I picked up one from Facebook marketplace for a $100. It’s really good so far. I use it every night. Onkyo with klipsch sounds really good! Previous owner stated there is a problem with some of the hdmi ports. Not sure which ones. But I have my tv and Apple TV connected with no problems.
I’ve had my TXNR 656 for six years. No issues. Dunno. I think there’s issues with all brands now, potentially. Things are made on the cheap now, on average. Haven’t set it up yet - fingers crossed. But yeah, no problems with Onkyo and for the price, sound quality, features, you can’t go wrong. For a Denon in the same price, the Onkyo sounds better and has more features. Maybe if you’re spending $2000.00 I’d go Marantz, but Onkyo has the RZ70, which is likely a better choice.
Totally wrong on all points. Crutchfield still sells this AVR today in 2022. The only problem I had with mine was that it felt a bit warm over the vents on the HDMI board. I purchased 2 AC Infinity fans and run them on low. Receiver is now cool to the touch. The Denon that the Onkyo replaced had over heating problems at the power supply and shut off time to time. I would recommend to everyone to get one or two AC Infinity fans to put on top of a receiver, they only costed $27 with tax and delivery. You can not hear them them run on low and medium speeds and are on rubber feet to keep them from moving due to heavy bass output. The Onkyo has a usb plug in for them and the fans turn off and on with the receiver.
Ok. So the denon x2700 is the model I have, which also has an overheating issue which is solved by pressing the eco button on the remote. It does however depend on the model and serial number of this product that you own. The onkyo not only was defective but not user friendly at all. FYI. Onkyo is now out of business. Yes they do now sell this model on Crutchfield again, then again Crutchfield also sells other products that are known to be defective or unsatisfactory as well (no fault of their own) so it is completely to the discretion of the consumer. Mine is 4 years old and gets heavy use as it is used for everything. The trick is to a USB fan on top of the amp to make sure cooling is sufficient (especially here in Australia). My previous Denon lasted 3 years before it died.

This isn’t a review! Just some crying about it not lasting!!
@@roni1976 I'd like to get angry about your comment but I can't. My video has over 15 thousand unexpected views and I'm not even monetized, so my anger would be just as pointless as your comment. Thanks for the extra view though.
@@moubear32 dress it up however you want to but the truth of the matter is the video is still not a review!
@@roni1976 and this comment does what about it? Dress up your comment the way you want to but I've already gotten views and people talking. Though what you're writing is nonsense, including you 😁
@@roni1976 I love trolls. I used to be one, a better one than you could ever be. You need to work on it more because your comebacks are weak. You didn't seem to try very hard at all this time. Be more outrageous, the nonsense is good but try being more off the Mark or avoiding the subject altogether, like mentioning the grammar. Thank you for attending troll 101.
This video does not justify why is this a Lemon
Definition of a lemon: A new product out of the box that does not function or operate as advertised by the manufacturer. This video and the one before it doubly justify why this product or even the one I purchased is a lemon. At least try to be good a trolling.
Can you show us your HDMI cables? And your set up. 98% of the time people use cheap cables and or don’t know how to set it up correctly.
@@eddieteepe6188 I have 18 years experience with this sort of technology and then some. Your not on my level at all. Nice try.
@@moubear32 🤣Bro. Says the guy who didn’t even explain why he was leaving such an inaccurate review. Oh it’s a lemon. It’s ok tho. Millions of people just like you. You don’t even know me.
Sony? They have Panasonic ICs, they suck balls, unless you spend 10k and above
