The springhare you followed in Rellana's castle is actually scripted to guide you toward the rooftop loot, and then toward the waterfall passage to circle the gate. Before the DLC came out, people realized a ghost one at Zamor Ruins in the base game leads us down the safe path to the cellar there with the Bell-bearing for upgrade materials.
I finished the DLC on Wednesday with my current main character after close to 50 net playtime including a lot exploring (and dying 😊). Now I’m on the path with my other characters and I can tell you, though it’s a tough experience, it’s the usual Elden Ring or FromSoft experience. Learn the bosses adapt your attack patterns like in the main game, and every single boss will be doable. If you feel the need to summon Minime, just do it, unless you wanna be with one boss for several hours, no shame in summoning. And it gets easier on subsequent playthroughs, when you muscle memory kicks in and you remember the bosses, that destroyed you. Keep it up, can’t wait for all you amazing vids. And of course congrats to 10.000 subs!
12:26 and 12:46, did I just hear souls once again? 25:45, oh yeah the veil is so cool I felt that exploring the different legacy dungeons was harder in the DLC than in the main game. Less sites of grace and more distant, at least that's what I felt on my first playthrough. And caves are way better and longer in the DLC
😆 I get that when folks who've played Dark Souls call them souls, but if I'm not mistaken ER is her first FROMSOFT game. Then when she was playing Bloodbourne she kept slipping and calling the echoes runes 😆 I agree about the distance between graces, sometimes I'd die before finding a grace and have to start such a long way back! And then there were spots where graces were right on top of one another. I didn't understand why lol but there's just something about the sound of "touching grace" that's so satisfying to my brain 😆
Knice battle with Blackgaol Knight. It took me about 10 tries to beat him too. Couldn't resist. Farm the Black Knight armor set and located the OathSeeker Knight armor set. Balanced all attributes to level 25 except Arcane level 15. 40 Vigor, 50 Strength, and 60 Intelligence. Moonveil Katana. Located the Great Katana. Comet for range. No summon SOTE run. Can't wait to see your reaction from the Pillar view.
hi Jackie.. i appreciate how you take your time exploring as there is so much to explore.. myself im already a few hours into it but feel ive barely scratched the surface .. its a wonderous land!
I ran through the entire Castle trying to skip every enemy, the first time I opened the big gate and died. The second time I made it all the way past that big knight at the end and found the grace. Then I made my way backwards through the castle back stabbing the NPC guarding the front. Then I went back and beat Rellana on my third try because I like to cheese as much as possible. I'm one of those few weirdos that enjoys Elden ring for the exploration, to hell with the challenge.
32:00 You have the right idea at the beginning here Jackie! This is how I beat one of them! Stay behind him while on Torent, jumping to avoid the fire stomps, and just slash his feet until you finally knock him down. Then stab him in the face! Do this twice (at least for me it was twice) and you got him! 😁 Tis a lil tedious but very doable!
To perfect the strategy: do not stab in the face right after it fells to the ground. It takes a long time for these guys to recover, so before the riposte, empty at least twice your stamina bar in dual wielded or heavy attacks in the face, then take the riposte. Like that you can one-cycle them, or almost one-cycle them. Maybe it can also be a good time for black flame tornado, I did not try it.
@@Capricornhell ahhh! Good idea! I didn't realize there was such a long recovery. I usually don't have time to make on most enemies. I'm a sorcery/ ranged build until I need to be aggressive 😆 I'll try this tip on the next fire giant 2.0 I run into!
@@Kha0tic oh ok I said dual wielded and heavy attack because I always melee ennemies. And when I play magic, I use melee magic like Haima's gavel or carian slicer. So throw your most disgusting magic at them. I wonder if spiral shard multi-hit them... I think black flame tornado on a short spear two or three times and the final with Miséricorde must do insane damage. But there are surely more optimized stuff to do, I only played the DLC once, I know there are broken weapons and magic, but I don't know them yet.
@@Capricornhell yeah! Tons of "broken" strats! I just wanna get through the DLC 😆 I'M looking to try a bleed build, or maybe a frost buildup build... there's tons of options since my level is 450 (13 scadutree) NG+ (is ng+ consider 2 or 1?) I'm clueless 🤣
10:37 Oh yeah, the Kodamas! 😌 Also, I'm convinced that the Elden Beast is inspired by the Spirit of the Forest from Princess Mononoke, and I'm going to die on that hill. I love that movie. For me, it's one of Miyazaki's best works (I mean, the other Miyazaki 🗿). 46:40 Yep, and I'm still on my first run 😆 But hey, the most important thing is to have fun, right?. There's no rush!. Just have fun, go wherever you want, play at your own pace and that's it 😄 And speaking of which, I'm curious, how are you finding the DLC and how have you found the difficulty so far? I've heard all kinds of opinions, though I'd really like to hear yours. Anyway, thanks for this episode, Jackie. You are doing amazing! :) P.S. Just a little tip: remember that Scadutree Fragments are the items with which you can level up your attack and defense in the DLC (kind of like the upgrade system in Sekiro). So yeah, they are important 👀😬 P.S2. 49:50 Okay, I think now I need to watch a video at least 3 hours long explaining the lore of why that dude can teleport like that 🤯 (being a bug is not an answer for me, I want to believe!).
@_axis_ 49:50 🤣 this part was hilarious! When I encountered it I kinda heard the old 90s X-Men cartoon theme music playing! Almost thought I saw Beast or maybe Nightcrawler jumping around! Dude was a super powered mutant! And I bet he has blue skin! 😂
Loving the dlc, although being two-shoted by almost everything was a bit frustrating at the beginning. After finding more of the scadutree blessings it gets a bit more manageable ("a bit" being the crucial word).
Isn’t the worst mechanic ever when ur getting lucky on a difficult enemy, then right when u think “ok I got him down to half I can do this!” Yay! He casually pulls out a flask and sips heavenly tasty health from it 😂. SMH 😡

That anime jump! Also on foot is definitely the fastest way to drop a furnace golem.

49:45 in all my years I've never seen it anything like that. That guy had hulk-like jumping abilities
He did the jumpy jumpy.
This boss was a really good tutorial boss for the DLC.

Jup the grace was just up ahead.. past the big guy :) I died to alot on that little run haha

Great victory over the blackgaol knight.
Btw, that last Messmer knight blocks the way to a site of grace.
Elden Ring, as difficult and as frustrating as it may at times be...I find it cathartic to watch you play it. ☺
Great last fight against Blackgaol Knight :)
13:24 Kinda like Alecto all over again, eh? 😜😆 22:46 You fought well though Jackie! This knight was my very first major victory in this DLC!

I’ve been enjoying the DLC it’s such a nice contrast from the main game, hope your doing well! 🤗
Yes, take your time with the playthrough. No need to rush.
1:06:40 Well, the skull probably doesn't mind anymore. XD
I have played for 580 hours and not found that painting. That is why this game is amazing. There is always something you have not found.

Deleted my saves and restarted because the giants forge made both of my saves stuck in the same world with only 2 npcs. And I missed a lot of stuff.
Well done with the Blackgoal Knight! I tried maybe 5 or 6 times and decided to come back later😂 Just too slow and tanky with my build

hard game....catacomps sucks.........=)
