In case you don't know this is actually based on an old and very long Chinese epic called Journey to the West. One of my favorite stories of all time and there are a lot of movies based on it too. The game basically takes place after the end of the book and Sun Wukong was one of the main characters in it. Alot of the characters you meet and fight were in the story in some way or another
The "Game of the Year" that is never gonna be game of the year for political reasons. In case you wonder - only because the developerss focused on creating a great story based on Chinese culture, and not on promoting diversity instead. Therefore it got excluded from the awards. I never heard from Wukong before playing this game as well, and it gave me a whole new, age old franchise to explore.
That looks better than I thought it was. I don't have time for this game but I will enjoy watching you work your way through it. Thanks for taking this one on!
to explain some backstory about what happened to wukong: in the original story, wukong had a headband placed on him by heaven called "the encaging band." the encaging band could be activated to punish him by giving him immense pain if he disobeyed. he got the headband taken off physically at the end of the original story, but in this game it seemingly remains magically attached to him and is able to be activated despite it not being physically on his head
A lot of times u have to really know the right time to use ur transformations. And use it to inflict as much damage as fast as u can before it runs out. Js. Or even if u are about to die . Hurry n transform because u wont take damage, only ur transformation will. Also when someone shoots arrows at u all u have to do is hold L2
Few things for ur playthru... sprint is R1 which I'm sure you've figured out. U can also charge ur focus attack in that stance (smash) while running. Use ur sparks to upgrade things to fit ur playstyle, if u dnt use it, dnt stress it. This game has a shit ton of bosses and most of them are hidden, u may need a guide to find them. There are 2 endings, the regular ending and the "good one". To achieve the regular ending u just have to beat the game. To get the good one, u have to defeat all secret area bosses for chaps 1 thru five, I recommend goin after the good one. It's the only way to unlock all 6 relics. It may seem hard for now but if u can get past chap 1, then you'll eventually figure the rest of the game out. Good luck, can't wait to see the rest of ur playthru. There's alot more I could say but I dnt wanna ruin the game for u. I'm on my 5th playthru now, I'm obsessed lol.
So, the big blue guy is called the “Wandering Wight” and you definitely want to beat him before you beat the secret boss of this chapter (you fight him after ringing 3 bells). I had to look up multiple strategy guides online in order to beat the big blue guy, so don’t beat your head against the wall too hard. He’s there to be a roadblock to new players, but you got this. If I can beat this game, you can too!
I feel that the costumes in this video are particularly beautiful, and it's clear that they were prepared with care. It's really great to have such a wonderful viewing experience. I wish your video continues to improve

Erlang shen (the guy with the third eye on his forehead) is one of the few that can challenge sun wukong himself and its said he has 73 transformations and of course there are similarities in the game, if you watched dragon ball the old series goku will be see on a flying cloud as how you see here wukong at the very beginning and sun wukong has stacked immortality so much that it takes a long time to kill him, wukong ate the peach of immortality something like that, the wine in heaven that's for immortality and when he went to hell he erased his name and got immortality for that too which is why at the beginning of the fight there's no health bar because you're immortal
This is a war god game with moderate difficulty. There is no punishment for death, and resetting attributes does not require any cost.Learning only one stick technique in the early stages, while learning multiple stick techniques at the same time, can lead to a serious shortage of DPS.
Hope you enjoy the game. But please be reminded to go back for the Big Head boss. Aftet beating him, you will get a strong useful spirit that help you to beat the game eventually

Ok, Jackie, the trick of this game is if your attack is heavy enough, the enemy will be shocked and may fall like the baby head, crying instead of attacking you. So, how do you make your attack heavier? Use your sparks wisely to increase the "focus point." Your sparks can always be rearranged. Use them immediately rather than think about it. You have enough spark now to make 3 focus points, and it's heavy enough to knock down the baby head every time; he can only cry about it rather than attack you; remember, do not heavily attack him when he is immobilized; spin attack to gain focus points. Do the same with your wolf; baby head would never have a chance.

You have to use transformation when you start fighting with a boss (so the transformation spell regenerated lately during the fight, which helps you from dying when you use it again)

there was also an old tv show inspired by this story called "monkey magic".. it had somewhat of a cult following because of campy fun it was :)
