At the very end of the radiator episode my son gives the wheel sizes. I think they’re wider than stock. I can’t remember what they are, and I think the backspacing is the same as stock. I’ll have to check with him, but he’s in Europe right now and there’s a time change. I’ll have to wait till tomorrow.
Did you have any interference issue with the Dewitt's radiator? The one I bought for my 2005 Z51 was 3/8 inch wider and just would not fit without interference.
Hello John ,Great Video once Again ! Do using Bilstein shocks on my C-3 corvette will it change the Height of Corvette ?? Please let me know ? Thanks Again
@@itsmebryan I like the lines on the 2014 C7, but it’s an automatic. The 2007 C6 is a 6 speed manual and much more fun to drive. In addition, the C7 is a premier edition, Lime Rock Green, with only 8k miles.
@Jaygastelum-qv1ek I going to get a manual. I plan on using it for a fun weekend getaway car. Not tracking or anything like that. Just for the wife and I. I'm replacing a 2008 Solstce GXP manual and Im looking for a reliable 2 seater. Are the seats really that much better in the C7 compared to the C6?
@@itsmebryan maybe a little. I forgot to mention, my C7 is a Z51 with mag ride suspension, fully loaded at 460hp. Only 550 made, mine is #32 off the production run.
If it’s really in that good of shape, probably. I would pay any more than that. My son’s car was a mess and we spent thousands on it and he paid $20k. But he HAD to have that color! I don’t think they’re gonna get any cheaper for a while.
@@raylewis3073 Yeah, be sure to check your rear tire clearance. These cars aren’t perfect. He had one tire 1/2” closer to the wheel opening than the other side. There’s no adjustability with the transaxle bolts loose either. We tried it.
I have a 2008 Z51 Corvette. It has 26,000 mi;es. The light for "check fuel system" came on and the gas gauge reads empty. The delear said that it will cost about $1900 to repair since they have to remove te gas tank o do so. What a rip off..I will never ever buy another GM Vehicle !
Your car is almost 17 years old with 26,000 miles. It’s been sitting for years. Not a GM problem at all. Any car would be susceptible to this. DO NOT let a Chevy dealer to this job. Take it to somewhere that specializes in corvettes and also have them rebuild torque tube and change clutch (if it’s a 6sp). Quit bitching
I wish I had a dad that would work on my car! I had to do all my stuff myself, good work dad!
Thanks 👍
Okay. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much for the update👍🏼
You are very welcome!
Beautiful car. Im digging the orange
Thanks!!
👍 TY!! . . . YOU ~ ROCK ! !
Thanks!
Super interesting custom work!
Thanks!! I appreciate it!
I like the wheels a lot!
Thanks!
I think you got a lemon on your hands. I have a 2008 z51 with none of the problems you’ve experienced.
I think it was just abused and not maintained. But it was a good price for great paint and solid interior.
Could you share the wheel sizes and backspacing? Looks great on the car!!

I just bought a 2007 base model a few months ago. I really like the fitment of your wheels and tires. What are their sizes?
Not sure off hand, but they’re 18” Element SC rims. I just googled the stock tire size for them and got the same size.
Did you have any interference issue with the Dewitt's radiator? The one I bought for my 2005 Z51 was 3/8 inch wider and just would not fit without interference.
Nope. Fit perfect and had all the proper mounts for the fan and condenser.
Looks like you may have an issue with your rear brake pads, they shouldn't leave a ring around the rear rotor like that. Could they be too small?
The car was abused and poorly taken care of. We’re on it.

No, it won’t change the ride height, as long as you make sure you get the proper shocks for your application.
Thanks John ! Yes they are the proper application for my Vette ! Great Job on your Son's Corvette !!
Hi, I'm on the fence between C6 and C7. You have driven both back to back. What is your opinion on both.
Hey Bryan, I have both. A 2007 C6 standard and a 2014, Z51 C7 automatic. I like to drive my C6 better.. jay
@Jaygastelum-qv1ek I was wondering why the C6 and are the both autos?
Thanks

Do you think 24k is a good deal for a 2008 z51 with 56 thousand miles. It’s in excellent shape and 2 owners

What size are those wheels
Front - 18x8.5
Offset - +56
Backspacing - 6.45”
Rear - 19x10
Offset - +79
Backspacing - 8.1”
Bolt pattern - Standard 5x4.75” or
Metric - 5 x120.65
Thanks they really fit well and complete the look of a really nice sports car
