out of every boss he's fought, Prime Rahdahn is the only boss to make jev actually put on a helmet.

Can we show some love for the absolute legend that is Sir Ansbach. Bloody badass saw right through Miquella’s manipulative bullshit & tried to free Mohg from his enchantment. Once the great rune is destroyed & the spell broken, he gets right back on the path to deicide. He respects and fights alongside you to the bitter end, and hails you as one worthy of becoming a Lord.

If you haven't seen it yet look up one of the death animations from the fight where miquella charms the player and you lose your will to fight. It's exactly like what you talk about at the end of the video with miquella charming others and effectively taking control over their will

You’re spot on at the end. I believe Miquella is also controlling Radahn. In his second phase cutscene; he starts glowing the red aura, which might be his true self, his lust for war, since he’s being given a proper fight, a good battle, or perhaps Mohg coming through due to Radahn being weakened, but as soon as Miquella comes through, as a deity now; the red aura, slowly turns gold, like Miquella’s unalloyed gold.

Miquella's "Gentler world" according to the Miquella's cut ending from the base game was called "The Age of Abundance" where "the graceful and the not-so-graceful, shall flourish"
Miquella was the only demigod we know of who showed sympathy and didn't discriminate against Demi-Humans, Misbegotten, Albanaurics, Pesti, and Hornsent/Omens.
Basically Miquella is Reverse Griffith; he has objectively genuinely noble and righteous intentions, to make the world a better place for everyone, but has *atrocious* methods and optics.
His cut Great Rune from the base game in Japanese also was called "The Rune of Abundance" which read (also in Japanese, roughly translated); "The Great Rune of Miquella, The Unalloyed. tl;dr Miquella isn't moral, but he definitely is not "evil", unless you also consider our player character evil for maintaining an atrocious status quo in all but 2 of the endings.

I would dispute this by virtue of Miquella discarding St. Trina, his kinder other half who literally begs us to kill him at the very end. St. Trina knows what Miquella is doing is wrong - and by extension Miquella *himself* knows that what he's doing is completely bonkers and yet he goes through with it anyway.
When you think of it that way, you can't even blame Miquella being cursed to eternally having the mind of a child. Somewhere in the back of his mind he is viscerally aware of what he's doing and yet, for reasons that we are never made aware of (a black mark against the game, IMHO), he plows ahead and commits all manner of irredeemable sin. I honestly don't know how you can look at all that and not conclude that Kindly Miquella is a unique kind of evil.
Also, yeah you're spot on. W/ maybe 2 exceptions we're a pretty horrific main character. Aside from raw ambition, we never even really have a motive for wanting to be Elden Lord at all. It's kinda screwed up.
The lore here is that miquella actually controlled mohgs mind and used him to get to the realm of shadow so that he could use mohgs body and radahns soul to revive radahn after we kill him in the festival. The plan all along was to use mohgs body as a vessel for radahn so that miquella could also charm radahn and use him as his tool for control. We litterally spawn killed radahn

So the reason that Radahn is here: When radahn is killed during the festival his soul is sent to the shadow lands (which is why melania originally went there to kill him, the thing she whispers to him in the trailer is "Miquella awaits thee, promised consort) Using radahns soul and Mohgs corpse, miquella was able to revive radahns soul and bring back a prime radahn to be his consort

@XxWolfxWaRioRxX the ash comes out fast enough and has a fast enough recovery to use in most openings during a boss fight and lowers the hit box of the player after the move hits.
I myself used s big ass shield and a blood kata with my mimic… idc what people say .. i played the dlc in ng+2 and it was the most enjoyable torture of my live … until radhan … that mofo kept me busy for 6 hours
It’s not that bad if u use fast weapons,I use double uchigatanas and it was quite an enjoyable fight,I can fully understand the frustration if u use colossal weapons though😂

Jev plays these games. That assessment isn't exactly fair. He has good battle sense and has an eye for telegraphs. He is pretty good even with a brain dead build. The fact he dodged alot of radahns moves first try is a testament to his skill.

The reason why he’s alive, is because Miquella rescued his soul and placed it in Mohg’s body (which is why there’s horns).
Also, you were 100% correct on what the order would be like under Miquella. He does want to make the world a gentle place, but will only do so by enchanting everybody. Nobody is allowed to have their own free will. To think for themselves, to have their own opinions. Everyone would become a puppet to Miquella. And there’s also hints that Radahn actually did not accept the offer to become consort. War is something Radahn lives for.
Also, who's to say his age of compassion would really work considering how he cast aside his "love." At the Miquella Cross where his love was cast away, there's a ghost there who says something along the lines of, "You cast aside that which you should never have done. How can you save others if you cannot save your other half," that other half being St. Trina (who urges us to kill Miquella because godhood would suit him ill).
You can't really have true compassion without some sort of love, so what would Miquella's reign of compassion truly offer if he had no love to give or feel?
Honestly though if the people didn’t kniw they lost their real free will and everyone lives a perfect life then that doesn’t sound too bad. I would be stoked to live like that, yet I have to go to work and deal with annoying shit constantly 😂
If you're confused about the lore, the gate needs three things to bring forth a god. A lord soul, a vessel and the person who becomes a themselves. In this case we have Radahn's soul, Mogh's body and Miquella himself. Miquella somehow fused Radahn's soul and Mogh's body (vessel) to bring forth his godhood and now he can become the elden lord as he's a god and the reborn radahn is his consort.

No way he didn't see playthroughs of the final boss. How do you know when to go in and when to dodge? Like if a boss is doing 8 attacks in a row, how did you know to dodge precisely 8 times and that he would be done and to attack. That's something you learn while fighting the boss, not on a first attempt. I call bull..

So I finally figured out when you accidentally put out those extra R2 swings, it's a bug they're working on.
If Jev didn’t watch any lore videos, he perception of the story is pretty spot on
yeah ngl, those tick tokers were a little bit right, i remember watching the messmer fight and thinking, damn, jev is so in-tune with the telegraphed moves that its like hes fought him before. I think this is an example of how jev is just better, like he whole rant about how hes just better than you, thats cut and dry, his first boss runs look like the average players runs after a couple hours of learning the dodge timings.

So tldr on how Radahn is alive: Miquella orchestrated all of the conflict in Caelid when Malenia fight Radahn. He instructed her to kill Radahn but she failed. Radahn was to be his consort when he tries to rise to godhood, and he charmed Mohg into doing whatever mohg did in lore so that Miquella could even get to the land of shadow. Mohgs corpse was then taken as a vessel and his soul was replaced with Radahns which was freed when we killed him.

Suggestion, if Jev needs ideas for future videos there is always the dark souls games 1-3
Radahn got me so good. What got me through it was light load dodges to dodge roll further to better avoid the light beams in the second phase. Also constantly circling him in the second phase helped so much with avoiding the light ray attacks.😅 besides that the second phase moveset is very similar timing to the first phase.
It’s fine we don’t get 30 minute long videos, this 20 minutes of suffering is more than enough for me 👍

i started my 2nd playthrough in the last few days, knowing where the scadu frags are in advance makes it a completely diff experience, bosses that took 2-4 hours are taking 1-3 tries

I saw that tiktok where people accused Jev of "practicing messmer beforehand" and tbh a lot of them are just insecure that someone can first try a boss that they struggle on, I personally beat Messmer on my 4th attempt on NG+4.

To answer your question of how Radhan is alive in the DLC Jev, let's just say after we killed Mohg, Miquella used his body as a vessel for Radhan's soul. And in return it not only brought him back to life, but also restored him back to his prime, with some of Mohg's powers.
