Condolences to Jim and his family for his mother's passing. He's right, 94 and going quickly, you can't ask for much more. This is his best video yet. There's a palpable sense of renewed energy in him. He seems so energetic and happy. It's great he gets to pass on all the knowledge he has to a protégé. Keep these coming. I love that he allows himself to accept new ideas and see how they can work with his setup. Excellent.
Someone pls tell me why I never tire of these Pete Kanaris produced Jim Kovaleski videos (now with Tanner🤗)...Someone ! (and the color & BEAUTY of that plot ! 😁🤗)
Jim and Tanner are very compatible. And the mentoring will work for both of them for a long time. Very enjoyable to see new ideas come to fruition. Looking forward to the next update.
Jim’s a Renaissance Man. Every now and then he veers off into other topics showing his well rounded knowledge. That’s great he is mentoring a younger generation.
Love the longer length videos, seeing Jim and his garden and what's growing on there. The casual tips and experience/wisdom he carries is great. Sad to hear of his mom's passing - She was always a welcome sight in these videos.
I've been market gardening for couple years now and nothing brings me more joy than watching and learning from jim who i believe is the next eliot coleman
My condolences on the passing of your Mom, Jim...the place looks amazing as always! Tanner seems to be an excellent addition to the garden and Jim. I'm looking forward to watching yall evolve! Thanks Pete! About to order myself some trees from you!
Pete I bought trees on your Black Friday sale. A moringa and a rum bay. Both were cold damaged when I received them. I contacted the correct department about the damage. Only a thin plastic bag over the boxed plants were not enough to save them even tho I added a message to insulate good. I have not heard back from your company since they suggested I give the plants time to recover. They both died and let your department know about the loss. Any thoughts on this? Love watching your informative TH-cam videos
As always I absolutely loved this video! So sorry to hear about the passing of his mother. My own mother passed this past Good Friday. So sorry for your loss Jim. Looks like you are doing very well and your life is getting much fuller! So happy for all your progress. God bless. 🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦
Loved watching as everyone was having a great time! Glad to see the two of them hitting it off, like it was meant to be! LOL, true the Florida season is short but, can't wait to watch the growth showing what truly can be done when a plan is in action! Tonight is set aside to review seed catalogs for this next season. With the backyard planted out, I'm glad that I allowed some extra space to grow inside our deer fence area. Just imagining to build a food forest inside the area that was occupied by sheep, goats, and birds for the last 3 years since they moved out. It appears that I'll be heading home to Guangxi for their National Day Festival this next Autumn; after being gone just under 3 years. May everyone have a great new year holiday !
Jim, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom crossing over. She had a great life and enjoyed having her son close for all those years. She will be missed but is certainly still watching from over yonder. Big hugs and lots of love. Let the Earth heal your heart.
Met Jim & Mom when I was visiting in NewPort Richey from Connecticut , summer of 2019 - Beautiful blue eyes & sweet spirit . I’m sure you miss her greatly - thank you Jim & Pete for these inspirational videos . The best to you on your future plans Jim .😊
The videos with Jim are the best! And now we have Tanner too! I love the way Jim gardens. It's much more attainable as us home growers. I can also appreciate what Nicknis doing but it's much less attainable for the home grower
Thanks Pete, great video. Length was no problem, always love catching up with Jim. He is so inspirational and such a good grower. Hope you all had an amazing Christmas. God bless you all. Love from Australia 🥰🙏🥑🥬🥦🧄🥒🌽🥕🥔
The guys at Sumpter Correctional in Bushnell get to watch all these Jim videos as part of their ag training. Thank you for these, Pete, and for all you are doing to promote regenerative ag.
So awesome to see Jim expanding and brining Tanner in. Pete you are an inspiration to Jim! Really looking forward to how this works out on the micro level while you are booming in the macro level. Also nice to see you featuring community with Nick in and out now Tanner, very exciting.
This is so exciting, love to see the mentor dynamic. Jim has been such a quality feature in the videos to really download that knowledge. I look forward to taking that course one day. I'm in East Africa as previously mentioned instead of working for you in FL haha, and syntropic is really really taking off here. I'm excited to start recording and getting videos up but we are trying to find the opportunity right now - farm coming though stay tuned!
Good to see Jim and welcome Tanner. I think it’s easier to have wider rows when the rows are not as long. It’s all about context of the garden. I see how it could be easier to step over a 30 inch row if it’s 25-50+ feet long. Happy New year to all🎉
Awesome video. So sorry for your loss, Jim. I was still harvesting fresh tomatoes the first week of November in my greenhouse zone 8! Green houses are the bomb.
I’m in Ontario Canada and caught on to your channel and have been binge watching The Jim K. Vids. I’ve been market gardening and just backyard Garden for 25 years now. My parents are “SnowBirds and spend the winter in St. Petersberg and have been trying to convincing me to come down that way to get into growing down there… I’m a Northerner thru and thru. Anyhow very much enjoying your content..cheers.
Hi j I've been frowning for years love all your gardening I wall ways love the way you test all your gardening frowning love your channel I've doing my gardens but what to start selling at the marcket was doing alot of lettuce Teresa south africa
We really need people like this to inspire the young ones to grow food in a healthy way. Capture the CO2 and turn it into food to feed the local population.
My deepest sympathy Jim. I lost my Mom also. You are very blessed to have had your Mom for so many years. God needed her above let her rest on earth for her job here was done. Believe you will be with her for internally with Jesus as our leader. God is pleased with your great works of the land. You got this Jim, you're hit not down 🛐✝️
For pelleted seeds in the jang are you all aware you are supposed to remove the felt lined guide plate that sits against the roller? I was having the same problem with pelleted seed before I realized that by reading instructions. It is also suggested to lift the brush when using pelleted seed.
I am watching this around midnight sitting outside. I hear the birds in the background. However It doesn't register right away. I am thinking. The birds are up kinda late. Then it dawns on me. Hello cupcake the birds are in the video. Great presentation as always. Thanks.
Great video! At 32:26 Jim talks about running salt water through his compost to make compost tea. So effectively using "c90 (sea 90?) and compost tea". Can you tell me what that means? Is there another video?
From past videos I believe he's talking about his well water which is brackish. Which worked well for some crops but they talk about the trees getting burned. Jim's learned to work with the salt overall. Hope this helps. The C90 I'm curious about too.
I honestly think you could do an episode with Jim every week, great stuff! Unfortunately nowadays only Pro athletes or movie stars are the people that are looked up to. Meanwhile, Jim is like the mad scientist of small scale farming and he's killing it. People like him should be looked up to and learned from.
That was lovely and hoping to see the rest of Jim's family when they come to visit. Must go check NPR recycle; hoping the compost is available again (is the tree snail fear over?) Jim and Tanner make a good pair.
I am a lot like Jim when it comes to how he does everything on low cost. i make my own compost, get free compost from others yard waste, i even got some free barrels that i collect water from rain in and they automatically water the gardens and greenhouses when the timer kicks on. jim helped me realize seeking out your free sources is a huge benefit.
I've been going through these comments just to find the name of it, lol! - Thank you!! Now I've done a YT search for "how to use a black soldier fly container" that came up with a bunch of vids. I'm guessing there will be more info on where to find them in those vids. 🌸
Tanner is great. The Pete inspired expansion is also. Fish head soup may be an adventure. Have a buddy from Brazil that confirms the the soup and eye ball concept. Soildier fly farming nice to see.
Jim’s series has made such a positive impact in my life. Thank you for putting it out there!
I love how chilled out and content Jim seems. I find the other market gardens on TH-cam to be quite intense in comparison.
He is super chill!
lol, might be because Jim doesn't have to do any of his own filming, editing, etc... he gets to just focus on growing.
Jim, I'm so sorry about the loss of your Mom. Thanks for the garden update.
🙏

