.
Get rid of the dog beach!!!
why is that? I love that beach and so does my dog!
Russo's is the best
We’re vegan… so meh…
The Bread is good!
To much talking get to the review!!
Funny. Other people said too much review and more talking
Are those slabs of steak instead of minute steak? Eeeewwwwww, Are they from philly?.....seriously? Aaawwww NO!....disgusting. You have no clue
They use ribeye. They slice on deli meat slicer
Obviously you have no clue. Sliced ribeye is not some cheap steak. Like these other idiots that like a cheap frozen crap steak chopped up with a bunch shit on it and think that’s good. Lol
You being paid to endorse them? Because the general consensus is the steaks are underwhelming, and the rolls aren’t great. They aren’t even near the best around. There are many other places that make a better steak sandwich
Take it easy James, that's just a matter of your opinion! Joey is just keepin his loyal viewers informed! Thanks Joey!!!❤️😎👍👍👍
@@pitman6992 I speak for 20/30 veterans of the island that were here far long before he was even born
Ok James here is a test so I can assess your pallet 😂. Which is better? Mack’s or Sam’s pizza?
@jamestroy34 I can respect that, James! Still just other ppl's opinions, everyone's tastes are different! I've actually been wanting to try one up here in Philly, I was told they were pretty good! My son is in Cape May at the moment, I asked him 2 try it n Lmk. I'll keep u posted!!!🤣👍
@@pitman6992 I haven’t had a great cheese steak since Luigi’s shut down at Burke and pacific ave.
Looks horrible
Steve’s Prince of steaks that was in the north east Philly was cited for roaches about 10 years ago 🤷♂️
Which location in the NE?
Get on with it BLAH,BLAH,BLAH DAMN.
