episode 5-9 in vinland saga season 1 was all identical too but its to be expected, this manga was written with the express mission of making a shounen which doesn't glorify violence or treat it nonchalantly and this arc is the culmination of that goal, so there's going to be alot of non violent episodes and the violent episodes we will see will not be seen in a glorious light.
Finally, someone who mentions the mannerisms of Snake being super similar to Askeladd, with the talking and yawning styles. I haven't even seen that many comments (if any) mentioning it.
While the two can be prepared. I dont think that was the point of that scene. I feel that moment was meant to say Fox wasnt a real threat or a warrior worth respecting.
Maybe in the sense they are both confident fighters. But the way they live their lives is vastly different. Askeladd had a drive and a purpose and used far more diplomacy then weve seen snake use.
@@nullakjg767 I wasn't saying that they are both identical characters, the point of my comment was to point out how under-mentioned the similarity of their mannerisms are, even the way Snake called his men stupid while eating, the tone he says it is almost identical to when Askeladd calls Thorfinn stupid for not being able to kill him, after the duel they had post Bjorn duel. I know full well that they are most likely quite different in terms of leadership/lives/purpose and that the "vision" thorfinn saw of Askeladd when Snake swung at him was simply to point out that Snake and Askeladd were somewhat on the same level (At least combat wise perhaps, or he simply has a similar vibe, I don't know Snake's power level yet), hence, earning that reaction from Thorfinn.
@@DreadedLad88 I know that wasn't the point of that scene, the point of my comment was to point out the similarities of Askeladd and Snake in terms of mannerisms. Y'know, that aloofy Askeladd when he's putting on an act, or simply not being serious, or trying to get a reaction out of Thorfinn.
That moment with Pater patching up Thorfin and Einar saying to Thorfin that he should say "Thank you" confuses some people.Thorfinn literally has no idea when and why to say "Thank you", he needed Einar to teach him that. And we see the mother hedgehog carrying her child and basically teaching him stuff as well. So the randoom animal there was simply a analogy. At 16:35 we see Thorfin hat learned the importance of "Thank you" and saying it back to Einar for "waking him up" which also can be interpreted in many ways. Waking him literally up from the nightmare but also showing him that there are good things that happened to him and that there is still a reason for living on.
Kinda wish the shot at the end showed Canute's scar. He'd have been more recognizable for people that way. Also, Canute's blonde eyelashes are super inconsistent, so I wouldn't look into that too much lol
It took 54 chapters to adapt the first season and the farming arc is 44 chapters long. So most of season 2 will be the farming arc, sadly, and it's very boring and uneventful with very repetitive writing. We'll probably see the beginning of the next arc in the last few episodes of the season.
"its not like you killed my family" But man thorfinn sure would have if askeladd told him hed get a duel out of it lol.
Yes, that was indeed Canute.
I mean even if they're not sure they just need to logically think "what other blonde character would warrant that kind of dramatic shot"
"Maybe there will be a timeskip, dunno how much more farm i can take"
Oof.
Yeah I love Thorfin's character development on the farm, unfortunately not a popular narrative shift for some :/
I mean, it's been so boring and static so far. Episode 2 and 3 seemed identical.

@@newtonia-uo4889 atleast Season 1 wasn’t boring as fuck and Thorfinn did something

You should watch reaction of Flimbuff if you want detailed discussion.

Anyone else notice the episode in the reflection of the play button??
13:15 wdym why? His family got killed. How would you have felt if you were in his position?
(It's almost like a type of amnesia in empathy.)
Thorfinn can take himself out of the battle but the warrior never left Thorfinn
It's interesting hearing where you think the story is gonna go. That being said, this is a very important arc
"nah , nah .... that doesn't look liek canute " .... bruh xd
the Morgan+Dani cold open 😌
4:31 como no amar a dani si hace eso uwu
6:28 que linda se ve limpiando sus lentes uwu
Was worried for a min that Sam wouldn't be in the vid😅
the finest reactors on the platform. gat!
EP 5 canute will appear
That was definitely Canute. The next episode focuses on him and it’s very very good. I love Canute’s design this season.
It was really cool seeing that little bit of spark of the old Thorfinn. The kid still has it after all these years in captivity.
👍👍👍

BOOOOOOO
Okay... get out here! All ypu want is action and violence huh? lol
Homie talking about writing with a Goku profile photo 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It’s slow, but calling it uneventful is a fuckin lie
