- We have just received some very interesting items reveals for the new raids 3 rewards. While some of them were revealed during the summer summit, some remained secret until today. I will be going over all the new information relating to the powerful new weapons that could be coming to oldschool runescape.
In this new dev blog jagex reveals 7 new pieces of equipment that will all be coming from raids 3. These weapons are all very powerful, but mostly focuses on ranged and magic. Raids 3 is set to release around the beginning of 2022, so most of the design is not yet done.

Something interesting to note, upgraded keris on crush will actually be near BIS at KQ without the jewel, over inquisitor mace but behind scythe, and BIS over scythe with the 33% kalphite accuracy bonus from the jewel. (Assuming it is a 1handed spear, has an aggressive crush option, and the accuracy buff straight up multiplies your crush bonus by 4/3)
Even if it’s not BiS I think the one jewel increasing damage done to NPCs will make it a very viable utility item for a lot of content depending on the damage boost and it’s duration.
With the Masuri's amulet it sounds like we got a new max hit when dh bombing.

8:55 20 Mil is only needed if you don't have the stats to put it together, similar to DFS
Oh I’m disappointed. This should be required no matter what, amazing gold sink. 20m is not a big ask, and as an Ironman, I can handle that.

@@andrewcunningham2782 but if you've been killing corp long enough for the arcane, then you'll absolutely have that kinda money, those onyx bolt drops are huge
THe Osmumteh's Khopesh should be more of a slash weapon than stab by the looks of the picture
That’s exactly what I was thinking!
It’s a hook, so if it’s stab damage it’s likely based on the same halberd skeleton as the Scythe, and the scythe is a bigboi slash weapon so they probably wanted to give us a big boi stab weapon too. Therefore, big fuckin hook.
Khopesh is a very weirdly designed kinda hybrid weapon to slash with a weight of an axe but able to stab like a sword. Picture in the video is not common design khopesh since khopeshes tip was made to align with the hilt to get power to the stab and they had small tip "inside" the crescent shape to use as a hook. Still, weird that it has only 50 in slash and not 100.

The keris update sorta reminds me of how they updated it when rs3 was still relatively new (back in like, kalphite king being new days) & it became something people would actually bring there and it wasn't a complete leech tier weapon

i actually think the most op thing is the ring that decreases spec regeneration times by half
you could use it in down time areas where u arent damaging, ill just name raids
like freezing for maiden and smage blood barraging

Was thinking the same. There is a reason why spec pots were considered extremely strong in rs2. In tob it will likely have the biggest effects, like you described. But its strong for most bosses. Sure, it probably wont be worth kt to spend huge amounts just to regen a bit more spec while waiting for graador to spawn. But if someone buys it for tob they can easily make decent use of it in other places

Lightbearer and Death Charge would let you recharge up to 55% spec bar per minute, even assuming they dont have any interaction. That sounds pretty fun, if nothing else

I actually really like the look of a lot of this stuff.
Should've used Raids 3 as an opportunity to introduce BIS range gloves instead of another range amulet after we already have the anguish.
Haven't played in many years, but this is hype for the content creators I follow! I'm feeling every update targets a region locked acc.
Raids 2 = settled
Inferno = verf
Prif = turtletail
Raids 3 = deserted
So if you're after an update to a zone, just region lock yourself for 1k hours and make high quality vids
kind of a dumb joke considering only 1/4 started their series before their regions respective updates

I jut recently went out of my line of goals and got the Keris. Slap on some poison and it’s definitely a cool little dagger.
i think the new ring would be great for NMZ on dps with gmaul and especially dclaws when youre waiting for the powersurge (which i get loooooooong dry streaks often)
I like the sound of almost every item, upgrading the Karis is a great move, ring sounds interesting, as do the ward and wand both sound awesome, and the Kopesh is utilising mechanics in a creative way to combat power creep while making it a strong weapn.
Only items im iffy about is the whole low life stuff, but if it does come into the game it may actually give tank armour a meta, think bandos boots becoming relevant, ring of suffering will be great while wearing it, and can give jagex a chance to release more tank armour for different slots, such a cape with better defensive stats than the inferno cape but no offensive bonuses. Helm slot as well.
it's just taken from Path of Exile lol. Low life has been meta for the last few leagues. You can see how it worked out on PoE, it was pretty gimmicky.

Depending on how it works, that bleed effect on the upgraded keris could make it the new melee chinning.

