    If people are struggling with collision for meshes and the particles are not interacting with the mesh make sure " collision " is added to the particle inside Niagara, also make sure your asset that you are using has a complex collision enabled to do that open up your asset tab by double " left " clicking it in the content browser once it opens in the details panel on the right scroll down until you see a setting named collision in there you will probably see " Project defaults " change this to Complex as simple especially if the mesh has multiple angles and shapes.
    If anyone is still struggling with this I do have a discord you can reach me on and I will always take the time to help anyone but just remember I am human I am not a robot so be nice :) good luck with your projects and hit me up if you need help.

    I am a bit poorly sick, so my apologize for the dead sounding voice and the lack of ability to think, there's a few settings I forgot to mention in this that you can change to make it look and appear slightly better such as size of particles and amount to spawn under the " spawn rate " adjusting these parameters will result in better looking water effects.
    If for any reason you need extra help with this just let me know and if you would like to see more advanced and interesting effects using NIAGARA I can do that too just need a few days to recover I think :D
    Have a play with the settings once you get it looking like what you see in the tutorial video to get the result you want! :)

    • @AMMediaGames
      @AMMediaGames  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Keln02 it's the render bounds that affects performance if you have infinite bounds on the sprite render then it will impact performance as even when not looked at the GPU will still load it into Vram enabling limited bounds so it only renders the particles within view of the player will help massively. In testing I've not had any issues with FPS having lots of these in my scene all depends on many spawned particles you have the life of the particles and what material or texture you use also. yes set it to GPU rendered take the load from the CPU

    I created multiple waterfalls and followed exaclty the steps but it still goes right through my meshes. The assets Im using comes from Quixel and does not have a "complex collision" box to tick. Im using Unreal Engine 5.1.

      OH I found it! It works! pretty confusing coz "Collision" has two tabs. One is when u click the mesh in details panel. Apparently, there is a 2nd step which is to click on the mesh again under "Static Mesh" tab wic will bring you to the correct "Collision" tab to edit. needs to be clearer next time :D

    Do you know how restarize particles to look like water?

    • @AMMediaGames
      @AMMediaGames  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Create a particle system in the Content Browser by right-clicking in an empty space and selecting "Particle System" from the context menu.
      Open the particle system by double-clicking on it.
      In the Details panel, scroll down to the Rendering section and expand it.
      Under the Rendering section, find the "Render" drop-down menu and select "TypeDataModule".
      In the TypeDataModule section, find the "RenderMode" drop-down menu and select "TypeDataModule".
      Under the TypeDataModule section, find the "RenderGeometry" drop-down menu and select "TypeDataModule".
      In the TypeDataModule section, find the "RenderGeometry" drop-down menu and select "Sprite".
      In the TypeDataModule section, find the "RenderSortMode" drop-down menu and select "ProjectedDistance".
      Save the particle system.
      Drag and drop the particle system into your level.
      In the Details panel for the particle system, scroll down to the "Advanced" section and expand it.
      Under the Advanced section, find the "SortingPolicy" drop-down menu and select "SortAlongAxis".
      Under the SortingPolicy section, find the "SortAxis" drop-down menu and select the axis along which you want to sort the particles.
      Play the level and the particles should be rasterized. You can adjust the size, shape, and behavior of the particles in the particle system's settings to achieve the desired effect.
      Hope this helps :)

      @AMMediaGames  ปีที่แล้ว

      Version of Unreal you are using?... also have you made sure the objects that you want the particles to collide with also have collision whether that be simple or complex etc? the particles will only collide with an object that has a collision enabled if for any reason the particles are not colliding then most cases it's down to there being no collision mesh around the " Rock/Wall/Stones" that are placed in the scene. also make sure collision is added in the particle system.

    • @AMMediaGames

      Its difficult to say as there are a few reasons but try looking at your bounds settings for the particles, theres Gpu sim, fixed bounds and dynamic bounds if you set it to fixed bounds just below are some size parameters adjust that to 100 x 100 x 100 , default is usually -100 x -100 x -100
