    Very nice stock truck! Thanks for bringing it back. Perhaps some junkyard accessories from the GM parts bin? An Oldsmobile Bravada might have some power seats and other bits.

      I like that its basic ill probably leave it a rear defroster would be nice but would be a pain to run the wiring thats why I threw that air deflector on it. Which in the toad that back window stays Clean with that on its amazing how good those work.

      Old GM tended to use the same exact wire harnesses for each model regardless of the options installed. You might find the wire taped up inside.

      @@ryanfoster9863 yeah maybe but the wires for the rear defroster go threw the body itself and there's no holes so id have to drill it and all that ill live without it I have before ha

    Fond memories for me, owned and dailied 92 S10, 4.3L TBI not Vortec, for 21 years, bought used 8 years, sold in 2021 as a working vehicle with 394K in miles at the time of selling, still around as I sold it to a neighbor, still like this thing a LOT and still runs nice

    • @SethsBudgetBuilds
      @SethsBudgetBuilds  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow thats a lot of miles I assumed there engine is still original?

    • @raychat2816
      @raychat2816 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Original engine,Yes, however the counter did stop in 2016 when I had the transmission changed because that second gear was just slipping, I don’t know how much I drove it between that time and the time I sold it, but a compression test in early 2021 showed that things were still good with the engine, that it was worth mending if u wish, also I live on the other side of the planet from the States, so getting parts or an engine for that matter is not as easy, still new owner plans on putting in a 350 when the 4.3 dies because they’re easier to find here, but from the look of things it’s still doing rather well 😃, American cars and parts aren’t exactly the cheapest around here, but I do admit that almost 400K in miles means I was lucky to get a gem of an engine to begin with AND I didn’t beat the crap out of it … I love that thing

      @@raychat2816 that's awesome yeah the 4.3 get alot of smack talked on it but if you do your maintenance and make sure to do your intake gasket before it becomes an issue they run a really long time. The intake gasket is what killed this engine old owner didn't catch it in time. But I managed to save this engine so thats awesome 👌

    • @melmen2379
      @melmen2379 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SethsBudgetBuilds what happens if the intake gasket fails? Or is this a regular something that has to be done in between a certain amount of mikes?

    • @SethsBudgetBuilds
      @SethsBudgetBuilds  ปีที่แล้ว

      @melmen2379 the intake gasket is a common issue with a 4.3. Usually the signs they are bad are leaking oil bad or your engine will start to burn coolant and will shoot white smoke out the exhaust and it eventually get in the oil and ruines bearings if not replaced in time. this blazers case it was burning coolant and a bunch got in the pan and took out bearings.

      You gonna keep it stock? I have the 4.3 and honestly not very impressed I had a misfire and redid electrical ie. My ign.coil wires plugs and distributor not it runs smoother but I did have to make some degree adjustments on the distributor. What was that wire you were mentioning under the passenger foot panel associated with computer and timing?

    • @justinmooring5581
      @justinmooring5581 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also how critical is degree advance or retard and how do I know the exact degree I'm at currently? Seems like you mentioned that in one of your videos. Or maybe that was saabkyle.

    • @SethsBudgetBuilds
      @SethsBudgetBuilds  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Imma keep it stock its for the vortec 4.3 they run good enough. And to set timing on them you have to unplug a one wire plug under the carpet on the passenger side its like where your feet are. Unplug it start it and set the timing at like 0 to 2 degrees then shut it off and plug that wire back in that wires for the computer to adjust the timing and you'll never get it set with it plugged in