This amulet will be so nice with Dharok, needless to say we'll need some time till price drops, but after it does doing mole or nmz will be a bit faster

@@joshscott4130 The amulet stops draining health at 40%, you can still easily rockcake/locator orb down to 1hp in addition to the amulet.
@@joshscott4130 because with the lowlife effect active it will have 12 melee strength and +17 in all offensive bonuses, making it stronger than a torture

Love the information as always, but more typoes slipped in this time. *Keris instead of Kertis and Osmumten's Khopesh instead of Osumten's Kopesh in your section headers. Keep up the hard work though! :)

As a Missouri citizen I was very excited to here we where finally having a crossover episode to be included in the new OSRS raid, we have a great deal of lore that can benefit greatly to Jagex.

Ring will be OP. You put it on at the end of kills/in-between kills for the short additional bursting of specs. Say Bandos, you would double spec restore between the kills while doing minions. So you almost always wil lhave spec up, even on fast kills.
I wonder if they'll do spec timer resets to prevent cheesing that timer, a la rapid restore

It functions like your health regeneration when you flick rapid heal. It resets the timer on HP regen.
The ring will function the same but with the spec recharge bar.
I just watched a list vid that suggested buffing the keris and the guy thought it would never ever happen and the Kerris would always be irrelevant lol

@Yellow Zoloft they are an investment fond pretty much, they take a cut of the money they make every year. Jagex needed money, so they pumped some into it and in return take a cut. Initially they wanted to monetize the game more, as all chinese companies want, but jagex told them it would literally break the game and then there would be 0 cut at all.
@Yellow Zoloft it has been a succes, but not financialy. Believe it or not, theres a reason rs3 got filled with p2w bullshit , because they could not survive on subs and they also raised the sub fee some years agoe. They needed it badly at the time

Man I just bought membership for the first time in my life and I've been playing on and off since '06. I'm just sticking to Skilling cause I don't know how to do any of the members skills lol. Runescape is so in depth.

Khopesh I agree, but a Partisan is literally a spear like weapon and spears in the game always had a crush bonus.
lightbearer ring could be used in places where there are times between kills, GWD for example, when you kill the adds you equip it and then put back on zerker/archers ring while you wait.
It could also extend certain runs by a lot with an SGS.
My thought was either that or in the inferno so you can really milk the SGS.
With max melee the average prayer restoration of the SGS is 22, being able to spec every 75 seconds gives you 17.6 prayer regen a minute. A single overhead takes less than 17.6 prayer per minute with 5 or more prayer bonus.
You could bring an SGS and melee gear to replace the need for prayer potions entirely at certain areas.

A partisan is a spear-like weapon, so I imagine that's where that crush bonus is going to come from. Very neat.
Spears are made for thrusting tho

Regardless, spears in OSRS have all three attack stiles.

I think actually the quest reward gives you the ability to upgrade the Keris but still comes from the raid I hope

It sounds like the Khopesh does miss, or it wouldn't need a special attack that increases accuracy by 50%.
I dont think the ability to not miss an attack extends to the special attack, hence +50% accuracy

accuracy bonus would just mean higher roll chance for a better hit. I'm pretty sure they do mean it won't miss. Essentially you are making 9 the new 0 roll meaning accuracy still matters

I was going from only having Bandos and whop to finally finding the good stuff the grind (Ahem, slayer) and get myself Tbow, scythe, max melee/magic/ranged easily

Why can't their be any mid-level raids tho, I don't want to have to grind all the way to 80's/90's in some stats just so I can participate in content. Much like WoW had dungeons for all levels that offered more powerful drops/equipment than regular mobs I think OSRS should incorporate something similar that makes use of existing areas.
@Laurynas Leskauskas how would it be dead content? It would only stand to gain popularity with the new group Iron Man addition, I know it would also be really good to solo.

eye of the corrupter sounds amazing for slayer task when you are too lazy or poor for cannon, jewel of the sun for bosses or just high def single targets, and breach of the scarab would make farming scarabites way less tedious and a big boon for kalphite queen

For an 80 attack weapon the Kertis is very mid grade and niche but it expands on a niche and creates a meta and I like it

I don't understand why the kopesh has a high stab bonus... It's a slashing weapon.
unless you stab them in the side with a slash attack #5head
think of it more as a hook; a downward strike would be a powerful stab attack
