    These sort of videos are the reason why I am still subbed to The Verge. None of that iOS BS. I'm not gonna look for no phone/tablet review on here. But with features like these, the big future etc I'm definitely sticking around. At the end of the day, let's face it the quality of their production is unparalleled.

    California and New York will more than likely require you to get a license to ride this since it is non human powered. The Fact California wanted to force people to get a license to ride a bicycle means this will not fly in tyrannical states.

    I can understand how people think that these are useless for you can just use a regular longboard, but these boards go faster and I think some allow you to ride them like a regular skateboard when their battery runs out. Also, you gotta admit, the board that imitates snowboarding is pretty damn cool, there is no other skateboard like that.

      This is meant for commuting not tricks.
      It's faster than pushing so why would you opt for a non-motorized skateboard/longboard if you were looking for a commuting board?
      If you want to do tricks you, of course, get the regular one.

    3:15 skating for over a decade but still caught doing a mall grip

    • @fashnek
      @fashnek 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you note the shape of the board, the grip is very difficult in the other position due to the heavy bulging battery housing on the top and the motors on the bottom. It's more natural to keep weight toward the center of gravity and reduce wrist bend. This isn't your skateboard, the trucks aren't the heavy part, and the board isn't thin.

    If any of you longboarded you'd know how unnecessarily the motor is. It makes it much much heavier, defeating the lightweight travel purpose. The longboard itself is already more than sufficient for traveling short to mid distances.. I can hit 25km/hr on flats EASILY.

      Kim Rene Mossige jo det er ulovlig, men de vanlige politifolka ol. tenker ikke over det. så lite sannsynlig at du blir tatt. men hvis du blir tatt, får man seg en bot.

    • @kimmossige263
      @kimmossige263 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hvordan vet du at det er ulovlig? Jeg finner ingen paragrafer på det. Jeg har lett ganske mye etter det selv. Har også sendt mail til politiet om det, men de greide ikke gi meg et skikkelig svar.

    • @MrXxsuper
      @MrXxsuper 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      har sett flere steder at det er sagt at det er ulovlig, blant annet har både NRK og TV2 sagt det når det har vært snakk om elektrisk drevende fartøy. hvet ikke om det er noe direkte lov mot akkurat det, men det tror jeg heller ikke det var mot Segway før det ble godkjent heller. kan godt hende lovene er litt spesifikke.
      det kan godt hende det er derfor politiet ikke greier å gi et ordentlig svar på det.

I always wanted to get into snowboarding but live in Arizona sooo not gonna happen anytime soon. however with the leaf board, it would probably let me get the hang of snowboarding while still being on pavement. Very,very, cool stuff.

    Put these motors in a briefcase and I would buy it. Especially when you have to go from Gate A to Gate Z on an Airport, it would be easier for businessmen to ride on their briefcases. Unlock the briefcase with your smartphone, enter the destination in it, stand on your briefcase and drive/skate to your desired Gate.