Maybe because of the system they set up and planned well ahead of time we get to enjoy the plan unfolding before our eyes
Jim and Tanner are very compatible. And the mentoring will work for both of them for a long time. Very enjoyable to see new ideas come to fruition. Looking forward to the next update.
OMG! that young fella has such a deep voice..I LOVE IT!!

Loved the longer video format! There’s always new, fun things to see in Jim’s garden. 😁
Thank you for making these videos. I met Jim and Tanner at the Loquat Festival this past weekend and they are both so very passionate about farming.
Oh its a pleasure! And great you got to meet them
Grab your favorite drink, a healthy snack, and get ready to enjoy!

Best wishes to the guys with all of the upgrades there!
I'm excited to hear what's growing on lol
Jim you're an amazing gardener and teach us so much. Thank you, may God be with you
Pound dirt
Love seeing what Jim is up to. I have about 20 x 4m beds and nooks and crannies!!!
Thanks Pete. My condolences to Jim for mom’s passing.
God bless her soul❤

Thanks for sharing! Jim's garden always amazes me and makes me dream about urban farming.
Jim my condolences for your mom. I lost my mom on Nov 15 this yr too. The property looks amazing once again.
💔
That was a super cool episode, great entertaining banter between you all that's drenched in so much knowledge...
I'm so proud of all of you. This video is inspiring in so many ways 👏 Beautiful work.
Great to see the progress 💪
Jim, I'm so sorry to hear about your Mom crossing over. She had a great life and enjoyed having her son close for all those years. She will be missed but is certainly still watching from over yonder. Big hugs and lots of love. Let the Earth heal your heart.

