I think AFK has also just started to mean you don’t have to pay complete attention the whole time, and that it’s easy to do certain things at the same time. For some skills, that isn’t the case at all, you have to pay complete attention. (At least if you want to the be most efficient and/or earn money)
It’s not playing as little as possible, it’s playing so much that you want to play when you shouldn’t be like when you’re working so you have to find ways to afk haha
In a game with a logout timer of 5 minutes, you can be away from the main window. For a little under a 1/5th of your log in time. If you need a truly afk activity during work, farm ammonite crabs. That's literally as afk as you can get in the game.

I was homeschooled through a private school that sent you your work for the year and you would mail it in to have it graded. My deal with myself during the school year was I could play as long as I wanted as long as I also did schoolwork. I finished high school before I turned 16 and picked up a ton of hobbies and read a lot of books. I explained it to him later in life when he asked how I could type so fast which was a benefit of playing pre GE and getting 99 fishing the first time on free to play before my friend jacked my account and I got 99 fishing again on members

Training is not "playing the game". You play the game once you've reached certain thresholds, meaning getting a fully enjoyable experience is typically blocked off by those thresholds. Just like real life, you don't enjoy grinding the gym to get that perfect body, or hitting the books to get that good grade. You enjoy the fruits of your labor after the fact.

Thieving is super easy with mobile. Trap an ardy knight(or find a world with a splasher) and then turn off npc attack option. Then just keep tapping a bunch. You can get a moneybag every single tick and just have to open them every so often.
You didn't mention Summer garden for thieving afk training. It is really hard to set it correctly, but if you do so, you can basically 1 click take the fruit and run past the guards every time for every 40 seconds.
I like to combine the gold smithing and jewellery making in edgeville, smith full load of gold bars then make amulets, only need to bank once for 2 full invs
While it is still technically considered afk, it would be better described as idle. The vast majority of tasks/actions that require players to go afk can easily take longer than 5 or 10 minutes, which is only met by a few of the skills you listed. In other games where the inventory is significantly larger, you probably could consider crafting a task that can be afked, but otherwise, it's just considered idling
For fishing, you’re better off going to the spot just south of priffindas, a bit east of the iowerth camp. The spot NEVER moves (fly fishing, trout and salmon) so you can AFK until your invent is full and then drop fish and repeat
This video is almost perfect. Only note I have is to say what levels a player may stop failing obstacles and such at, rather than vaguely saying low levels. What is considered low level, especially when your'e showing yourself mining pure ess with a dragon pick lol. Just a thought as it would provide level goals

I used a foot pedal to high alch on an alt and it got banned (1 stomp was equal to one click). had majority of my bank liquidated into alchables on the account. I have video evidence this is what I used but Jagex's ban appeal is, lets be honest, horrible and will not let you actually communicate with them. I see that and think it is a good way to lose your account. Other than that all good.

Its a bit out there but you should show npc aggression lines within the NPC aggression plug in, it shows where you need to run to re aggro, can sometimes be a couple steps to the side to re aggro! Helpful for sand crabs instead of running of the screen you just run 2/3 tiles
Surprised you didnt mention butter churning under the cooking skill. Probably the most afk method since it takes so long to turn cream into butter(or cheese even)
The worst thing about woodcutting is the fact that if you are AFKing, depending on how long it takes and if the tree doesn't deplete, the auto log out will get you instead. Super annoying especially on mobile. Wish Jagex would fix this and only start the auto log out once you stop woodcutting

for melee afking a really handy tip is to use a dinhs bulwark spec to aggro all monsters around you at once without having to manually hit them all, lots faster than method shown :)

You know the game is good when the players are focused on making new techniques to not play the game.

You can afk thieving/ little farming with highest lvl sorceress garden and turn in squirks for thieving exp. One click method is every 40 seconds

Thieving Summer sq'irkjuice in the Sorceress's Garden minigame is 140k thieving xp/h and requires a few clicks every 20 or so seconds.
You didn't mention Summer garden for thieving afk training. It is really hard to set it correctly, but if you do so, you can basically 1 click take the fruit and run past the guards every time for every 40 seconds.
It's too rare to get the opportunity. You spend a minute concentrating to find the right time then get 15 seconds of afk time
Don't tell the Ourania Runecraft one, now we'll get even more "taxi" people.
Boost distance settings, click less. More viable a solution.

NMZ is my fav afk. Good combat experience and just have to replenish your potions like every 5 mins or so
flesh crawlers are a good afk combat training for low levels. They drop herbs so ranarrs make some money and they stay agressive for ever.