I love your channel because I have learned so much!!!! My favorite ones are the ones that are about Jim!
Awesome! Thank you!
Hats off to Jim and Pete inspiring growers with every video .

My father in law passed away this year so feel your pain Jim. Thank you for being awesome!! and also Pete for always being selfless.
Jim keeps me inspired in the -2 degrees Ohio winter. Go big Jimmy!
Happy new year, Thank you for all you great video's in 2022😁
Another informative video, and Jim I am very sorry for the loss of your mother 🙏
The guys at Sumpter Correctional in Bushnell get to watch all these Jim videos as part of their ag training. Thank you for these, Pete, and for all you are doing to promote regenerative ag.
It is really hard to say goodbye be brave we all will be united again one day. Thank you for the inspiration. Greetings from Cologne Germany

Awesome Story at the End 🙏
Sorry for your lose Jim 🙏
God Bless 🙏
I am so excited for the new food forest - looking forward to updates 🙂👍
Stay tuned for more soon!
Really love the morning’s that start with a coffee and a Jim video!
Sounds Epic!
Could "too rich of soil" be attributed to too much nitrogen? So the plant just pushed more leaf and later growth to eat up all the available N.
Wonderful fun interesting video! Always excited to see Jim’s videos and always learn something and getting inspired Thanks so much!
Grand Master Kovaleski showing the world that small scale market gardening and permaculture isa beautiful thing. Dirty hands Green Dreams
Good to see Jim and welcome Tanner. I think it’s easier to have wider rows when the rows are not as long. It’s all about context of the garden. I see how it could be easier to step over a 30 inch row if it’s 25-50+ feet long. Happy New year to all🎉
Thank you so much for Jim’s videos! I’m also a regenerative ag farmer in Tennessee inspired by Jim! Thank you for everything!
Awesome attitude and great gardening! Hope more people start doing this for veggie co ops!! So much healthier!!
I hope so too!
Love your guys, so sorry to hear about Jim's Mom, condolences to him and family...I wish I had my old scythe 🙂🙂🙂
Love watching Jim….
Awesome video. So sorry for your loss, Jim. I was still harvesting fresh tomatoes the first week of November in my greenhouse zone 8! Green houses are the bomb.
I love watching and listening to Jim I would buy his book if he had one I’m just starting and would love to learn how to get started

Love Jim's farm it's so inspiring. I'm cleaning up the mess from the hard freeze here in Ocala and starting over. Love you guys
Thanks!! And that's a bummer, but part of the challenges growing in Central FL!
Any tips for seed starting, I’ve watched the videos, but struggle to get healthy plants
We have a soil mix video, a couple, actually. This may help a bit.

Sorry to hear about your Mom Jim. Hoping the best on your farm land working out. Thanks so many times Pete for giving us a window i to Jim's world.
Nice to see jim back happy new year guys

Thanks Pete!! Very interesting and inspirational.
Tanner's voice should be on the radio. :}

Right on!!
I need to learn more about your soil block system. We want to implement it here. Thank you
Wish I lived closer to buy from his CSA
Best video ever so much good free advice. Need to get Jim's class, we're can I find it?
Beautiful
Thank you!
Great work
Love this video!
How did he do with the freeze?
Video coming soon!
Wondering how Jim made it through the cold?
Hopefully after the new year we can get an update on both of you with the bomb cyclone
Been waiting on. The Jim follow up videos.
Hey Pete! I love your channel. I do think Jim should charge more though. ❤
Great video! What market does Jim sell the food at? Would love to buy some!
Sorry for your loss jim
You have a link for that Black soldier fly container>>>? Definitely want to go in with some friends on a couple of these
I've been going through these comments just to find the name of it, lol!
- Thank you!!
Now I've done a YT search for "how to use a black soldier fly container" that came up with a bunch of vids.
I'm guessing there will be more info on where to find them in those vids.
🌸

Soildier fly farming nice to see.
Do you use 1" peg board to lay seeds for carrots or do you tape over certain sections to keep carrots on 3" centres?
What model Felco pruners does Jim use?
Great content
Condolences on your mother passing Jim
Noticed eggshell in the compost. You can give shells back to chickens as a calcium supplement
Some folks avoid doing that, as it could train the chickens to start eating their own eggs
So sorry about your mom. Lost mine two years ago.
